the factfile
Height: 5’5”
Build: Very slim, but mildly curvy.
Wand: nil. Born a muggle.
Patronus: Again: no wand no patronus.
Boggart: The shape of the vampire responsible for her current position. He killed both her parents, so Sephora hates and fears him with equal measure.
Dementor: The first night she lost control over her bloodlust. She’d gone out for a lwak after feeling irrationally angry all day and ended up savaging one of her school’s science teachers who got too close. Distraught, she threw his body into the ocean where it was found three days later. His death was blamed on a shark attack.
Amortentia: Blood Silas’s blood: nothing else compares to it (apparently is AB+), new shoes, her favourite wine Sangre Vino
Nicknames: Seph
Clothing Style: Black and classy. She liked to show off what she’s got, and hates dressing too casual. Has a thing for very high heels, and her favourite non-colour is black, although she quite likes greys and red too. Anything that’ll make her look fashionable and hot at the same time basically.
[/ul]the biography
Siblings: nil.
Relatives: nil.
Other Important Figures: nil.
Pets: Pets and Seph don’t get along well. She killed her goldfish by accident when she was five and has never gone back there.
Pensieve: Sephora hasn’t had a very nice life. Before she was even born, her mother and father’s house was attacked by a seriously hungry, seriously angry vampire. The beast was mad, insane and completely out of his mind. He proceeded to kill her father but decided that he liked her mother and bit her to change her.
Sephora’s mother was heavily pregnant at the time, and died during childbirth after not making the change to a vampire, for her body had completely rejected the foreign blood. Sephora’s aunt took her in and never told her how her mother and father had really been killed; saying that they had been killed in a car accident. Who would believe that their parents had been killed by a vampire anyway?
But as the years went by; and Sephora entered her teens, it became apparent that she had not been unaffected by her mother’s bite. She grew irrationally angry; lashing out at people with very little provocation, and started eating only meat, often raw. And then her teeth started growing. Her aunt was terrified, but she couldn’t bear to abandon what had become like her daughter. A wizarding family lived next door, and asked to see Sephora several times, but each time her aunt told them that she was out. Eventually, they had to move away from Australia and back to England, to avoid being discovered.
Sephora had calmed down by this point, but her moods were far darker and she had no friends. She spent most of her time in her room; but occasionally when her aunt knocked, there was no answer, but she couldn’t be sure if Sephora was asleep or wasn’t actually in her room anymore, since she always locked her door from the inside. One day, Sephora refused to come out of her room on so many occasions and when he aunt was banging and yelling and screaming. Finally Sephora’s aunt broke down the door with a baseball bat only to find that Sephora had vanished without any warning and without leaving a note. Her aunt has not seen Sephora since.
Sephora actually integrated herself with the wizarding world after that, since it made her ‘unusual’ behaviors harder to pick up. Always staying on the fringes of society, she one day accidentally bumped into her uncle (on her father's side). He told her about what really happened to her parents, since he thought that she knew.
Her mother and father had lived together in a little cottage together and the male vampire, whose name was unknown, worked with her mother. He had been admiring her from a far when she got married to Sephora's father. When Sephora's parents revealed that they were going to have a child, the male vampire hunted them down in the dead of night and killed Sephora's father in cold blood, intending to take her mother for himself, since he liked her blood and her body. But something went wrong during the change, and deciding that she was a lost cause, the vampire left Sephora's mother to bleed out and die; after going into premature labour with her. Sephora was found by the police soon after and was given to her aunt to raise.
She spent her years after maturing into an adult living off her parent’s inheritance, and basically roaming the world but receiving no joy from the venture.
[/ul] the inner workings
Dislikes: boring blood, slow people, annoying people, people in general, being told off, looking stupid, being out of the loop, being attacked / eaten / killed, repeating herself, losing, sunlight, tans, working, leering men
Quirks and Habits: her smiling at you is usually not a good sign, bares her fangs at people to scare them off if she feels threatened, likes playing with her food, very very vain
Mirror of Erised: to be happy; with whatever that entails. But because Seph’s life is pretty mucked up, this is unlikely to happen in the near future… or even in the distant future.
In Depth Personality:
[li] Cautious - she's usually careful about what she's walking into and thinks things through first
[/li][li] Competitive - there's a real competitive streak hidden somewhere in Seph's personality, and she always wants to get things right and win
[/li][li] Cowardly - she’s going to leg it if the situation’s getting out of hand
[/li][li] Decisive - it doesn't take her long to make her mind up about things.
[/li][li] Determined - Sephora doesn’t often give up on her tasks and stays true to them until it looks like she might be in serious danger, then flees.
