♥ ♥ l e v i. there's always some reason to feel not good enough and it's hard at the end of the day. ”Pity it isn’t Rhys.”
Levi just about froze when he heard Kris say that. What was he supposed to say now? He could either agree with the Ravenclaw, ignore the whole statement, or tell him the truth. As much as he wanted to go with the last option, Levi's brain was telling him to just change the topic. That was the only way to avoid it. He wanted to avoid it. 'No! This is the perfect opportunity. Just...just get on with it. You've already wasted over twenty minutes.'
Turning to look at his friend, Levi caught his gaze and just stared for a moment, a silent message conveyed in his expression. He bit his lower lip softly, wanting to speak but unable to bring himself to do so, and just stared. For once, he wanted Kris to read him. This time he wanted his friend to understand what he was thinking.
'Kris...it is Rhys. I...like Rhys. It is him..' He said nothing aloud, though he confessed his secrets to the other in his mind. 'Please, understand..it is him.' Still, he held Kris's gaze, honesty and hesitation lining his features. It probably wouldn't be too hard for the older male to figure out what Levi was holding back.

Why was Levi looking at him like he was missing the punch line of a joke? Kristian frowned, green eyes connecting with blue, trying to read what it was the other wanted him to see. The boy seemed so lost, so unsure of whether or not he wanted to continue this conversation. What had they been talking about aga- Oh. Oh.
Rhys. Levi liked Rhys?
Levi liked Rhys. That was...
Well..just wow.
It took him a few minutes to recover from this sudden revelation, his face suddenly breaking into a gentle and happy smile. This was good. This was really good. Kris squeezed Levi’s shoulder gently, beaming at his younger friend. ”That is great Levi!” It really was. Rhys was nice, and sweet, and most importantly, he needed someone to care for. Someone who would let him, who would realize just how special it was. Sometimes, Jasper took things for granted.
”You’d be good for him. Jasper...well, you should probably watch out with him. He’s a nice guy most of the time, but sometimes he gets sort of...possessive. It’s ridiculous, since they’re just friends, but I don’t think Jasper would actually like him to date...” He was getting way ahead of things, wasn’t he? The Ravenclaw felt that he was being slightly unfair to Jasper perhaps, but he needed to warn Levi. Just in case.

♥ ♥ l e v i. there's always some reason to feel not good enough and it's hard at the end of the day. The Ravenclaw took a minute, but he eventually got it, his lips curving into a wide grin and his overall posture seeming to brighten. He squeezed Levi's shoulder and words began to jump from his mouth, seemingly quite excited about this revelation. Levi's cheeks began to burn with a blush, and he quickly looked aside. This was honestly rather embarrassing, but he was glad that his friend seemed so positive about it.
Kris continued to talk, warning Levi about Jasper and going on about how him and Rhys would be good together, and the Hufflepuff continued to listen. His friend's enthusiasm was mildly entertaining, and Levi couldn't help but smile a bit and turn back toward him. "Heh..thanks, Kris.." He said quietly, brushing his bangs aside once again. "But um.. I don't think I'm planning on...doing anything about it. I just..I think I might like him...but..." he trailed off. There was no way in hell that he would be brave enough to ask Rhys out. There wasn't even any possibility of him telling the other boy that he fancied him.

"But um.. I don't think I'm planning on...doing anything about it. I just..I think I might like him...but..."
Kris kept beaming at him, wondering if he was possibly going to upset his friend if he subtly nudged Rhys to ask Levi out. Or hang out with him some more, see what happens. The problem with the two was that they were both incredibly shy and awkward with conversations that went beyond ‘hi, how are you’. Not that Kristian was much of a talker himself, but if he had to, he’d try to get the two to interact a little more, hopefully doing them both a favor.
He wasn’t actually sure whether or not Rhys liked Levi, he wasn’t even sure whether or not the boy himself even knew. He had known him a little before Jasper came around, but back then the boy had been so extremely withdrawn that they barely saw each other, despite being in the same house, dorm and classes. He was the kid who sat in the back row, never raising his hand or chatting to other people. The one that went up to his bed the moment dinner was over, writing in his notebook or reading.
It was a miracle that Jasper and Rhys had bonded so quickly, and though he had been pleased with it, he was now worrying that it might be too much. It would be good for Rhys to hear that there were others willing to spend time with him. ”If you like him...why not try and spend some time with him? I mean...you two are friends, it wouldn’t be a big deal.”

Levi figured that simply spending more time with Rhys wouldn't hurt -- he liked being around the other, after all. The Hufflepuff just worried that the Ravenclaw would find out that he liked him and change because of it. Levi had experienced it before -- when someone didn't like him back and wanted to reject him in what they considered the gentle way, they would change and start acting differently toward him. Levi didn't want that to happen with Rhys -- their friendship was more important to him than ever going out was.
"Yeah," he said softly, still worrying about the whole idea, "I should. I just..." Levi paused, collecting his thoughts, and then said, "I don't want him to find out and be creeped out by me or anything though..." He shifted, feeling a bit overheated at the moment with the fire warming him and Kris sitting right against him. Still, Levi didn't really want him to move. In a way, he felt safe with Kris right beside him.

