Ash gave him a smile that turned into a soft chuckle when the Ravenclaw phrased how they had to walk past the wall three times to make the room appear. He wondered if it would look as ridiculous as it sounded, turning his wheelchair over and over just to get this Come and Go Room to materialize. Also, what would happen if they both thought up something completely different? Say, Jake would ask for a dance club to appear while Ash just wanted something quiet? Would the room turn into a little of both or say screw it, you can go and find another place to entertain you?
Those thoughts were floating around in his brain as he took the brakes off the wheelchair, moving past the wall for the first time, trying to focus on what he really needed...a nice, soft bed. Some medication. Candle light, because it was softer and less intrusive. The blonde barely realized that it could look extremely romantic rather than soothing, mentally adding some pajama’s to the bed so he wouldn’t have to stay clothed if they ended up spending the night here. Since it was nearing curfew, it was a good possibility. Realizing that they would both need somewhere to sleep, he tried envisioning a second bed as he turned his wheelchair around for the final time. Closing his eyes for a moment, he rubbed at his forehead. ”Did it work?”

"I know it sounds weird.. but it works" he said smiling back at Ash. He hoped it worked. Walking back and forth with Ash, Jake thought about a room where they could relax and possibly stay the night in just incase. Once they walked back the third time and Ash asked if it worked, Jake was starting to get disappointed when the wall slowly started to carve a door into the stone.
"Something did" he said grinning a little and he moved over to stand in front of the wooded door that had appeared. Grabbing the handle, he pushed the door open, looking around at the room that materialized. He stared for a moment before trying not to blush "Well.. this is interesting" he murmured since there was a large four-post bed against one wall in front of a fireplace, a carafe of water on one of the bed side tables along with another smaller bottle.
In front of the fireplace there were medium and large cushions where one or two could lounge comfortably and the room was bathed in most likely darker colors but Jake couldn't tell from the candle and firelight that was the rooms only light source. Jake moved out of the way to let Ash see what the room had materialized as.

Interesting was the right word indeed. Ashley couldn’t hold back a small, shy chuckle as he saw the bed. He hadn’t exactly envisioned one bed showing up, though if he was truly selfish he couldn’t say he minded. It’d be nice to spend the night with someone else, as long as he didn’t get his usual nightmares, that was. Even though he had a feeling Jake would understand, he still didn’t look forward to waking up screaming. Hopefully the medicin that he had spotted would at least numb him down enough to sleep dreamlessly.
Wheeling himself into the room, he headed straight for the jug of water, taking a few sips from it before washing down the Muggle medicin that had shown up. When he had taken the tablets, he put the small bottle back on the bedside table, looking at the room properly. ”That bed looks so comfy...do you mind if I lie down for a little while?” Ash would need some help of course, but he wouldn’t ask for Jake to stay on the bed in case it made the brunette uncomfortable. ”I’m still kinda sore from earlier, and that bed looks like heaven right now.” He explained quietly, a laugh in his voice so it wouldn’t sound all so bad. The last thing he wanted was for the older male to worry over him.

Jake followed Ash into the room, letting the door shut with a soft click behind him and he looked around at the floating candles, pulling off his school robe to just leave his uniform on. He folded it up a little and set it on the other side table next to the bed. The side that would probably end up being his if they slept in that bed. "Yeah, course you can lay down" Jake said smiling a little over at Ash, noticing the medicine bottle. "Did your head hurt? Why didn't you say something earlier?" he asked with a little concern in his voice as he walked around the bed to help Ash into the bed.
It was a little warm in the room and Jake had yet to notice the pajamas that were neatly folded on a chair nearby. "I've only been in here a couple of times before and it was way different than what it looks like now" he murmured, laughing softly. The last time it had been a smaller room with a soothing tune playing repeatedly and a bed like the one at home to curl up in after his father had gone off on him about him not wanting to join the army. The melody playing was a lullaby that Jake's mother had used to sing to him, 'Catch a Falling Star And Put It In Your Pocket.'

"Did your head hurt? Why didn't you say something earlier?"
Ash smiled at him gratefully as Jake helped him to the bed, pulling the pillow so it was comfortably underneath his head. One arm was slung over his eyes for a moment as he heard the question, shooting him a somewhat guilty look. ”I didn’t want you to worry...or make you feel like I didn’t want to hang out.” Now that he heard his own words, it sounded kind of stupid and Ashley felt somewhat embarrassed over it.
”What did it look like? When you were here?” He didn’t mean to be so nosy, but the older boy had brought up the subject and he was genuinely curious what need Jake could have for the room. If this Room could really give the caller whatever it needed, would it make his parents reappear? If just for a little while? It was probably a good thing that the blonde didn’t know about the Mirror of Erised or he would definitely have gone looking for it. If he could just see them again..talk to them for a little while...really hear that they loved him and were proud of him, instead of just thinking the words.

