Hogwarts at night was a hazardous place. It wasn’t because there was anything dangerous lurking the corridors when dark fell, but more because the dark was so thick that if you looked down, you wouldn’t be able to see your feet. Thankfully, on this night the moon shone bright and temporarily lit up blotches of the dark, winding corridors and at least offered some sort of light to help any wandering students make their way through the school. Outside, the moonlight illuminated the majority of the grounds, except for the area near the Forest, which was darkened by the shadows of the trees. It was in this shade that the seventh year Gryffindor stood, leaning against one of the trees with his arms crossed. Felix heaved a sigh and closed his eyes.
He wasn’t entirely sure why he was there. He had been sitting in his dorm room doing his Defence Against the Dark Arts essay when a tawny Hogwarts owl dropped a letter from Alexis on his head. She’d told him to meet her outside after nightfall. He’d done so, but so far he’d been there ten minutes and there was no sign of the blonde. He was starting to get bored and cold, but clung to the idea that Alexis must have something thrilling lined up to drag them outside on such a cold night. So he held his position, trying to figure out what the sixth year’s great plan might possibly be.
((Sorry, it's not the most thrilling of starts =/))
