Height: 5’10”
Build: Medium, muscled.
Wand: Alder and Dragon Heartstring. Inflexible. 10 inches.
Very strong, but can be intemperate and rigid. Good for battle spells. Provides exceptionally strong protection for the family. Acceptable for transfiguration, but not for light and easy charms. Use for dark practices is possible, but not advisable. This wand does best in classic ‘war’ spells.
Patronus: Timber Wolf, which comes as a shock to no one. His memory is either of the day of his wedding or when he proposed.
Boggart: His wife dead. You know, they’re married, so he’s kind of attached to her.
Dementor: The deaths of his grandparents and coworker.
Amortentia: Coffee, a ‘fresh’ smell, orchids.
Nicknames: He just goes by Sae or Saeros.
Clothing Style: Casual, and more muggle-oriented. He seems to be incapable of wearing anything other than jeans unless the situation requires something more formal and t-shirts suit him just fine when it isn't winter. Most colours are fine, as long as they're not too eyecatching/sporkworthy.

Siblings: N/A
Relatives: N/A
Other Important Figures: Amanda Saeros, his wifey, and a small time author. <3
Pets: He owns an incredibly large grey Irish Wolfhound named Juan which is rather well behaved and docile, usually. The two share an almost unnatural understanding.
Pensieve:
Saeros was born a regular kid in a regular house in a regular British suburb. Oh, except for the fact that as a toddler he could make his toys fly. Suffice to say he almost gave his parents a heart attack. Rather terrified and unsure of what was going on, his parents saw fortune tellers, occultists, and anyone they could for advice before deciding never to tell anyone that their son could turn his fork blue with his mind. The weirdness didn’t exactly stop during his time at primary school either, and answers finally arrived on Saeros’s 11th birthday in the form of a wizard arriving at their house and explaining the whole shebang.
Sad as they were to be parted from their son and sad as he was to leave his friends and family, Saeros was allowed to go to Hogwarts where he quickly integrated. His school life was also rather regular, and around 5th year he decided was going to follow his father in law enforcement, even if it was a rather different sort of thing in the wizarding world. He worked hard, graduated in all the necessary subjects, and finally managed to pass.
Auror training wasn’t exactly easy, but Saeros managed to stick through it. There were two other Michael’s studying along with him, so to make everything simple one went by Michael, the other went by his middle name, and Saeros went by his surname and variations thereof.
He graduated a few years later and was thrust into the work very quickly. The threat to the wizarding world was not as pronounced with Voldemorts downfall, but there was still a large amount of wizards causing enough trouble to keep the department busy. A couple of years into his work, Saeros was sent out with his partner to pick up a wizard deemed a ‘light’ threat. ‘Light’ Saeros’s ass. The dark wizard knew more than the department had expected. Both his partner and the wizard were killed.
There was nothing much to comfort for the loss of a close friend and Saeros did not do well for a long time. To keep himself occupied in his spare time on something other than work he started looking up rather unique fields of magic and became interested in animagi in particular. Hey, why not?
His dark mood didn’t break until Miss Amanda Addison walked into his department one day. A young author, she had talked her way into being allowed to interview some aurors as part of research for her new mystery novel. Saeros’s friends quickly booted him into helping her and they struck up a correspondence which resulted in owl addresses being exchanged, and finally, Amanda suggested a dance class as a first date.
They hit it off and dated for a period of about three years. During this time Saeros was successful in his goal to become an animagus, and everything seemed to be going great until one Christmas. Too much alcohol and high spirits resulted in Amanda and her editor ending up in a back room together. Saeros’s first reaction when he found out was to head right over and punch the editor in the face. The man lost a tooth Amanda was barely able to talk the man out of filing an assault charge. On the plus side, she fired the editor afterwards and things went back to normal, even if Saeros was left a little more paranoid than usual about seeing her with other men.
Eventually, he decided it was time for the next step. Amanda had been under stress from barely meeting her new editors deadlines, so he hired out a small cottage into the country for a week connected to a small magical farm to ‘help her wind down’. It was there, at night, on a small boat with the full moon reflected on the lake and surrounded by flying horses that he proposed.
