The Hospital Wing was so quiet at six in the morning, good. Adrian snuck through the doors carrying a semi-conscious divination professor. There didn’t appear to be anyone around which meant he avoided the awkward questions for a few more hours. He placed her in the bed next to Shiro Kawakaze’s and collapsed onto the floor in-between them. The man sat on the floor and stared across the room for awhile. The combined stress of rescuing people, lack of sleep and going head to head with a vampire had made him feel extremely exhausted and washed out.
Adrian thought about pulling himself into one of the beds but his body refused to move. Every joint was beginning to go stiff now that he’d stopped moving and when he did try to move it sent sharp pains rippling through his muscles. The floor would do for now, he slept on the floor once a month so he was used to it. Eventually he drifted into a fitful sleep filled with flashes of the vampire’s taunting face and Diana, but this time she was dead. He jerked awake to see that both Diana and Shi were ok and there was no sign of the vampire in the hospital wing. The morning light shone brightly through the windows, he must have been out for at least a couple of hours but if felt like he’d hardly slept at all.
Adrian wondered whether anyone had seen him come in this morning. He’d been so focused of getting to the hospital wing that he hadn’t really payed attention to his surroundings. The nurse would be up soon, hopefully she would be able to help him into a bed, he sure as hell wasn’t going anywhere by himself. More than anything, Adrian dreaded the rumours that would begin to spread and how much fun one Abraham Grey was going to have at his expense.

How Diana ended up in the Hospital Wing was completely beyond her comprehension. It had taken her a moment after waking to even figure out that she wasn’t in her own bed, let alone where she had ended up. Nothing felt broken, or injured, so why was she in here?
After hitting the hospital bed earlier that morning, Diana had pretty much fallen asleep instantaneously, giving the memory blocking side effect of Dacian’s saliva plenty of time to completely fulfil its work. She remembered getting up at 4:30 in the morning to prepare and heading to the forest at 5 to get the necessary woods for Fire Omen practicals, but after that, she could very well have single-handedly fought a dragon to the death for all she knew. It looked about 9 or so judging by the brightness outside.
Diana was feeling unusually fatigued as she forced herself to roll over to get a better look at her surroundings. Her body was obstinately giving her the strong sensation it was better to just nod off again as it always did every morning, and she was no stranger to ignoring it. Shiro was one bed away still looked to be asleep, and Diana almost started when she saw Adrian lying right on the floor between both the beds.
What the? How had he ended up down there? The poor fellow looked absolutely exhausted. At first she thought he was asleep, but she quickly noticed his eyes were wide open and staring at the ceiling.
An attempt to sit up only summoned a strong bout of light-headedness and little dark spots dancing across her vision, which were quite effective in convincing Diana to lie back down again. She groaned. Okay, too fast. A second effort, little by little, proved much more successful.
”Adrian?” Diana leaned over worriedly to look at the Professor on the ground again, brow furrowed and expression worried. ”Are you alright? What happened?” she asked quietly, so as not to wake Shiro if he was sleeping.

The golden light shining through the windows mesmerized Adrian for some strange reason, he definitely was exhausted. He was too busy staring at it to notice Diana was waking up. The past night didn’t seem like it had been real, it all felt like it had all happened so long ago. He was torn between telling someone what he’d seen and honouring the agreement he’d made with the creature. What would it do if it found out he broke the deal? Adrian was too tired to really think about.
Diana speaking scared the man out of his thoughts. He jumped and took awhile to register who had spoken. He looked at Diana, blinking stupidly and unsure of what to say. “I’m fine, just a little tired,” he replied eventually through a yawn. How to tell her what happened? Adrian decided she deserved the truth. “You were attacked by a-“ he couldn’t bring himself to say the word, “-you were attacked by a creature in the forest, I found you and brought you here.” It was still the truth, even if it wasn’t the entire truth. “How are you feeling?” he quickly changed the subject. From the looks of it she was ok but he still wanted to make sure.

Adrian’s lack of proper explanation was probably even worse. It gave Diana enough leeway to imagine herself being attacked by pretty much everything on the face of the planet. Whatever it was that was bad enough to put Adrian off from even saying the word, it had to be bad, and Diana’s mind was instantly flicking to the worst possible scenarios.
She hadn’t been paralysed, she could definitely feel her toes, although in a true paranoid fashion that was exactly what crossed her mind first. Werewolf then? Diana felt herself tense up until her brain got back into gear; the full moon was two days ago, so that was impossible. Thank god. What was it then? And had Shiro been attacked by the same thing? She couldn’t help but notice they were the only two put next to each other and they were both as far as possible from everyone else, the furthest away from the door.
”I feel fine,” she responded automatically to the question. It was the truth, strangely enough, but that wasn’t what was bothering her at the moment. The not knowing was much worse and Diana felt herself clutching the sheets unusually tightly. ”Adrian... what happened?”

