Pets:
Calico
Calico is an aptly named calico kitten, which was bought for Casey just before he left for his first year at Hogwarts. He’s decided she was probably bread magically to remain young, as she’s hardly changed in the nearly 5 years he’s had her - she’s still the slightly crazed, enegetic kitten she always was. Some of her hobbies are breaking into the Owlery and terrorising the birds, leaving muddy paw prints all over his schoolwork and chasing her own tail.

Dress Style:
Casey’s dress sense is pretty crazy, and quite effeminate. He loves hairclips and bright colour, and will generally be seen wearing both. He hates to looks boring, and is always customising his own clothes to make them unique and interesting. He’s been told off several time for the additions he’s made to his robes, such as cutting along the shoulder seams and sewing bright orange fabric underneath and tailoring the waist.
Specifics:
Casey’s hair and dress sense tends to set him out from the crowd, as well as his exuberant personality. He doesn’t have very many scars, and none of note, as he spent most of his childhood inside rather than up trees. He has quite a few moles on his body, including a group of 5 of them on lis left collarbone which he thinks look especially pretty
In Front Of Friends
Sexual Orientation:
Pansexual
Self Image:
When Casey takes a good hard look at himself, he generally likes what he sees. He thinks he had a pretty good canvas to work with - by no means does he think he’s utterly stunning, but fairly hansom covers it - but the things he likes most about himself are his customisations, like his hair, which he magically straightens every day. He knows he’s not the best at his school work, but the way he sees it, everyone has their different talents, and his just aren’t academic.
To the Outward Eye:
Casey is extremely outgoing and loud, so the first thing people will probably notice is his voice, several minutes before they actually see him. He has an increadably bubbly personality, which can be a little overbearing and intimidating, but he’s always friendly and welcoming, so people don’t generally remain afraid of him for too long
Social Status:
Casey is a bit of a social butterfly, and has a large group of friends. He likes hanging out with anyone, just being around people is enough to make him happy. The majority of his friends are girls, as he just seems to get on better with them and boys seem a little afraid of him.

Patronus:
Casey’s patronus is a fledgling magpie, representative of his eye for colour and detail, and yes, sometimes shiny things. It’s probably a younger version of the fully grown bird as he tends to coo over cute fluffy things, so the idea of one being there whilst he battles a dementor would rationalise the situation for him and give him strength.
Boggart:
Casey’s boggart is everyone he knows and cares about lying dead on the floor. His family and friends are the most important thing in his life, and he doesn’t think he‘d be able to cope without them.

Report:
Casey’s teachers all think he needs to buck up his ideas. He tends to spend most of class chatting rather than actually doing any work, and if ever asked a question he tends to stare blankly and ask it to be repeated, then still get the answer wrong.
Personal Statement:
Casey’s favourite subject is care of magical creatures. Of course, not all the creatures they study are cute things he can stroke and coo over, but he does sometimes get design ideas from them. He tends to fall asleep in Astronomy so hasn’t actually had the chance to form an opinion on it. Charms is the only subject he’s really any good at, but the teacher is very strict about talking.
History:
Casey was born into a very large muggle family, the youngest of 4 siblings and a multitude of cousins. His brothers and sisters were all nearly 10 years his senior, and although his cousin Charlie was only one year older than him, Casey tended to be the one who was spoiled by all the relatives. However, living in a big family meant a lot of work to do, and seeing as all his siblings were a lot older, as soon as they’d grown up and moved out, it was up to Casey to do a lot of the household chores, which was probably good for him, as it stopped him becoming a spoiled brat.
The entire Murphett household was very liberal. His older brother Kerry and his aunt Joan were gay, and neither of his parents had any qualms or prejudices that Casey ever noticed. Being part of such a large family, he was often passed around all the relatives for babysitting duty, and ended up spending a lot of time with his Aunt Joan and her partner Elle, who had no children of their own, so lavished their attention upon him. Because of this, Casey grew up seeing homosexuality as a perfectly normal thing, not even understanding how people didn’t like or approve of it. When his father tried explaining this by saying that not everyone liked marmite, Casey replied that love was nothing like marmite, a phrase which he has stuck by and, when he was older, designed a t-shirt and shoulder bag around.
The person Casey has always been closest to in his family is his sister Georgie, who was the one to get him into fashion in the first place. When he was younger he was always pestering her to play dressing up with him, which most of the time she obliged to. At 16 she went on to become a hairdresser and beauty technician, and two years later she moved out, leaving Casey as they last of the children in the household, and even though the family were almost always popping round, Casey began to feel lonely. Even at age 7 he was a social butterfly, so had friends over almost the entire time, holding the biggest birthday parties for miles around with water fights in the garden, curtsy of the hot July sunshine.
However, Casey found there were places where he simply didn’t fit. His cousins from his Aunt Olivia were all very boisterous boys, going out to play football at family gatherings whilst the adults stayed inside. But Casey didn’t like football, and preferred to be inside talking to the grownups and his female cousins. That was probably where he got his taste for gossips and women’s magazines, being constantly surrounded by female relatives.
And the feminine presence in his life didn’t end there. Most of Casey’s friends were girls, and he was much happier playing with barbies and braiding their hair than he ever had been doing any of the sporty, robot-orientated things his male classmates did. Strangely enough, the first time his magic manifested was under happy circumstances, at least to start with, when he was giving his friend Izzie fishtail plats on a warm day near the end of term, only a week or so before his birthday. He was so utterly contented and relaxed, chatting to Izzie about how nice their teacher was being, that he shut his eyes for a moment, a smile on his face, and when he opened them again, the hair in his hands that had once been blond was now a bright turquoise. The first thing Casey did was notice how well it went with her maroon gingham summer dress. The second thing he did was scream.
After having to see the headmaster, and being questioned scrupulously by him, several teachers, his parents and Izzie’s as well, he was sent to have a talk with his Aunt Joan, who told him that he was, in all probability, a wizard. He’d laughed at first, and thought this was some joke his family was playing on him, what with him about to start secondary school, but then Joan had shown him her wand, and levitated his tuna sandwiches right off the plate. Casey had searched thoroughly for fishing wire, but then had not concede defeat when she made them bounce about in time to the theme tune of The Arches, which was drifting through from the living room, then pelted them at his face. When they’d both finished laughing, Casey was full of questions - How did magic work? Why were some people born magical and some not? Were is parents magical? Why not? Why was he? What was going to happen next? Would Izzie’s hair always be blue, because it really suited her.
Some questions his aunt was able to answer, some she wasn’t, but a few weeks later Casey got his Hogwarts letter, and he knew things would be clearer soon. It was Joan who took him on his first trip to Diagon Ally, along with sister Georgie, who refused to be left out. Casey was awestruck. Looking back, he thinks the moment he stepped though that gateway was the moment he fell in love with the wizarding world. Everything was so bright, and exciting and magical. Normally he’d hated school shopping and the dull clothes and even duller books he’d had to buy, but this year, everything was different. Going into Madam Malkin’s was the best, looking at the reams and reams of magical fabric she had on offer, and swearing to himself that one day he’d come back and buy it all. It was Georgie who bought him Calico as a leaving present, and he almost burst into tears on the spot, wondering how he’d cope without his big sister for weeks on end.
Actually going to Hogwarts was perhaps even more exciting than Diagon Ally had been, knowing that all the people around him as he stood on the station platform were going to be classmates of his. He made friends quickly, more with the female population than the male one, and took to his new school like a duck to water. The only downside to going to Hogwarts was being so far away from his family for so long, but he writes to them often, and they’ve got as used to owls landing on the breakfast table as he has.

