Grey
Build:
Tall, muscular
Skin Tone:
Pale and freckly.
Height:

Dress Style:
Oscar wears whatever is comfortable and practical for his day's activity - be it work or anything else. None of his clothes stand out, they are just bog standard, ceapy clothes built to last.
Specifics:
The thing that catches people's attention about Oscar is either his curly hair. Without being tamed, it is one step away from being a fuzzy afro. Due to this, Oscar usually tried to straighten his hair, to stop him from standing out. He doesn't want to stand out. He also often wears a sullen look which deters people from giving him attention.
In Front Of Friends
Sexual Orientation:
Asexual/undecided - he hasn't really had chance to experience how he feels.
Self Image:
Oscar has a low self image. He thinks of himself as a piece of scenery, just something in the background. He would think of himself as a ghost, but people seem to like those. He is very much uncomfortable in his own skin, like he's missing something, which he believes could be his personality.
To the Outward Eye:
To the outward eye, Oscar is just one of those people you pass and rarely notice. He's always there, in the background but more of a perifery character.
Social Status:
Oscar is a textbook outcast. Being a Squib in a family of wizards, that instantly put him in the shadows in his family - missing out on all the wizarding side of his family's life. But even in mainstream school he didn't seem to fit in, because he was aware of this other world. So now he's a cleaner's protege, how much more outcast can you get?
Positive Traits:
Since he has nothing else, Oscar has dedicated himself to his work. He is focussed on it, seen as how it takes his mind off other things. He's a hard worker and will do just about anything. He's willing to learn new skills and because he's quiet and listens, he picks them up fair quickly. From his job, Oscar has found he knows something about just about everyone. People forget he's around and just continue talking as if he wasn't there (he's learned many a thing he shouldn't because of this) and he picks up on everything. And, in the very rare occasion, if someone talks to him, they find (once over initial shock) Oscar is a very friendly young man.
Negative Traits:
Oscar's main fall-down is he's very negative - about himself mostly, but sometimes it can turn on the rest of the world. He feels like a failure because he doesn't have magic, and believes his life will never be as good as his siblings because of this. He doesn't see opportunity, just negativity and closed doors. He feel's he's hit a dead-end all round, with no way out. He spends most his days feeling depressed and like he's half a person.
Interests:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Patronus:
Doesn't have one! (Though it'd probably be a snail if he had one XD)
Boggart:
His father giving him a wand, but then taking it away. Just the sight of his father with a wand makes Oscar nervous, because it reminds him of the day when his father tried to give him his first wand, only to find his son possessed no magic. The anger and disappointment Oscar saw that day still cuts him deep and strikes fear into his heart whenever he sees it.
World Passing By
Subjects:
None. Though he reads about whatever subject he can get a book on.
Report:
That he's the smelly emo cleaner?
Personal Statement:
Oscar takes none of the Hogwarts subjects, but wishes he could. They all seem so interesting.
Past Grades:
10 C's at GCSEs
History:
Oscar was brought up in a wizarding family, under the firm belief that - like his ma, pa and sibling - he was going to be a wizard and attend Hogwarts. He'd been looking forwards to going too. He loved everything about the Wizarding World, it was all so amazing and he, one day, wanted to be able to achieve just a small slice of some of the greatness he saw. But sadly, he never showed any magical talent. All of his siblings accidently set stuff on fire, or levitated things from a very young age.
Things wouldn't have been so bad if Oscar's pa, Gray, hadn't have been in denial about his son's magical ability. It was right until he got to Hogwarts age when Oscar started to doubt himself. Unlike his brother before him, Oscar didn't recieve a letter from Professor MacGonagall accepting him into Hogwarts. His father lied and said he'd kept hold of it. They went out and bought everything, saving the wand until last. But even all that had felt wrong. The owl hated him, the books looked alien and worst of all, he felt alien.
His father insisted on picking out the wand for his son, despite the keeper trying to tell him it wouldn't work. Gray Peterson was under the firm belief that his son was a later bloomer, even at this point. But when Oscar held the wand he felt nothing. Wand after wand after wand and he still felt nothing. The shopkeeper couldn't keep them in any longer, and had to force Gray to come to the light. When they finally gave up and accepted Oscar wasn't magical the cold feeling from his father began.
As soon as they were outside of the wand shop his father exploded, blaming everything on Oscar. He even had to pay for what they couldn't return because it was Oscar's fault for not pointing out earlier that he was a squib. Even though Oscar tried to explain that it was just as much of a surprise to him as it was to his pa, Gray was having none of it. Oscar ended a marvellous day feeling shut out and alone.
He was sent to a boarding school, but not a particularly respected one. Anything would do for the squib. That's what he became in his household - The Squib. Oscar felt like he wasn't good enough and was forvere trying to prove he was good enough for this wonderful Wizarding World. He left boarding school after his GCSEs, which he barely passed, and tried to become a teaboy in the Ministry or any other important Wizarding company. Nowhere would have him, apart from Hogwarts.
He's been there for about a year, working silently in the background - cleaning away everyone else's mess. He is Scriven's protege and does his job well. In his spare time he tries to learn as much about the Wizarding World as he can, but finds it hard when he feels like the whole world is staring at him.

Positive Traits:
- Dedicated worker
- Quick learner
- Good listener
- Observant
- Fairly friendly
Since he has nothing else, Oscar has dedicated himself to his work. He is focussed on it, seen as how it takes his mind off other things. He's a hard worker and will do just about anything. And, in the very rare occasion, if someone talks to him, they find (once over initial shock) Oscar is a very friendly young man.
Negative Traits:
- Self-loathing
- Has a squib-complex (Wonders why his whole family is magical when he's not, etc)
- Has resigned to a himself to an unfulfilled life, aged 20
- Easily depressed
- He's "incomplete"
Oscar's main fall-down is he's very negative - about himself mostly, but sometimes it can turn on the rest of the world. He feels like a failure because he doesn't have magic, and believes his life will never be as good as his siblings because of this. He doesn't see opportunity, just negativity and closed doors. He feel's he's hit a dead-end all round, with no way out. He spends most his days feeling depressed and like he's half a person.
Interests:
- Other people's lives - they are so much better than his own.
- His work - there is more to it than picking up litter and looking grotty, there are so many secrets and treasures unknown to the untrained eye.
- The Wizarding World - it's far more interesting than the one he his bound to.
Likes:
- Reading - it's quiet, nothing flashy and both worlds do it. Plus he can read books about wizards and witches
- Listening to music - it can enhance a mood or remove an unwanted mood. And there's the "crosses both worlds" aspect too.
- Listening to the world - it amazes him how people react in different circumstances and situations.
- Figuring out how people tick - people fascinate him in general, and Oscar feels if he finds out how others are more interesting, then maybe he'd be more interesting.
- Writing - it's a way of expressing yourself and Oscar takes full advantage of this, seen as how he's a silnt sufferer. No one has ever seen his work, as far as he knows.
Dislikes:
- His family - he always felt belittled by them and not good enough to be a member of the family. Their attitude to his squib-ness doesn't help much either.
- Being looked down on, because he's a squib - just because he's not a wizard doesn't make him inferior.
- His incomplete feeling - it's painful not feeling whole and he's sick of not being whole.
- How dull he is - he'd give anything to be interesting, but he feels doomed to a life of being boring because he's a squib.
- Golf - it's even more boring than he is.
