Introducing...
Name:
Serenity Giselle Knight
Age:
December 21st -15
Gender:
Female
Year:
Sixth Year
Birthplace:
London. England
Ethnicity:
Causcasian
Nationality:
French and British
Blood:
Half Blood
Relatives:
Berty Knight - Father
Giselle LaFleur nee' Knight - Mother
Lovely Knight - Sister
Pets:
Shakespeare is a purebred Somali male with a nasty attitude. He generally thinks he's king of the entire school and saunters around with pride and arrogance. He's not the affectionate sort; not even with Serenity herself and is typically nasty and stand off-ish; hating to be touched and only coming around so he can be fed.
Wand Type:
Rowan, Dragon Heartstring
This wand is powerful in essence though also tricky to handle; demanding a user who is dominant and confident. It's generally not suitable for healing spells and is best suited more for incantations that require precision; like charms and transfiguration. It's also exceptional to delve into the Dark Arts with but is poor with protecting against them.
Appearance
Picture:
Hair Colour:
Dark brown, near black.
Eye Colour:
Her eyes are a pale, sterling blue.
Build:
Serenity is extremely slender; to the point where her clothes hang off her and she'd appear to be almost too thin. She's also rather tall.
Skin Tone:
Pasty.
Height:
5'8"
Dress Style:
Serenity is extremely feminine and when not dressed in her school attire you'll often find her in dresses or even a chic business suit-like attire. Everything (from fabrics to style) is usually plain though elegant, neat, and refined looking. Her hair is usually kept down and is naturally pin straight; refusing to curl no matter how much the girl tries to coax some volume into it. Serenity rarely wears make up as her features are sharp enough without it; eye make up being a big no as it only accentuates the deep purple bags under her eyes.
Specifics:
Serenity's distinctive physical features are definitely her ashen skin and blue eyes (though burdened with sickly purple circles under them). She's tall for a girl but extemely petite (slender to the point of almost looking unhealthy) and therefore tends to swim in her clothes unless they are custom made or hemmed.
In Front Of Friends
Sexual Orientation:
Heterosexual
Self Image:
Serenity believes she's never good enough and clearly has some low self-esteem problems. She's severely ashamed of her muggle heritage and thus will never speak about her home life. Serenity is a daddy's girl and is always trying to please Berty Knight - which she does so with flying colors. Unlike most insane people; Serenity knows something isn't right with her and thus has constant inner turmoil. It's not normal to hear voices whisper in your head; telling you what to do. It's not normal to want to have the blood of the boy you fancy all over your skin. In honesty the girl is afraid of her inner monster and what she's capable of; constantly at war with herself. To mask this vulnerability the girl will put up an flawless mask of innocense; a simper here and touch of flush to her face there... She knows she's a brilliant actress.
To the Outward Eye:
On first impression; Serenity would seem like your average girl though perhaps a bit on the meek, shy side. She's quite obviously beautiful (though eerie) and her pristine clothing would make her seem reserved. You would also think that the girl definitely does not get enough sleep as her skin is nearly ashen and she possesses dark circles under her eyes. There's something unsettling about her gaze; it's bold, piercing and gives off the vibe that she's scheming something extraordinarily morbid for you.
Social Status:
Serenity is not the most popular person to ever have wandered the halls of Hogwarts; actually because she's so reserved it gives off the impression that she's a complete and total snob. She's one of those people you'll see off on their own as opposed to travelling with a large pack of people but it's not because she's antisocial; she actually can be a rather social creature if you take the time to approach her but generally you'll find her conversing with the more feared and ferocious types of people. She's invisible in her classes and she likes it that way; half of her teachers don't even realize she's there until she hands in her home work assignments or suddenly decides to participate in class and answer a question of some sorts. As for her family; they adore and cherish her. To them she can do no wrong!
Positive Traits:
Negative Traits:
Skills:
Serenity Knight is a brilliant liar and actress and she definitely would excel in theatre. The girl is also an exceptional singer (though hardly ever does) and has ballet under her belt like her older sister (again pushed onto her by Giselle Knight).
Likes:
Dislikes:
Patronus:
Fox; the fox is a cunning creature and definitely feminine and graceful. It's rather deceitful while wrapped in such a small package but if you were to reach out to pet it it would certainly gnaw your fingers off and gnaw with conviction.
Boggart:
Well there was that time she killed Irene Colynuck and so her Boggart would definitely have to be a rather fiendish looking version of herself (messy chocolate brown hair, flashing demonic red eyes, a devilish smile of delight, blood all over her hands and clothing etc.) standing over a broken and crumpled elderly nanny in a pool of blood. The counterfeit Serenity would turn to look at her and laugh maniacally; then start verbally harrassing her, critisizing her and mocking her. It's terribly graphic and definitely not for the faint of heart; which is why Serenity never hopes to encounter another Boggart for the rest of her days.
