Introducing...
Name:
Cameron "Rhea" Reagan Wright
Age:
April 1st - 15
Gender:
Female
Year:
5th Year
Birthplace:
London, England.
Ethnicity:
Caucasian
Nationality:
Though technically a citizen of England, she was raised in the Southern United States.
Blood:
Muggle-Born.
Relatives:
Mother’s Name: Ellis Wright
Father’s Name: Jeremiah Lester
Siblings: Possibly (See History)
Pets:
At the current point in time, Rhea has no pets, though she does have an affinity for dogs.
Wand Type:
8 and ¼ in. Hawthorne with Unicorn Hair
This wand is very creative and natural, though inconstant. Exceptionally good for charms (especially love spells). In Transfiguration results are unpredictable: the spell mostly affects an owner than an object. Suits well for any form of magical art or for intuitive branches of magic (Divination included). Can be sucessfully used in healing. Not very good against Dark Arts, and cannot be used for that purpose.
Appearance
Picture:
Hair Colour:
Rhea's hair is a delightfully rich shade of cocoa brown, with natural high and low lights spread intermittently throughout her curls.
Eye Colour:
Her eyes aren't some enchanting shade of green or an icey blue, but a simple, understated pair of brown doe eyes.
Build:
The girl is rather thin, however, she doesn't have any bones in her mid-section showing. ((Shoulderblades excluded))
Skin Tone:
She doesn't tan well, so at best, Rhea becomes a touch less less pale.
Height:
While she stands at a solid five feet and seven inches, she appears taller at a distance due to her light weight and shape.
Dress Style:
Rhea generally won't stray far from the school uniform during the week, though on the weekends, she wouldn't even bother with the tie. Instead, she would likely be found in a bright sundress during the warmer months, a light sweater with jeans once there was a light chill in the air, and a warm peacoat in the winter. Usually, her clothing choices are yellows and blues, though she does occasionally stray with reds and oranges, and rarely picks black to wear outside of her school robes and winter coat. For formal events, she will don a lovely gown, though she changes into more practical clothing as soon as she can. Needless to say, she rarely wears traditional wizard clothing, if given the choice. The only exception to her aversion to wizard clothing is the cloak, which she finds kind of fun.
Specifics:
There's nothing particularly outlandish about Rhea's appearance, other than the illusion of height she gives off from a distance. Of course, to certain eyes, her thick hair and large curls might be noticeable. Or perhaps it's her willowy build that would happen to draw the eye. Even her brown eyes have been remarked upon by their purity. To a stray touch, one could be shocked by her soft, warm skin. In the end, different people could and would notice different things about the girl who sees herself as plain.
In Front Of Friends
Sexual Orientation:
Heterosexual.
Self Image:
Rhea's sense of self is positive, for the most part. Despite her seeing her physical features as plain, on her best day, she does believe herself to be good person. Never one to pay too much attention to blood status, she sees Magic in particular as a gift, not a right. The girl does believe in investing in good karma, so if she believes someone needs help, or someone asks for it, she'd definately do her best to help them, at least until she began to feel that she was being taken advantage of, or one of her friends warned her of the ne'er-do-well that was doing so to her. Her sense of humor is almost always hit-or-miss, though she, herself, is easily amused, and is prone to fits of laughter when she is reminded of any event she found hilarious.
To the Outward Eye:
How people see Rhea is solely contingent on where the see her. If were one to first observe her in the Corridors, she'd seem somewhat rushed and distant, opting not to talk too much. The same person could then note that in Potions, she would seem cold with a somewhat diguised superiority complex while having a "Golden Child" routine, though in other classes, such as Transfigurations and Defence Against the Dark Arts, she is much more humble. The starkest contrast would be if a person were to observe her in her Common Room, the Great Hall, or on the Grounds (when not heading to Care of Magical Creatures), because she'd be quite friendly and engaging. On the rarest of circumstances, when one catches her when she thinks she's alone, they could observe her being as she puts it, "silly," where she sings and/or playing piano to a non-existant audience.
Social Status:
Rhea is, for the most part, friendly with everyone, but only a few are her friends. Being the grin and bear it type, people she can't stand more than likely don't know it, unless they are particularly astute. She usually doesn't go to parties or balls, but if someone were to ask her, Rhea would more than likely go with them just to be polite. While she is rarely considered to be cool, she is hard not to like by most people.