Positive Traits:
- Enthusiastic - Casey somehow finds a way to get excited about almost anything, and if he’s enjoying something, he’ll throw himself into it with complete abandon. Unfortunately, this enthusiasm doesn’t extend to his subjects.
- Positive - Casey has a hard time seeing the downside to anything and will generally focus on all the good points of a situation, a trait which other people find both cheering and irritating, sometimes at the same time.
- Self Confident - Casey is totally confidant in who he is, and not afraid to show other people that, which is another trait which can have downsides. People can sometimes find him to be a little too much.
- Friendly - Even though sometimes it can be a little frightening for more timid people, Casey is always really friendly and welcoming to everyone he meets. From his point of view, strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet.
- Accepting - It doesn’t matter what a person is like, Casey will always accept them for who they are. Of course, things like being a bully he doesn’t agree with, but he tries to see the good in that person.
- Versatile - If Casey takes a knock, he tends to spring right back up. Some things hurt more than others, but for the most part, he doesn’t let what other people think bother him.
Negative Traits:
- Chatterbox - There is barely a moment when Casey doesn’t stop talking, be it in around friends, in class, or in his sleep. He’s fairly easy to talk to, but first off you have to get a word in edgeways, and his teachers don’t seem to care for this particular trait of his.
- Gossip - Casey always hast to know exactly what’s going on in other peoples lives, either by being directly nosey or finding out from other people, but he sees a clear distinction between gossiping and bitchiness, and when he gossips he’s never malicious.
- Bitchy - On the flipside, Casey can be a complete bitch when he wants to, although he has a strange moral idea of it. The way he sees it, if he vents about a person when he’s not around them, when he is around them he won’t explode at them.
- Melodramatic - Even though Casey deals surprisingly well with big events, little things like getting a detention will send him into fits of melodrama. He wont care that mucha bout them for long, and they’ll probably be forgotten entirely by the next day, but when they do happen, he’s completely over the top about it.
- Oblivious - Sometimes Casey can be so self-involved that he’s oblivious to the feelings of the other people around him. He might not notice that someone is feeling down, or accidentally insult them, or a number of other things he’s have noticed if he was paying attention.
- Lazy - Casey quite frequently can‘t be bothered to do the thinks he really should, mainly his school work. Sleeping in is perhaps his favourite part of the weekend.
Interests:
- Fashion and design
- Colour combinations
- Textures
Likes:
- Designing things - It’s what he wants to do with his life
- Bright colours - Because dull colours are a sign of dull people
- Pretty things - He collects them
- Lay-ins - The best part of the weekend for someone as lazy as Casey
- Dressing up - He likes to feel he dresses up every day, but its even better when there’s a special occasion to
- Drama - He’s such a dramatic person, it just comes naturally to him
- The magical world - its existence still fascinates him, even nearly 5 years after finding out about it
- Trips to Hogsmeade - The shops there are more exciting than any of the muggle ones he’s been to before
- People - Casey is happiest when he’s surrounded by friends and family, or even people he doenst know yet
- Small animals - They’re cute!
- Witch Weekly - There are some surprisingly interesting articles in it, although the fashion section leaves a lot to be desired
Dislikes:
- Drab colours - They’re just so boring
- Mean people - No one has the right to be horrid to other people
- Being ignored - He want’s people to notice him, damnit!
- Being alone - When you’re used to being in a big crowd, loneliness can be terrifying
- When other people are sad - It makes him feel sad, too
- Being away from his family - Growing up round so many people, its hard to be separated from them