World Passing By
Subjects:
Report:
Well Serenity usually behaves in class and is rather bright; though most teachers tend to overlook her because she's quiet and generally keeps to herself. The girl will most likely be sitting in the furthest desk from the front and keep everything hush hush; though sometimes she'll participate with a rather brilliant answer to a question or problem asked.
Personal Statement:
DADA; the girl thinks this class is a complete joke. Having studied some of the unforgivable curses and knowing their capabilities it seems like rubbish that you'd be able to duel your way out of one of them by using mediocre protection spells. Despite her dislike for the class she has proven to be exceptionally talented in it nonetheless.
Arithmancy; numbers bore her and the patterns used to solve equations are all repetitive! Serenity certainly detests this class with a passion but again it would be shameful to drop it or risk failing it. Her father wouldn't be to pleased with her.
Transfiguration; spells that require precision and manipulation are by far what she excels at. Serenity enjoys this class because she flourishes in it and is known to have exceptional transfiguration abilities.
Charms; she finds the theory to be extremely fascinating and Serenity actually is known to willingly participate in this class. She likes the professor who teaches it.

History:
Roleplay Sample:
'Daddy wouldn't be too happy with us if he found out we allowed this to happen, hmm?' No, Serenity supposed he wouldn't but what was she going to do about it? She couldn't hex the woman without the Ministry crawling around, inquiring as to why she'd casted a spell while underage. That would only embarrass her family and that was Lovely Knight's area of expertise, not hers. She was the princess of the house hold, loved and lavished with affections and gifts. Serenity really would rather it be kept that way. 'Stop her! She's going upstairs, stop her Serenity!' As the voice snapped at her the girl lurched into action and had snatched the foot of the old woman from her place under the stairs; there being an opening under each wooden board. The woman gasped as she fell forward, the presents all slipping out of her arms and clattering down the steps as she teetered to regain her balance but instead tumbled backwards.
Serenity watched with horror as the old woman landed in an awkward mess at the foot of the cellar stairs; her head smacking against the concrete with a bone-splitting 'crack'. A scream from the top of the stairs indicated that someone had witnessed Irene's spectacular fall; followed by the hasty shuffling of running footsteps. Lovely was running for help... 'Run you fool, upstairs and mind all that blood now!' Right. With wide eyes the girl scampered up the steps, careful to spring over the fallen nanny's body and then scramble up the steps. 'Now catch your breath, fix your hair and you're going to go to your sister, dear...' No! No she couldn't do that, not after what she'd done! Irene Colynuck was all that Lovely had ever had to nurture her! She was disgusting, loathsome, horrible... a murderer and she should go to Azkaban with the rest of them! 'I said go to her! Comfort her, pat her hand and wipe her tears away from those pretty blue eyes of hers! You didn't kill Irene, dear, she tripped and fell down the stairs; a tragic accident.'
Serenity nodded to herself and plastered a cheery, faux smile on her face as she skipped into the kitchens where Lovely stood with Berty and Giselle, choking out what she'd seen with tears streaming down her face. The girl screeched to a stop and looked worriedly at the scene, 'Good, good...' finally going over to Lovely and slinking and arm around her trembling shoulders. "Lovely, what's wrong? Are you alright?" Serenity casted another worried look at Giselle and Berty; who in return told her to stay with Lovely while they went to clean up the mess. "There, there... it's alright, it'll be fine, Love..." Serenity cooed into the older girl's ear as she enveloped her in a tight hug. A hand automatically rose to stroke her cotton candy hair tenderly as the girl sobbed into her shoulder. This felt wrong... it all felt so wrong! 'No Serenity; this is right, this is what sisters are supposed to do for each other... comfort in times of need.'
'I'm insane...' The girl thought as she continued to murmur sweet nothings to her hysterical sibling; this time the thoughts were her own.

As for her family; they adore and cherish her. To them she can do no wrong!
Positive Traits:
- Intellectual - Definition; guided or developed by or relying on the intellect rather than upon emotions or feelings; rational. Serenity above anything else is very intelligent and is very rational; tending to think things through thoroughly before she acts. She's one to scheme up extravagant plots and is definitely not hesitant about researching the things that one is better left off ignorant to. She doesn't necessarily always have her nose in a book or isn't constantly studying; her mind being agile enough to pick things up the first time and remember them rather than having to repeat things over and over again. Serenity is also very selfish when it comes to sharing her knowledge about any subject; her information usually cunningly turned into some sort of bargaining chip. She'll share what she knows, sure, but for a price.
