Why had he been so stupid? How could he have done such a thing? Adrian looked at himself in his mirror, disgusted with what he saw. How could he have kissed Amelia Pace, his student and a girl who was practically family? He couldn’t believe his resolve and morals could have evaporated with one kiss. Shaking his head, the man turned away and looked around his room, unsure of what to do.
If anyone found out, his job was gone; reputation ruined yet there was that small part of him that kept saying he’d enjoyed it. That he wanted more. Adrian picked up a bundle of socks and threw it across the room cursing. He’d fucked things up royally, and probably confused the hell out of poor Ame.
It was a mistake, he’d have to tell her but the last thing he wanted to do was face her. What if she kissed him again? He couldn’t afford for that to happen but no longer did the man trust his resolve. He was weak, in every sense of the word but what had pushed him to do it? The business with Vivian and Dacian most likely. All those bundled up emotions were bound to come out one day in some shape or form.
Gah! All these conflicting emotions were too confusing, he needed a walk. Going with a thick jumper instead of the trenchcoat, Adrian stalked out into the corridors with a look on his face that said he was in no mood to be spoken to. Through the Great Hall doors, the man stepped out into the white world that was the Hogwarts Grounds. The feeling of the cool, crisp winter air on his face calmed him a little. Although he hated the snow, it was good to get out and about in it. Hopefully out in the grounds there would be no Amelia Pace to run into.

Full moon gone, Amelia had expected herself to get into a better mood. But it just got worse. She’d spent the entire evening reprimanding herself because she’d kissed her teacher. A teacher that knew more about her than anybody else. This was ridiculous. She had spent the majority of her time in the common room or her dormitory hiding from people, occasionally making trips out to the house elves. She contemplated going to meals but that would only mean seeing Connery, something she wasn’t sure she could handle. Or if it was really a good idea. Plus it was slightly embarrassing.
Fed up of the confines of her room she grabbed her house cloak and pulled it on over her jeans, t-shirt and fluffy jumper. Yanking open her trunk she rummaged for her hat. Pulling her hair back behind her shoulders, pulling her hat over the top of her head, pulling her fringe out and making sure her ears were fully covered. Sighing she gave up looking for her gloves and headed out into the common room to go out into the winter air.
The south of England rarely had snow these days, so when it did snow in the school she liked to spend time sat in the ground watching it. Having spent the rest of her time inside, she felt it time to finally venture outside.
Amelia found herself sitting on one of the benches on the lawn. Looking over towards the school, watching the snow fall over it. I was already covered, it looked so majestic, but the snow kept coming making the scene more mesmerising. Her thoughts kept moving back to that of Connery and the last full moon. Like the night after I she found herself chewing on the inside of her lip.
If anybody found out, he was ruined, her relationship with James was so far past over she’d be lucky to have any friends left. They’d all think her a liar and a cheat. Which, in a way, she was. A small part of her wondered, if the kiss had been that nice, what was more like? A thought she tried to chase out of her head in a second, but one that was persistent and kept coming back.
Amelia’s attention was drawn to a moving figure. Male. Tall. Brown haired. Wearing a trench coat. ”Fuck,” she groaned to herself. Maybe if she hadn’t thought about I he wouldn’t have appeared and she willed him away, but he kept coming forwards. Deliberately towards her or not.
They needed to talk. Amelia knew that. But she was rather enjoying being a coward and not having to deal with it. Secretly wishing that not dealing with it would make it not have happened, or fine and not likely to cause a ruckus of any sort.
She needed to be a bigger person. Breathing out a breath she didn’t know she had been holding she stood up and slowly made her way towards him. If he wanted to by-pass her, he easily could, and if she chickened out at the last second, she could just keep walking by.
