14th June 2007.
Height:
6’1”
Build:
Slender with a little muscle tone. Fit and healthy.
Wand:
Very strong and steady, somewhat hard and inept. This wand is good mainly in the aspects of magic arts that suppose dealing with material structure of objects, e.g. Transfiguration (though it lacks preciseness a little). Aside from that, it is a very powerful protective wand: it does well in both attack and defence. May indicate owner’s noble origin or old family tradition. Not suitable for dark practices.
As a vampire he can no longer use it so his wand now resides with most of his belongings at home with his family
Patronus:
The memory is of a day spent fishing on the River Shannon with his father.
No wand, no patronus.
Boggart:
A mirror with himself staring back at him. His reflection would be pale, his eyes red, fangs bared and he would be covered in blood.
Dementor:
What he thinks the man who killed him’s voice sounds like laughing at him. Pretty obvious why.
Amortentia:
Broom polish, disinfectant, vanilla, blood.
Nicknames:
Scotty, Scoot, Scooter.
Clothing Style:
He wears his shirt untucked, tie loosened and hair messy. This is also his style of everyday wear, a typical teen age boy. His favourite kind of outfit is loose jeans or track pants, muggle surf shirt, hooded jumper and casual sneakers. He dresses how he wants but always makes sure he’s comfortable.
Everything about Scott’s dress sense is casual, cool and laid back.

Pets:
Corday (pronounced how it looks) the female Eurasian Pygmy Owl. To best describe her would be a bundle of feathers. She is about the size of Scott’s fists bunched together and a fairly useless post owl. Scott doesn’t mind that she can’t handle anything over a thin envelope; he has her more for the company than anything else. She has a lot of personality and is very expressive; Scott swears she glares at him when he does something to offend her.
Pensieve:
To say Scott’s arrival into the world was a little exciting would be an understatement. He, along with his sister Daniela were born in a muggle hospital in the blustering city of Chicago, America. Their parents had travelled, even against medical advice, to the city to visit relatives and in front of Abby Kovac’s entire family; she went in the premature labour. The twins hadn’t been due for another two weeks so they weren’t dangerously premature at birth. Scott’s first ever memory was that of all his older brothers’ faces peering eagerly at him.
Soon after the twins were born, the Kovac family returned home to a large house in the Irish country side, beside the Shannon River. Although his brothers were a lot older than him they tried their best to include Scott in whatever they did, their father had always instilled in them how important family was. At first it was hard to say good bye to his older brothers as they went off to school but as Scotty grew he got used to it. It was also hard on him as a young kid to have is father disappear suddenly in the night, one of the hazards of being the doctor on call. Just like with his brothers Scott got used to it.
From a very young age he became extremely close to his father. They would spend hours together speaking Croatian and just doing things together. Out of all his brothers Scott was one of the closest to their father and learnt to speak Croatian more fluently than his siblings.
As he grew older it became apparent that he was expected to follow in the family trend. All his brothers were studying to become doctors and he was expected to follow suit. Although Scott showed natural talent for being a healer, the unintended pressure from his family turned him off wanting to become a magical doctor. Instead his fascination lay with becoming an Auror. He’d heard the stories of Harry Potter and had thought he was brilliant. When he arrived at Hogwarts he did his best to be a good student. He got to class early, never got lost, always did homework but that drive soon fizzled, replaced with a more laid back approach.
In his seventh and final year at Hogwarts Scott developed feelings for a fifth year Gryffindor girl by the name of Vivian Jones. Just as he worked up the courage to talk to her she was killed during a dare he had suggested. For weeks it tore him apart until it was discovered she was alive when he met her randomly on the streets of Hogsmeade. Instantly the two picked up where they’d left of, entering into a strong and loving relationship with each other. Even the fact that Vivian was a vampire didn’t get in the way.
What did get in the way however was a girl Scott had known since her arrival to Hogwarts a year after his own; Finlay Mackenzie. The Hufflepuff had been one of his best friends for years and one night, as the two drunk themselves silly, they slept together. It brought the boy and Vivian’s relationship to a grinding halt as well as nearly destroying an old friendship.
