Lily really didn't see how this situation could get a lot worse. The only girl really talking or feeling at all confident was the blonde with the bandadged arm (which Lily was still concerned about and really, she thought that Arielle should go to the nurse, just in case) and she couldn't even tell who was talking to who. Oh, well. She brushed her hair behind her ear and listened to the other two speak. Gee, at least they had an interesting life, sort of. Especially Arielle. Lily too had grown up in a village, like Deirdre (well, sort of – Lily hadn't exactly spent much time outside of their house at Godric's Hollow, so growing up in a village was a bit of a stretch). ”What village?” she asked, curious. Her geography was terrible but with the Weasley clan living bloody well everywhere, there was half a chance she knew it.
”Santa Cruz? Really?!” she exclaimed before calming down a little bit. It was on her list of places to go before she died – and yes she really did have a list. It was fairly big, and she knew it was unlikely she'd ever get to see all of them. Such was life, she supposed. She could see Arielle as a surfer – she looked like the type. Maybe it was the blonde hair she associated with it? Entirely possible. ”Heh, I could never learn to surf,” she admitted sheepishly. ”I've got no real sense of co-ordination, I'd be in the sea within a second.” Quidditch, on the other hand, she could do. Sort of. Enough to be on the team, anyway, but she'd decided that really hadn't been that hard. ”Do you do any other sports?” she asked the both of them.