Jake sighed a little when Ash explained that he hadn't wanted to worry he just looked at him "Wish you would have told me.. but that doesn't matter now I guess since you've got something to hopefully help with it" he said, glancing at the little bottle of pills on the table next to the bed. Jake generally would just crawl over a bed to his desired spot, but with this he'd have to crawl over Ash and at the moment he didn't want to jostle the blond. Heading back to his side, he kicked his shoes off before sitting down on the bed, propping a couple of pillows up against the headboard behind his back.
”What did it look like? When you were here?”
He looked over at Ash when he asked that, chewing on his lip for a moment and he pulled his legs up to his chest, looping his arms around his knees. "It was smaller.. looked sort of like my room back home and there was a song playing." he paused for a moment, looking into the fire as he spoke. "My father had sent me some forms to fill out and return to him. Forms of my enlistment into the army as soon as I graduated here.." his voice was quiet as he went on, not really liking to think of that memory but in a way it was a good one since he finally was able to tell his father 'No'. "I sent them back blank and told him I wouldn't do it, so he sent a howler here screaming at me. Luckily I had received it in my bedroom so no one but my roommates heard it" he gulped quietly.
"I came by here thinking about wanting to talk to my mother or see her.. she didn't ignore me like my father did when he and I had words. Mum didn't appear in here, but her voice and a song she'd sing did." he finished, sighing a little sadly and wanting to hear that song again since he'd just brought up the guilty feelings he had with not signing the forms and hurt from getting the nasty howler.

Ashley listened to him in silence, on his back on the bed with his neck twisted so he could look at him. His headache was still there but he knew it would dim soon, so he smiled at Jake as he saw the boy growing sadder as he got into the story. He hadn’t wanted to upset the other, it was obvious in the way he reached out and gently squeezed his arm. The blonde would sing the song if he knew the older one wanted to hear it, he would do just about anything to turn that frown upside down again.
”That was a really brave thing to do, Jake” Ash told him quietly, looking at him with warm brown eyes. He wasn’t sure if he could’ve stood up to his parents like that, especially if he was adopted. It shouldn’t matter, but to a lot of kids it did. He’d had a friend back home who was adopted and often fretted if the things he did could get him in enough trouble for his parents to stop wanting him. ”For what it’s worth, I’m proud of you.” He had always been the kind of boy that would compliment his friends, wanting them to know just how special they were. With Jake, that was only increased by his growing crush.

Jake ran his fingers through his hair, rubbing the back of his head after a moment, looking over at Ash when he felt his hand. Giving him a little smile in return he leaned his head on the arm that was still around his knees. "Guess it was.." he murmured, not too convinced it was the right thing. He was dreading Christmas break since his father expected him home to discuss things but Jake was inclined to stay and hide at Hogwarts.
"Thanks.. it's worth more than you think" he replied, giving the blond a half smile glad that he hadn't thought it was a stupid thing to do. Being as independent as he could back home, even if his adopted father wanted him out of his house Jake wouldn't have to fret on where he'd go. He was of age in the wizarding world so he'd just go there. After a few more moments of moping, Jake lifted his head and leaned back against the pillows letting out a slow breath. He had turned his gaze back to the fire, wanting to make those upsetting memories go away since he didn't need to bring Ash's mood down too when he was supposed to be making sure he was okay, at least that was his priority in the Ravenclaw's mind.

Ash nodded when Jake said he supposed it had been brave, though the brunette didn’t sound convinced. He wanted to say more on the matter, then reconsidered, thinking that tonight was not the night to discuss heavy topics. They had been out to eat, which had been wonderful, and their time together was precious, so he wasn’t going to ruin it and pull the older male into a difficult discussion. Instead he just smiled a little, sliding his hand down the others arm, up until his elbow, before dropping it back to the bed.
”Good” He answered sleepily, moving slightly so that his chest was cuddled to the bed, his legs in a little awkward position but he was too tired to even bother switching around. His headache was starting to fade, body suddenly protesting against the way it had been treated earlier this evening. Yawning, Ash settled onto the bed, barely aware of the fact that he was sharing it with Jake and what falling asleep together might do for their friendship, especially if he had one of his nightmares.
It was crazy, how sleep had suddenly started to settle around him, the blonde barely able to keep his eyes open as he stifled another yawn, cuddling into his pillow after he gave in and closed his eyes. His lips were parted to say something, but nothing more than ”I’m so sleepy” came out, and even that was a mumble. After that, he was out cold.

Jake was quiet while Ash started to shift around, noticing then how tired he looked. Jake opened his mouth to ask if he wanted to be covered up but the words didn't come out while he watched Ash snuggle up to his pillow. He smiled slightly when Ash mumbled about being sleepy then was still. It took his brain a few seconds to catch up then Jake started to freak. Ash had been kicked in the head.. had a headache.. and was suddenly really tired. Not good.
Jake scooted over closer to Ash and started shaking his shoulder "Hey, Ash. Wake up..." he said his name a few more times, getting louder each time and sounding a bit distressed. A little relieved noise came out of the back of his throat when Ash moved and he saw those brown eyes open. "Hey...look..you can't fall asleep" he stated bluntly, blue eyes looking into the dark brown ones.
Not wanting Ash to think he was crazy he went on, "You might have a concussion or something, and falling asleep is the last thing you want to do. Because then you might not wake up.." ..and Jake would be severely upset.
