It was too cold to be outside, Odette knew it when she shivered and huddled deeper into her sweater. Her bag was laden with books and hung heavily on her shoulder. She didn't need to study but she brought them anyway, it was more of a force of habit to carry them around than use them now anyway.
Pushing the bag higher on her shoulder, she smiled and nodded a quiet hello when she passed a couple of first year Ravenclaw students. The chilly wind cut through her as she walked to the far end of the courtyard. She glanced up at the younger students practicing on the broomsticks, and groaned, she wasn't very good at flying and could remember the disaster of trying to learn when she was younger.
Shaking her head as if to shake away the memories, she sat down on the cold stone bench and laid her bag beside her, she was glad she had pants on instead of the traditional skirts, the stone was cold, and she could feel the chill through the fabric of the pants. Picking out her book, she thumbed through the pages and sighed almost dreamily as she started to read. "Cold as hell, but best place in the school for peace and quiet." She mumbled turning the page again and leaning back against the cold stone pillar.

"Danny?"
Felix listened to his voice echo down the corridor before calling out again. "Danny, kiddo, come on boy. Where are you?"
The Gryffindor had spent a great deal of the day that had already passed looking for his black kitten. The animal didn't often leave the common room, but when it did feel adventurous and went exploring, it would often get lost in the castle which meant his owner would have to hunt him down. The worst thing was, the kitten was a master of disguise. It was nigh on impossible to find him at night, and it was only slightly easier in the light of day. So the seventh year had been scrambling around the castle for a while now, he'd been laughed at by first years after having to crawl along to look under desks and tables, and once or twice he'd absent-mindedly walked into things whilst trying to find the mischevious pet. At this particular moment, he was sporting a nicely swollen, bleeding lip from walking in to a door frame at a considerable speed.
"I swear you're more trouble than it's worth." Felix mumbled under his breath, peering behind an ornament on display in an alcove. If he cared any less about the cat, he would have given up and gone back to bed. However, he knew that, left to its own devices, the animal would truly lose itself and would probably end up getting eaten. He was far too attached to the kitten to let this happen.
On passing the courtyard, a flash of black caught his eye. He froze mid-step, and turned slowly to face out into the open space. He carefully studied the area, until he spotted a pair of black cat-ears and bright blue eyes staring at him from behind the leg of a bench. A grin grew on Felix's face as he maintained eye contact with the creature, and then he spurred into motion. Darting across the courtyard, he caught the animal in the middle of a leap with both hands, and let out a victorious laugh.
"Got you!" He chuckled, cradling the cat in his arms and scratching his chin. "You're so bad, you. When will you learn, you always get lost! Honestly, I thought cats were meant to be the intelligent ones..."
His voice trailed up as his eyes found the girl, leaning against a pillar with a book in her hands. He watched her shiver, and instantly felt bad for her. Here he was, all wrapped up With a jumper, a scarf and gloves, and there was a girl across the courtyard shivering her heart out. He unzipped his jumper ands shrugged it off, shifting the kitten from arm to arm as he did so. Then, he approached the girl.
"Uhh, hey miss?" He asked her softly, tilting his head to a side as he did so. He held the jumper out to her. "I thought you looked cold, would you like this?"
((Sorry it took me so so so long D:))