.. And then he ended up in hospital that very week. One of the hazards of working as an auror. Cursed and battered pretty badly, Saeros was alright with the best care St. Mungos had to offer and was let out after a week, but still. The timing could have been better with that one.
They moved in together first, a measure to check the marriage would work. It was a stressful time littered with arguments for the first few weeks until they finally settled in. As the wedding approached, tensions were high and the date kept getting pushed back again, and again, and again. Bad weather. Family can’t make it. Reception not booked properly. Dress won’t be ready in time. Both of them were almost ready to tear their hair out.
Eventually, the day arrived. Naturally, the weather report threatened rain. Sick of postponing, they decided to go through with it anyway. It was a small outdoors affair and Saeros brought along some work friends and family. The ceremony itself went well, at least until the end when right on cue the rain poured down and everyone had to run for cover to the reception.
Unfortunately, the auror department had come under an extra workload and Saeros was barely allowed any time off for a honeymoon. After a few days hiking in the Rockies they were back home and adjusting to life as a couple.
They have been married now for around ten years. There have been high and low points as with any marriage, but overall they are relatively happy. Amanda has been working hard at her writing and Saeros earned himself a few promotions. Life, however, has become a little routine as of late and no matter how much he brings it up, Amanda still doesn’t want children yet...
[/ul] the inner workings
Dislikes: Loud noises, strong smells, disorderly conduct, traitors, brooms, anyone outside his perceived ‘group’, perverts that know about his animagus and make ‘doggy style’ jokes at either him or his wife.
Quirks and Habits: Uses pens, and is responsible for spreading them around the ministry. Hey, they’re better than quills! Doesn't look his superiors in the eye but will stare down others. Eats too much meat.
Mirror of Erised: Lots of kids, and Potters job (although he won’t admit that last one out loud.)
In Depth Personality:
✔ Loyal/Selfless :: Family and friends before himself, always.
✔ Aspiring :: He’s always looking for a shot to ascend further up the hierarchy at work. Assuming, of course, it doesn’t mean going against someone he likes.
✔ Cooperative :: Saeros works best in a group, either as a leader or just as a teammate, he’ll put in equal effort. He always has the welfare of his group as his top priority as will put aside personal issues with someone in order to get things done.
✔ Courageous :: He’ll barge headfirst into something dangerous if required of him.
✔ Decisive :: He’s quick at making decisions. If they’re the right one is another matter.
✔ Hard Working :: He immerses himself into whatever tasks he’s assigned. After all, he can’t be the one to let everyone down.
✔ Reliable :: Ties in with loyal and hardworking. Give him a task and he’ll get it done come hell or high water.
✔ Self-disciplined :: Doesn’t smoke, doesn’t drink, knows when to quit, and can stick to routine like second nature.
✔ Protective :: Overly so, sometimes. He refuses to let anything happen to his friends or family, even though his behaviour probably irritates then to no end. If he ever has a daughter and some boy asks to date her, he’s the Dad that’ll crack out the shotgun. On the plus side, you can be sure nothing will ever happen to you.
✘ Ruthless :: Especially on the job. After all, a wolf can’t kill an elk if it’s not a merciless hunter.
✘ Co-dependent :: Saeros works best around others, and on a similar line he does not do well alone. He gets anxious, nervous/jumpy, lonely and generally feels vulnerable when not with at least one other person.
✘ Guarded :: He sees strangers as potential threats instead of friends. When he accepts you, that’s when he opens up, and even then only to an extent. He doesn’t like to appear ‘weak’.
✘ Overly fond of Regulation :: He likes rules, and get grumpy when people don’t obey them.
✘ Authoritarian :: He obeys his superiors instantly and without question, and he expects anyone under his command to do the same. If they don’t he can get more than a little grouchy and see it as a threat to his position.
✘ Serious/Humourless :: Not his fault, he’s usually just too busy worrying about his wife, about money, about work, about his friends, and he has a tendency to be more than a little pessimistic.
✘ Worrier :: He can’t help it, it’s what he does.
✘ Irritable :: Because all that stress needs to come out somehow.
✘ Untrusting :: Could just be paranoia from years on the job, but you could swear he thinks anyone that’s not a family or friend is somehow out to get him.