It was these turn of events that led to an attempted reconciliation between Scott and Fin, organised by Hufflepuff and Head Boy August Jensen one night in Hogsmeade. It definitely did not go to plan as it ended in the deaths of both August and Scott. In a desperate attempt to save him Vivian arrived on the scene and attempted to turn him but before anyone could gauge whether it had worked or not, his bleeding body was whisked away to St Mungo’s.
There all Hell broke loose as it was one of Scott’s brother’s who was first to find Fin holding his bloodied body. Despite all efforts on many a Healer’s part, the boy died not long after. In shock and unsure what to do with him, his family had his body moved to the morgue where it remained for three days as funeral arrangements were made only there would be no body to bury.
At the end of the third day Scotty awoke, only he wasn’t Scotty anymore. It was as a changeling the boy had awoken; Viv’s attempt to save him having worked. Alone, with no one to keep him under control, the teen unwillingly savaged and killed a coroner and raped Finlay –who had come to say goodbye. Distraught at what he’d done he hid in a broom cupboard in the hospital where, by some miracle, he was found by none other than Vivian. She helped him to escape back to the relative safety of the Hog’s Head pub but it didn’t take long for a very official vampire to come knocking on the door...
[/ul] the inner workings
People, the more the merrier, unless you’re gay or weird looking
Food, blood.
Vivian, even though he hurt her he still luffs her.
Family, it’s an important part of one’s life. He’s disowned himself from his even though they would still gladly have him around.
Animals, they’re the best things to talk to. They listen without judging and love you no matter what.
Hooded Jumpers, the best jumper known to man. They’re warm, comfy and they hide your stomach so you can eat a big meal.
Pranks, they make life for him and others more interesting.
Medicine, although the topic interests him he’s not interested in a job in that field.
Hanging out with friends, a good way to end a stressful day. Has no friends anymore.
The Colour Blue, awesome colour.
Quidditch, he loves all sports but this one is his favourite. He was the seeker of the Gryffindor team and a good one too, pity he can’t play anymore.
Dislikes:
Being compared to his brothers, they are who they are but he’s not them. Doesn’t have that problem anymore.
Pressure, if there’s too much pressure to do one thing it’s a safe bet Scott will go off and do the opposite.
Cats, they keep trying to eat Corday.
Drinking, getting drunk is stupid and irresponsible. Never again.
Overly Large Crowds, Scott hates being jostled around and people invading his space.
Girly Guys, they make him feel a little uncomfortable.
Depressed people, he doesn’t get how most people get and stayed depressed.
Needy people, they get annoying after awhile.
Fighting, though he hates it he won’t back down from one.
Being a Vampire, goodbye life he once knew.
Quirks and Habits:
Lapses into Croatian when tired or stressed, whistles when idle, chews straws, chews the ends of pens and sucks the end of his quill.
Mirror of Erised:
It was to be a successful Auror. Now it’s a mystery what he truly desires.
In Depth Personality:
• Courageous – Most teenagers think that they’re invincible and so does Scott, maybe more so than others. He will take on anything, no matter whether it’s way out of his skill levels or not. Most people think he has a death wish but he’s just foolishly fearless. Also helps that he is now actually near invincible.
• Caring – Scott cares about what’s going on with his friends and tries to help them as best he can.
• Problem Solver – You got a problem? Scott’s the one to take it to, unless it’s an academic problem. He’s good at dealing with problems with people especially those that require force.
• Determined –When he wants something he let nothing stand in his way at all, regardless of the consequences
• Perseveres, endures – Scott does not give up on anything, with the exception of homework, but most of the time he doesn’t even start it. Once he’s started something he won’t feel right unless he sees it through all the way.
• Devoted – To his family and whatever lucky girl he gets to call his.
• Friendly – Most of the time to most people anyway. Scott loves to meet new people, especially girls.
