It was entirely too early for escapades such as roaming about the castle or the grounds, but Jasper hadn't slept the entire night. His normally lifelike blue-green eyes were a bit dull, glossed over from lack of sleep. It almost appeared as if there was no soul within them, and Jasper felt like this was partially true. He was tired, his entire body ached with fatigue.. but he hadn't been able to sleep. Even if he were to trudge himself right on up to his bed now, Jasper knew he wouldn't sleep. He wasn't an insomniac by any stretch, but sometimes his disorder caused his mind to race and last night had been one of those times.
Barely stifling a yawn that threatened to slip forward, Jasper shuffled his feet along the dew ridden grass. They were making a bee line towards the lake, but he knew that he probably wouldn't even make it that far before the strength in his legs gave way and he resigned to plopping himself underneath a tree somewhere. But still, Jasper wanted to try.
The American student barely even noticed that someone else was near him when he finally decided he simply did not feel like walking any further. As he yawned and failed to hold this one back, a loud sigh escaped from his lips, tears from the effort of the yawn pooling in the corners of his coal lined eyes. Unceremoniously, Jasper lowered himself onto the grass not too far from Dominique's tree, laying his cheek flush against the land. His eyes fluttered for a moment, closing in vain because he knew he wouldn't nap.
"I hate my life." He muttered out loud to himself, hand slowly slipping back to dig into his pocket.