- Elegant - Definition; refined and tasteful in appearance or behavior or style. This girl rarely goes underwhere looking disasterous or even slightly frazzled. When she walks there's poise; when she talks there's superiority and fluidity in her voice; when she schemes you can be sure it will be a graceful and near flawless plan. Those who know Serenity can't deny that the girl lives day-to-day life with an impeccable reserved style.
- Eloquent - Definition; having or exercising the power of fluent, forceful, and appropriate speech. Serenity has the power of persuasion on her side; or rather the sly ability to make things sound better than they seem. She doesn't necessarily stray from the truth but she won't tell the whole of it either; almost like a shrewd business man. This trait makes her a rather wonderful public speaker and if you dare approach her; a stimulating conversationalist.
- Respectful - full of, characterized by, or showing politeness or deference: Unlike her sister the girl will respect the boundaries of one's privacy and is not one to boldly prod at a person. She's very polite; even when she does not receive the same courtesy back and most certainly does have regards for people of authority. That doesn't mean the girl will always behave like a domesticated kitten; she's been known to break the rules on occasion. However, she simply just doesn't allow herself to get caught. Can't have anything tarnishing her innocent appeal now can she?
- Perverse - Definition; willfully determined or disposed to go counter to what is expected or desired; contrary. This definitely may not seem like a positive trait but for Serenity it most certainly is. There is always a murderous voice in the back of her mind and constantly the girl is contradicting it and warring with herself; trying to do the exact opposite of what it wants to prove to herself that she is by no means crazy. If she were to listen to it it's likely Serenity Knight would be in Azkaban for the rest of her life. She's not completely evil and it's a fact she wants to be good and normal but it would seem fate has cruel different plans for her.
Negative Traits:
- Self Critical - Definition; tending to find fault with one's own actions, motives, etc. Serenity is the type of girl who strives for perfection but believes that it's out of her reach and thus is constantly putting herself down. She believes she's dreadfully plain and is a complete and total monster who is unworthy of anything and anyone. Though her grades are impeccable and home work assignments are near flawless she constantly feels like they are poorly done and are complete rubbish. Serenity's horrible outlook on herself borderlines self loathing. However; you'd never be able to tell that she feels this way because everyone can fake a smile and Serenity's masquerade is near impenetrable.
- Guilty - Definition; having committed an offense, crime, violation, or wrong, esp. against moral or penal law. For impure thoughts, for sinful schemes that may or may not be played out, for being imperfect, for murdering Irene Colynuck, for simply exsisting. Serenity Knight will always remain haunted by these things and forever guilty; she certainly does have a conscious - one that keeps her up at night due to horrible nightmares.
- Paranoid - Definition; Exhibiting or characterized by extreme and irrational fear or distrust of others. Serenity Knight is internally a nervous wreck; though it's not known if this is the real cause for her Insomnia or side effect of it. She generally doesn't trust anyone and as a result is limited when it comes to having friends or confidants. She generally doesn't confide in anyone because she's fearful such private information would be used against her. She's also partial to travelling in small packs rather than being in a large crowd; staring at her makes her feel uncomfortable and bumping and jostling her would make her angry and a potential threat to your safety.
- Envious - Definition; showing extreme cupidity; painfully desirous of another's advantages. Because the girl has a low self-esteem it's obvious that she'd have a green eyed monster for anyone that is charismatic and popular (not being those things herself) Generally Serenity is envious of emotional traits that a person has rather than material things. Someone who is everything she's not and therefore admirable would only make her take a loathing glance at herself. Serenity wishes she could be a normal witch, have boyfriends, attend parties etc. but her counterpart clearly has other plans for her.
- Macabre - Definition; of, pertaining to, dealing with, or representing death, esp. its grimmer or uglier aspect. The girl is often subjected to horrible, gore-trodden and ugly thoughts relating to death or serious injury. She has vivid nightmares which aid in her lack of sleep (Insomnia). Her thoughts are always gruesome; or rather her counterpart's thoughts are. This also relates to her being paranoid of having relationships with people; believing she's evil and deranged. Your pain is her pleasure, thus making Serenity Knight one sick puppy.
Skills:
Serenity Knight is a brilliant liar and actress and she definitely would excel in theatre. The girl is also an exceptional singer (though hardly ever does) and has ballet under her belt like her older sister (again pushed onto her by Giselle Knight).