• Optimistic – There’s always a way around a problem or a light at the end of the tunnel or a silver lining to Scott. His optimism can be somewhat annoying at times.
• Self-confident – Scott is very sure of himself and stands up for what he wants and what he believes.
• Modest – He doesn’t brag about his talents, much. Scott hates the spotlight, he feels he does nothing to deserve it and doesn’t want it because it makes people think he’s living up to his older brothers.
• Immature – Full of pranks, Scotty often gets in trouble for ‘acting like a child’.
• Laid Back – He hardly ever takes anything seriously and more often than not his laid back attitude gets him or others into trouble.
• Disorganized – If Scott’s bag were ever to break it would reveal nothing but absolute mess. He never cleans out his bags which means he can’t find the things he wants and often loses things in the bowels of the crumpled papers, broken quills and empty inkpots.
• Stubborn – It’s either Scott’s way or the highway. Once he has an opinion he sticks to it no matter if it’s right or wrong. His idea’s the best one and the only one to use.
• Argumentative - Scott has a bad habit of getting into arguments if he doesn't agree with someone or thing. They often get to the point of throwing punches.
• Short Tempered - Just like his dad, Scott has a fiery temper but tries not to lose it too often.
• Prone to bouts of depression – after being killed and awaking a vampire, Scott, after seeming fine, can become miserable for hours on end.
• Changeling hunger – if he ever gets extremely hungry he could slip into the predator trance like state experienced in the morgue of St. Mungo’s. He is a danger to all humans around him until he learns control.

He was dead, he was gone. This was it, Scotty’s life was over and all the things he ever wanted to do and the person he wanted to be was lost to him. He was leaving behind his enormous family for the pitch black. There was no Heaven or Hell for the boy; only flashes of sound, light, smell and an incredible, burning hunger. It gnawed at him, overriding all other thoughts and feelings; all except one. A realisation dawned on him that he could feel scratchy sheets underneath him and smell the antiseptic, clean smell that could only belong to one place; hospital.
At once the boy’s eyes flew open and he was sitting bolt upright. Although the lighting was dull it still overwhelmed his sensitive eyes. As he got used to it Scotty saw that he was sitting in a gown in a curtained off area of the morgue of St. Mungos; a place he’d seen many times before. In the back of the teen’s mind the part of him that was Scotty Kovac started to panic and raise questions as to why he was where dead bodies were stored when he was obviously not dead but another, new, part of him silenced it. It was the hunger and the urge for blood. The bass drum rhythm of a heartbeat entered his ears and at that moment Scotty forgot himself.
Deathly pale the not-Scotty stalked out from behind the curtains and rounded on the mortician that had just entered. At once the man turned to run but was not quick enough. Driven on instinct alone, the boy gripped and slammed the man into a wall with supernatural speed and strength. His heart beat and the visible pulsing of blood through the veins of the neck had Scotty in a near trance. He watched eyes wide and tongue running over newly elongated canine teeth. He could smell the man’s fear and that only spurred him on to give a low guttural, animalistic growl and then to bite savagely at his neck.
Unawares as to how to feed properly, the mortician’s neck was savaged by the new vampire. The taste of blood, as horrifying as it was to the old part of him, was the heaven Scotty had been hoping for. The more he bit, gnawed and sucked at the man’s neck the more the grating hunger was satiated. At last, with a mouth, chin and hospital gown stained red with blood, there was no more blood for Scotty to drain. He had killed the man and had given it no second thought to it.
Breathing hard, the changeling stood over the body of his victim. As the hunger was appeased the instinct of the predator began to dull and the old part of Scotty began to resurface; that was until the sound of someone entering the morgue. Their scent hit him and there was a sense of familiarity about it; it was Finlay and she was a woman. Again the instinct of the hunter arose and this time the boy hid himself away to watch her for a moment. He would stalk her, only this time he wasn’t going to feed. Instead his newly acquired mind told him to purge himself of all things human and a woman would help him do this.