Shi was confused and totally disorientated when he woke up. He felt like he had a hangover, though he was pretty sure he hadn’t been drinking the night before. He pulled the blankets over his head to block out the light. Then he realized someone was talking, a woman.
“Oka-san?” he asked softly, pushing back the covered and sitting up. He was immediately embarrassed to find that it was Professor Adair, who was certainly not his Mother. He blushed and sank back under his covers a little, telling himself she probably wouldn’t have understood what the word meant anyway.
They were in the hospital wing, and she seemed to be ill too since she was also in bed. Shi wondered what had happened, the last thing he remember was detention in the forest, after that nothing. Professor Connery was there too, Shi realized. He was beginning to wish he hadn’t woken up at all.
“Um… excuse me but, what am I doing here?” He asked.

Of course she’d want to know the full truth, after all she was in the hospital wing with no idea why. Adrian took a deep breath going over how to say it finding there was no easy way to tell Diana. “It was a vampire that attacked you; it was the same thing that attacked Shiro last night,” he sighed. Just the thought of going back into the forest anytime soon made him cringe. He couldn’t bring himself to tell her the full story. He couldn’t tell her that the thing had taken her hostage and wouldn’t have hesitated to kill her. Instead he stopped talking and just stared at her for awhile, judging her reaction.
Adrian was jumpy enough and Shiro suddenly waking didn’t help. He jumped as the boy spoke from behind him. He tore his gaze away from Diana to blink stupidly at the boy for a second, registering his question. “Don’t you remember what happened to you last night?” he asked slowly, the lack of sleep taking its toll, “you were attacked and I had to carry you out of the forest. I thought you were awake for that.” Obviously he’d been wrong, wouldn’t have been the first time. Tired and drained he thought more seriously about dragging himself over to a bed but once again Adrian’s body refused him.

Vampire.
Notgoodnotgoodnotgood.
Diana’s hand flew immediately to her throat, but search as she might she couldn’t feel anything. Was that good or bad? Did their bites really heal that fast or had Adrian gotten to her first? The second option was much more pleasing to think about, especially since the first had some very nasty implications. Her knowledge of dark creatures was pretty poor, but she was sure Vampires had to feed you their own blood before you became one of them right? Right?
Shiro started to stir, which was honestly a merciful distraction. It gave Diana something else to think about other than her own predicament. The kid half mumbled something in Japanese then, peculiarly, turned an interesting shade of red. All Diana could say in Japanese was “Hello” and “Thankyou,” so Shiro’s little mistake was a lucky no harm no foul. ”Shiro, you all right?”
Having been sitting up for a moment had thankfully done wonders on her head, so she was able to inch her legs over the side to sit down properly without her skull protesting too much. Adrian could explain what had happened but- ...wait. Speaking of Adrian, he was still lying seemingly nonchalantly on the floor. ||OoC|| The post looks unfinished cause it is. I was stuck with it for two hours not knowing what else to say until I decided "Fuck it, good enough." Sorry. ^^||

OOC: I'm sorry it took me so long to reply! Work has kept me from rping these last few weeks. With her baby boy on her arm and a mug tea in her free hand Reese stepped out of her living quarters and into the hospital wing. Last night had been one hell of a night with Shiro being brought in after being bitten by a vampire, staying with him during the night until she could be sure he would not wake up in the morning with a pair of extra teeth, brewing the necessary potions, calming down all the freaked out patients and taking care off Nathan who was coming down with the flu. Just a mere five hours ago Reese had finally be able to get some sleep and when she had rested her eyes she had been out cold. It was Nathan who’d started crying for his mother just a few minutes ago that she’d woken up again. No rest for the nurse around Hogwarts or so it seemed. Yet when she set foot in the room Reese found herself surprised by the scene at the end of the wing. Shiro was awake and the divination professor was sitting on a bed? And Reese could swear someone was laying on the floor as she could see a pair of legs sticking out from between beds. What the hell was going on here?! Placing her mug quickly on a desk nearby Reese made her way over to the back of the wing. A worried look covered her face and her eyes scanned over all the people present in the room. “What’s going on here?” Although it was more than obvious something wasn’t right. Shiro seemed alright at first glance, Diana looked awfully pale and when someone was laying on the floor that never meant anything good. With Nathan still on her arm-who had just rested his head against his mothers shoulder, sucking on his thumb in silence-Reese stepped around Shiro’s bed to only discover Adrian laying on the floor. Instantly her nursing side kicked in as she glanced over to Diana before she lowered herself next to Adrian on the floor. ”Diana, please lay down. You’re looking way too pale to be sitting up straight like that.” Turning her face towards Adrian her eyes quickly scanned over him before they locked onto his eyes. “Come on, lets get you into a bed.” Adrian looked awful and it was clear that even though at first glance he seemed to be somewhat alright there was some patching up to do. Pressing a soft kiss to Nathan’s head she gently sat Nathan down in the floor. “You just sit here for a minute honey, mommy will come get you.” She softly said, before she turned back to Adrian to help him get on his feet. “Now can someone tell me what the hell is going on in here?”