Kris nodded, listening to Levi and guessing how the other felt. He had been in a similar situation, though he knew that in his case, Louis had returned his feelings, so he wasn’t sure what would have happened if things had been different. The thought that their friendship could have changed, perhaps even ended, over something like love made him scared, and he expected that his friend felt much the same way. Squeezing his shoulder gently, the Ravenclaw mulled over this knowledge for a few moments.
”I don’t think Rhys would do that...he’s very careful about who he trusts...He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who gives up on his friends over something like that” Yes, he wanted to say that he was a hundred percent sure the other boy cared for Levi in that way, but he didn’t want to give him false hope. Kristian had made up his mind to talk to his friend, pry a little, see what he thought about the cute little Hufflepuff. But he couldn’t just downright prod him to ask Levi out, not without the Fifth Years consent.
”I would talk to him, if you let me. See if there’s anything there? Only if you want to, of course...” If one of them wasn’t given a reason to muster up the courage to ask the other out, they were just going to stick together as friends...both deserved more, or so the Prefect thought. He wanted them happy, like he was.

♥ ♥ l e v i. there's always some reason to feel not good enough and it's hard at the end of the day. The other's words were comforting, and Levi smiled softly up at his friend. He hoped that Kris was right. Levi didn't want anything negative to happen between him and Rhys.
When Kris offered to talk to the other Ravenclaw about the whole thing, Levi hesitated. He wasn't sure which answer to give. If he told his friend that he didn't mind him talking to Rhys something might actually happen, but at the same time Rhys might reject him and do the whole avoiding thing. Anyway, Levi wasn't completely sure that he even did want anything to happen. "Uhm," He muttered quietly, still mostly lost in his head. What could he loose from it? Kris had already stated that he was pretty sure their friendship wouldn't be affected by this. Rhys would understand, wouldn't he?
Sure, I guess..you can talk to him, if you want." There. It was said. Levi had just given his consent for Kris to play matchmaker and he could only cross his fingers now and hope for the best. The worst thing that could happen was Rhys not being interested and the two of them being a bit awkward around each other for a while, but Levi thought that he needed to take a chance every now and then.
Nevertheless, there were still doubts lurking in his head. Was he really into boys like this? Did he really want to get involved with his friend?

Kristian smiled when Levi gave him his consent, softly squeezing his shoulder. He didn’t want the other boy to be uncomfortable, but the way he saw it...well, the only way the Hufflepuff was going to know was by taking a chance. Luckily the younger male seemed to agree, which made him genuinely happy for Levi. No matter what ended up happening, he’d be at his side, helping him through things. It was a silent promise he made as he looked at the smaller boy with his kind, green eyes.
”This is going to be good, Levi” He said softly, wondering if he didn’t sound patronizing. He hoped he didn’t. The last thing he needed was for the younger boy to think that he was forcing him into something he wasn’t ready for. ”Because you’ll know then...whether or not you really like boys. And if you like him, and he likes you...that still doesn’t mean you have to make something out of it. I mean...it’s not like me and Louis immediately went and had sex. Relationships can be slow.”
He blushed a little when he mentioned sex, wondering whether or not the other would pick up on the fact that they had had sex by now. To be honest, he hadn’t expected himself to have sex as soon as he had, but things had felt so natural between the two of them. Maybe it would be like that for Rhys and Levi as well, but if it wasn’t, well there wasn’t a law against being a couple that just held hands and kissed.

♥ ♥ l e v i. there's always some reason to feel not good enough and it's hard at the end of the day. The Hufflepuff retained his weak smile, listening to the older student talk to him. Kris seemed genuinely interested and happy about this whole situation, and Levi was nothing short of thankful. He appreciated his friend taking the time to come and talk to him about all his relationship-related confusion.
When the other mentioned him and Louis having sex and how Rhys and Levi wouldn't have to rush if they got together, Levi followed suit and blushed as well. Unwanted pictures tickled his imagination, and he once again began messing with his bracelets. He wasn't ready to be thinking about having sex with Rhys -- the entire idea seemed extremely embarrassing for the Hufflepuff. He was definitely not ready for that. He didn't even want to think about taking it slow and eventually having sex with Rhys -- he didn't want to think about sex at all!
And Kris and Louis having sex? That was another image Levi didn't need lurking in his head.
"U -Um yeah," he said rather quickly, "S - slow. Slow is good." His cheeks were still bright as a tomato, fingers furiously pulling at the beads strung around his wrist.

Even though Kris had wanted to talk to Levi about sex – not as in giving him the entire speech on how to be safe, he doubted that would lessen their embarrassment – he decided not to. He knew that Levi cared about him, but he wasn’t sure how the boy would respond if he told him something so personal. At the same time though, he felt like sharing a secret of his own, hoping to make the younger boy a little more comfortable about their shared closeness.
”It is” He said softly, tucking a strand of hair behind his own ear before clamping his teeth down onto his bottom lip. Despite his best intentions he still hadn’t told his boyfriend about his job, and every day things were getting worse. He loved Louis, and there was no reason he should be hiding this from him, even if it made him feel embarrassed and humiliated. He just...didn’t want to ruin things. Telling him about his job meant telling him about Marius, which meant telling him that he’d lied. That he’d betrayed the others trust. And that, more even than the stripping, was unforgivable.
”Levi?” He looked at the fire this time, not really knowing whether or not he was going to say it. He wanted to...then again he didn’t. Then again, Levi had confided in him. Then again, did that mean he had to return the favor? God, it was all so hard.