[/li][li] Exploitive / Manipulative - her motives are rarely out of the kindness of her heart, and almost always will benefit her
[/li][li] Inexperienced - especially to the wizarding world, she’s guessing her way through it as best she can
[/li][li] Jealous - when things don't go her way. She can get very protective of things she considers 'hers'. Don't touch her shoes... if you want to live.
[/li][li] Opportunistic - typical predator, she'll take an easy option or chance if it presents itself. She'll also use it to get what she wants with very little thought of the consequences.
[/li][li] Perpetually Grumpy - its more unusual to see a smile on her face than a frown.
[/li][li] Sadistic - has a bit of a thing for causing pain to others. Especially when she's in a bad mood.
[/li][li] Self-centered - she values herself and her own wellbeing about yours, so tough.
[/li][li] Self-motivated - something doesn't benefit her? Don't bother.
[/li][li] Spiteful - you smite her and don’t redeem yourself? You’re screwed.
[/li][li] Stubborn - can be very difficult to reason with when she wants
[/li][li] Unstable - she has a really bad temper which can change like the weather
[/li][li] Vengeful - she can hold a grudge like nothing else, but will drop it faster than you can say AB+ so long as she feels things are even
[/li][li] Vicious - given the right provocation, you really do not want to be around her when she’s in a bad mood

Silas made several gargling choking noises and gave a few coughs, but otherwise seemed unharmed. She breathed a sigh of relief - breaking Silas’s ribs may have put a dampener on the evening. She gave an awkward cough, groping for a way to change the subject. She hadn’t meant to give him the world’s biggest bear hug - it just kind of… happened.
Sephora’s expression dropped suddenly as soon as it appeared Silas’s sense of humour certainly hadn’t been harmed by her anyway. She opened her mouth indignantly to defend her honour - however no intelligent response came to mind. He was like… old, wasn’t he? Was he really… cocky enough to think that she…? Sephora was just about ready to scream in frustration - this was entirely unfair.
Making an effort to regain composure, she took several deep breaths and dug her nails into her palm. Maybe if they got back in time she could go and terrify some dinner. Or maybe just terrify someone for the fun of it. She really needed to let off all of this emotional steam. She was going to go prematurely grey… well figuratively.
She turned her attention back to the cathedral in front of them - so breaking and entering was the plan. She didn’t mind in the slightest, she’d never been a church person anyway. She blinked in surprise as Silas’s wand lit up, but it didn’t really bother her so much. It was just kind of distracting, like someone flashing a mirror in your eyes on a bright day.
Following Silas forward, she suddenly came alert for security systems. She hadn’t needed to negotiate them really in the magical world, not human ones anyway. But now that he reminded her, it seemed to make sense that there would be. Fortunately, she did actually have experience with them and how to avoid them if necessary.
Bright light flooded the area and she was blinded by it - having her eyes adjusted to the near darkness that the cemetery had been smothered in. She cupped a hand over her eyes, shielding them, while trying to find the source of the goddamn thing but failing badly. She hoped that it wasn’t a security guard or something. She had no idea whether Silas had ditched her and run if it was since she couldn’t exactly see anything. Fortunately, the cursed thing went out with a shattering of glass after Silas hit it with some spell.
“Ok,” she agreed - maybe a little too eagerly, stalking off carefully behind the gothic looking building. For the second time that night, the feeling for the second time that evening like a spy or secret agent. Secret words, breaking and entering… she was wearing all dark clothing. She had to resist the temptation to commando roll across any patches of light. That would just be childish.
Ducking her head around the side of the building, she saw no other movement, so edged her body around slowly and carefully - wary for security cameras or the like. Taking another cautious step, she scanned the walls for any more of those nasty sensor lights - spotting one a little too late. She’d been starting right at it, and her poor eyes were not appreciating the overly bright light.
Hissing in breath she bragged a handful of stones from a garden bed and hurled one up in the direction of the offending light, only to fall far short. Ok, so she needed more power and more height. Her second throw was a little too powerful - smashing a hole in some saint’s face. Sephora would have laughed in other situations, but this only induced an annoyed grimace. It wasn’t until her fifth attempt that she finally hit her target, and the satisfying shattering of glass actually had her sticking her tongue out in triumph. Her aim was still probably being impaired by all that damn good wine she’d had earlier.
Stuff this - she was going to find Silas and his way in. Blinding lights and a little too much alcohol earlier on were impairing her judgement she decided, and besides, Silas had his wand which was a lot more reliable than her dubious aim was at the moment. Jogging around to the front of the building - this time keeping out of the way of any pesky lights, she spotted him near what she assumed was the front door. Oh well - there was nothing wrong with using the main entrance.
She’d seen a side door as she passed, but hadn’t even tried to open it. She knew well enough that she would need Silas’s magical expertise to prevent the law descending because she set the alarm system off.