Positive Traits:
Negative Traits:
Skills:
From years of lessons that began as soon as she could reach from one side of the keys to the other, Rhea has become a rather capable pianist. Speaking in terms of Magic, she is fairly good at Charms and Potions.
Likes:
>Playing Piano - She enjoys playing the piano (when no one is there) as a stress releasing mechanism, as the sound soothes her mind, and pounding the keys during a dramatic piece vents her frustration.
>Yoga - This is a particularly relaxing past time of Rhea's which helps to keep her in shape and flexible, and bolsters her cheery mood with fresh energy she gets from meditating.
>Climbing Trees - Similar to a cat, Rhea feels oddly safe within the branches of a tree, so she will undoubtedly be seen sitting on one while reading a book.
>Springtime - She loves plants as they awaken from their winter's sleep, and begin to burst through the gray landscape with bright colors.
>Gay Guys - All the fun of a guy with none of the pressures - how could you not like them? ((I hit a roadblock, so it was all I could think to put.))
Dislikes:
>Trasfigurations - She's not good at it, and being bad at it, she doesn't enjoy doing it.
>Swimming (in most cases) - Due to her extreme fear of drowning, Rhea prefers to avoid swimming almost alltogether, only doing so when in the company of a strong swimmer and when in clear waters.
>Mice, Spiders, and Snakes - 'Plague-bearers' as her mother calls them, are all (for general purposes of her dislike of them) filthy, digusting creatures that need to stay far away from her.
>Quidditch - Four balls, four bats, and fourteen players. It's a whole lot of movement that's hard to follow and harder to feign interest in.
>Kiwi - Hair and fruit just don't mix. Period.
Patronus:
Her patronus, perhaps due to the lack of need to do so, her (lack of) skill in D.A.D.A., or just her wand, is a misty silver blob, though she'd swear she saw a horse's head form briefly once.
Boggart:
Rhea's boggart is being trapped in ice without her wand. To her, this is the most iconic example of a hopeless and lethal situation, which is both depressing and frightening to her.

Report:
Depending on the subject, Rhea's presence in a classroom can be a blessing or a curse. In Potions, she has been considered a star pupil, who finishes early with a fairly low rate of error, and talks very little. Within the Greenhouses for Herbology, she has been described as a bit chatty, but still a good student. Yet, in D.A.D.A., she was forced to do mostly just theory work due to the amount of missfired spells and inadvertant disruptions she has caused. And then, to conviently round things out, in History of Magic, Rhea has been considered a bad student.
Personal Statement:
Rhea thouroughly enjoys Potions, due to her prowess at the subject, as it is easy for her to follow directions to the letter. The same could be said of Herbology, though she isn't quite as skilled at it since she tended to overwater and overfertilize her plants. The inverse of these classes are her Defence Against the Dark Arts and History of Magic classes, the former being quite hard for her to practice. The latter is a class that, despite her best effort, she can't help but to fall asleep. Of course, the Professor was always an older man with a monotoned voice, so his lectures should have been labeled as sleep-inducing.
History:
Cameron Reagan Wright was the product of a lapse in judgement. Her mother, a muggle, had happened to have too much to drink, and had a one night stand with a guy she did not know was a notorious man-whore ((And for the record, he was a muggle, too.)) who left town the moment he found out she was pregnant.
Only eight months later, the Doctors had to induce labor for Ellis's health, which had become fragile during the pregnancy. Unlike most babies, this one, which would grow up to be an abnormal young woman, was born with her eyes already a dark shade of brown. But this was only the begining of the oddities that would follow the girl throughout her childhood.
She grew quickly, before the first year of her life tied itself to the second year, any signs that she had been born prematurely were gone, and she was only seen as an exceptionally well behaved infant, a delightfully cute toddler, and a sweet, if not a bit odd, child.
Somehow, the girl on occasion, by some odd coincedence, seemed to come into contact with things just before strange events occured to or with said things. At first, it was small things, like a drooping flower that was begining to wilt rejuvenated, becoming just as fresh as the day it was cut. However, as she grew in age, so did the oddities, like when she was seven and she was present for a chalkboard floating to the ceiling, or when she was ten and the desk of another student began racing around the classroom.
This was followed shortly by a visit from the Headmaster of the local Wizarding Academy, who, after a brief display of power, convinced the skeptical woman that her daughter was indeed a Witch, and allowed her to be taken to the school to be trained. However, there is a distinct disadvantage for Muggleborns - their families don't make Wizarding Money. Despite this, the Headmaster had an idea, and that was that the girl could assist the Professor of Muggle Studies for a modest wage, allowing her to acquire her supplies and purchase clothing and other needs throughout her schooling.
