Somehow a few pale, thin streaks of sunlight had fought their way through the blanket of clouds and the cobbled streets of Hogsmeade were awash with bright white light. Jack, sheilding his eyes against the glare reflected from the puddles of melted snow, meandered along over the cobblestones, going nowhere in particular. His feet made squelching sounds as he lazily dragged them through the slush, and the air was full of the chatter and laughter of several years worth of Hogwarts students, all making the most of their 'freedom' from school.
He smiled to himself as he remembered how he had been so eager to get out of the school when he had reached his third year, and had always rushed to get to the front of the queue. Not that he didn't appreciate Hogsmeade, it just got a little tedious and predictable after a while and it was only really fun if you were there with somebody, which he wasn't. He had got everything he needed already today, but he didn't want to go back to Hogwarts when he still had a couple of hours left to kill. It was his stomach that swayed his decision in the end. He stopped and looked around to check where he was and within seconds he had turned around and was heading towards his favourite cafe. In his rush to get there he didn't realise that he was moving against the current of people, and walked head on into somebody, dropping his bag into the slush...
[It's lame but I wanted to start a thread so meh....]

Juliette wasn’t incredibly fond of Hogsmeade - she hadn’t been since her fourth year. It seemed to her to be more aggravating than it was worth, with the hordes of people trying to cram into the tiny shops all at once and focusing on their own, individual needs rather than considering that other people actually existed. She’d been barged out of the way, or plainly knocked flying by someone rushing through the little village so many times that she’d lost count. The worst thing was that she often did the same thing. With her mind constantly wandering, she never really looked where she was going and always found herself walking in to people. The only difference was that her casual amble barely had the momentum to rock the person she’d collided with, let alone knock them over.
Today, Julie had found herself in the minute town. It wasn’t as much a decision as a necessity – She had somehow managed to dissolve a great hole in the bottom of her cauldron in her last potion lesson, and her previous experience with the school cauldrons had been less than pleasant. So she had made the decision to eventually drag herself from her bed earlier than normal and buy a new one. Promptly after this, she had taken this rare visit as an opportunity to stock up on sweets. In a single visit to Honeydukes, she’d bought enough to last her at for at least another three months or so, and stored them all in her cauldron. In about an hour, she’d finished her shopping and, reluctant to journey back alone if she could prevent it at all, found herself hunting for something to do, or at least a familiar face.
She didn’t find either of these, and within five minutes had given up looking. She took to aimlessly wandering the streets in her usual daydream, with her legs on auto-pilot, trusting that fate would intervene eventually and help her stumble across someone she knew, perhaps even quite literally. It didn’t take her long to get lost in her thoughts. It took her even less time to snap out of them when her body collided with some other warm, moving object, knocking her off balance. She flailed a little, to try to keep herself standing, sending a few sweets flying as she did so. Eventually, she once again found herself on the floor.
”Oh crap... Sorry.” She apologised to the object, fully aware that she could be talking to a lamppost for all she knew. However, as she looked up, she noticed that the object had a face, and therefore was definitely a person. ”I wasn’t looking or anything...”
((Sorry if it makes little sense, it's nearly 2am XD))