Likes:
- Peppermints
This is really self explanatory; Serenity likes the taste of peppermint candies and usually always has one in her mouth. - Horror Movies
Blood, gore, screams. It's up her alley - or rather her inner voice's. - Money
Money means power, power means authority, authority means an easier obtained ambition. - The Dark Arts
She must know even the murkier aspects of magic. Knowledge is power and this fascinates her. - Books
She's lonely and the pages of books provide her with some comfort. Fictional characters are much better than real people. - Butterbeer
The tingle she gets in her stomach is wonderful! -and it quiets that monstrous inner voice... - Duelling
She likes to win. - Stuffies (stuffed animals)
Since Serenity can't cuddle another human being without vicious thoughts she's resorted to stuffed animals. She's been collecting them since she was a little girl. - Cigarettes
It relieves stress; a nasty muggle habit but when she's feeling particularly anxious they have a calming effect on her. - Theatre
What's not to like about the theatre? The angst, the drama, the story? It's all so vivid and grand! - Stargazing
This is another thing that calms her. - Hopeless Romantic
This is strange considering the girl is rather malicious; however; she can't deny that even with being isolated and withdrawn she wishes she could be in a functional relationship. All of her attempts have been failures & Serenity seems to be drawn to people with abusive natures. People who can make her submissive. - Snow
She was born in December; of course she loves snow! It's beautiful! - When People Hum/Sing to Her
Self explanatory.
Dislikes:
- Christmas
For obvious reasons; returning home to the scene of the crime. - Lovely Knight
Her sister is everything she isn't, has friends, is relatively normal (or at least without voices in her head) and can touch another human being without wanting to see their insides on their outsides! - Sleeping
Serenity has terrible nightmares; that and she's a chronic insomniac - Boggarts
For obvious reasons and because it links to a detail in her past she'd rather forget. - Animals
She likes the stuffed ones; the ones that won't care if she rips their heads off... - Spoof Films
They are ridiculously annoying and definitely not funny; too stupid for Serenity to find any enjoyment in them. - Intimacy
So she secretly craves it but believes it's out of her reach and therefore dislikes it. It taunts her, obtainable and yet not at the same time. - Ignorance
Serenity likes to know what's going on and believes everyone should keep themselves well informed. Ignorance in people is completely unacceptable. - Curiosity
Only when it's directed at her. Serenity likes her secrets to remain hers and is not fond of being the topic of gossip. Poking and prodding at her will make her surly. - The Sound Of Nails On A Chalkboard
Who actually likes this sound? Honestly? - Ice Cream
Serenity has sensitive teeth and extreme cold make them hurt. It's an annoying pain. - Fried Foods
They make her stomach a bit queasy and as a result the girl tends to eat all organic things.

History:
- Serenity Knight was born on December 21st; an early Christmas surprise for both Giselle and Berty Knight. The girl was tenderly loved by all her family members; including her older sister (despite the neglect Lovely faced after Serenity was born) even though the older girl would never admit her affection for her baby sister. As Serenity grew older it was clear who possessed the greater affection of their parents and over the years Serenity became proud of this and would constantly gloat to Lovely about it. This resulted in a sibling rivalry that over timed, became bitter and nearly deadly!
- When they were children the younger girl remembered watching a horror movie with her older sister about demons called Hellhounds. Lovely Knight had been so terrified of the make-believe creatures that Serenity couldn't resist tormenting her older sister about it and cunning tricked the girl into the cellars; claiming she'd lost her favorite doll down there and that she was too afraid to go find it. Playing the role of a devoted older sibling Lovely Knight hadn't expected her baby sister to slam the door closed and lock it on her! The stranger thing was that Serenity hadn't initially wanted to lock her sister in the cellars; she'd been told to by a mysterious voice...
- Serenity began attending Hogwarts like every other witch or wizard but hadn't flourished away from home like her sister had. She was rather withdrawn and chilly towards people; not making it easy to make friends or companions. Honestly Serenity was afraid that if she got too close to people they would abruptly turn their backs on her one day; betray her and then she would be forced to hurt them. Over the years that inner voice of hers became more fierce and louder; provoking Serenity to do more of her malicious acts. The girl hadn't realized that something was terribly wrong with her until she committed her first truly horrid blasphemy; murder.
- It had been her fourth year in school and she and Lovely were to return home for Christmas. Serenity, so used to being lavished with the affections of their family, had become quite jealous when she discovered that Irene Colynuck had taken it upon herself to purchase a bunch of spectacular presents for her older sister and had been bold enough to even imitate her parents' signatures on the tags! Serenity would not allow Lovely Knight to believe that she had Giselle and Berty's attention, not even for a fleeting second and so, being hidden under the cellar stairs to witness Irene's generous act the girl tripped the old nanny and sentenced her to her doom. Again it wasn't her idea to harm the old woman and Serenity Knight had had plenty of time to sulk over her crime while the rest of the family was preoccupied with mourning for the nanny; coming to the conclusion that she was insane.
- Having coming to that conclusion the nagging, murderous voice in her mind had grown louder. It was persistent with its' attempts to turn Serenity Knight into a monster; with or without the girls' consent; however Serenity resisted and still continues to resist to this day. Though the girl can't deny that isolation makes her lonely; even if it is for the safety of her peers.