Her years went boringly, other kids advanced and failed in their studies, minor dramas about nothing in particular, like a dull gray area devoid of any sparkle or splash of color. Luckily, her mother recently decided they both needed a change of pace, so the two moved to England, where Rhea had been born, to start fresh. ((I apologize for the bad quality, my power zapped out when I wrote this the first time, and it wasn't as good the second time around.))
Roleplay Sample:
((Like I said, I'm a little rusty and I wasn't sure what to write about, so I picked this even though there are more efficient ways to get a Transfer student to Hogwarts.))
It was ridiculously early in the morning when Rhea approached Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. There was a surprising chill in the air, causing the young woman to pull her ebon-colored coat around her shoulders while pushing her over-loaded cart down the walkway, carefully trying to avoid the pockets of steam arising from here and there. Her eyes darted around, checking for eyes that might have been attracted to the site of a lone girl, donned in a solid black peacoat, dark blue jeans, and a black woolen cap atop her head, before she forced her things, as well as herself, through the pillar to get to the correct train. She took a deep breath and clenched her eyes shut before running at the column, disappearing into it, sending a minor ripple through it that vanished just as swiftly as she had, making a small child watching her from his mother's lap wonder if the girl had ever been there to begin with.
The brunette, after a couple of seconds, slowly opened her eyes, taking in the breath-taking sight of the regal crimson train. It only took a moment before she realized she had never seen anything so beautiful in her life, though the moment was truncated when the Porter offered her assistance with her things, to which she nodded somewhat dumbly, continuing to stare at the Hogwarts Express picking up a single bag as she boarded the train, taking in the entire essence of it all. Picking a random compartment, she slid the door open, slumping down in the seat and taking a few deep breaths before the train lurched forward, beginning the journey to Hogwarts. Before she even realized she was a little bit tired, she was already asleep.
Rhea slept quite peacefully as the train powered down the tracks at a pace that was more than respectable by Muggle standards, not that she'd notice during this trip, as it wasn't until the castle was in view did one of the Train Attendants come to wake her and inform her that she needed to change into her uniform by the time they got there, and then left quickly to give her some privacy to change clothing. As quickly as she could, she changed from her pants and into her uniform skirt, her shirt already meeting the standard under her jacket. Opening the snaps and zipper on her bag, she first removed a tie, tucking it under her collar before tightening it around her neck and smoothing it out before removing her robe, shaking it out briefly before putting it on over her other articles of clothing. Having finished dressing, she looked out of the window at the building that was looming over the landscape around it, causing her to gasp in a mixture of shock and awe. The place looked like home.

While she is rarely considered to be cool, she is hard not to like by most people.
Positive Traits:
- Cheerful - Rhea is almost always looking on the bright side, which is sometimes annoying to others, not that she notices or cares, since she thinks at the end of the day, being happy is what matters.
- Courteous - Always polite and proper, the girl believes that being impolite will severely limit your chances in life.
- Loyal - When Rhea truly has made a friend, she would defend them verbally, or even physically, if the situation arose.
- Faith in Others - As a young girl, she associated with the quote "Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart." The phrase made her think that no one could be completely evil, and if you have enough Faith in them, people will do the right thing.
- Open-Minded - Rhea is very open-minded about people's preferences and lifestyles, with few exceptions. (She doesn't understand or tolerate mutilation be it to others or one's self.)
Negative Traits:
- Naïve - She lacks general worldly experience, and is quite gullible and easily manipulated. In addition, she doesn't understand sarcasm, so it tends to confuse her.
- Random - Her thought processes and location-dependent social habits are scattered and random, and sometimes difficult to follow. Whenever someone thinks to call her random or some synonym of sporadic, she defensively counters with, "I'm not random, you just don't think as fast as I do."
- Indecisive - Fickle's ugly stepsister causes Rhea to often have issues making medium-big desicions, which is why she usually relies on coin flips or Chaos Rule.
- Clumsy - The girl trips rather frequently when she moves any faster than a walk, though her mishaps have been more unusual than just tripping on roots, stones, and gopher holes, though she'd prefer not to go into that if at all possible.
- Weak Nerved - Without help to keep calm, Rhea can easily become frazzled in a crisis situation, becoming more of a liability than an asset. An extention of this is when she is frightened, she has been known to faint, which generally happens when she performs publically.
