Light Blue

As a dancer, she is lean and toned all over, but enjoys a healthy hourglass figure with evenly-matched hips and chest.
Skin Tone:
Medium Brown
Height:
5’6
Dress Style:
Roxanne owns a lot of muggle clothing purchased from London market clothing stalls, and this is what she tends to wear at school. She favors black skinny jeans under long, figure-hugging tops in various bright colours and patterns. She normally doesn’t bother with jewelry because she reckons she’s distracting enough without adding anything sparkly (are you sensing the modesty?). She hates being asked what he favourite colour is, because she doesn’t have one.
Specifics:
Very obviously not white, but not quite black either, Roxanne has a slightly unusual quality about her ethnicity that is very noticeable. She styles her hair to be voluminous and bouncy and it is possibly her favourite thing about her appearance. She looks a little old for her age and could easily pass for eighteen.
In Front Of Friends
Sexual Orientation:
Heterosexual. Boys, please, and lots of them.
Self Image:
Most of the time, Roxanne thinks of herself as a sexually-liberated woman, a veritable nymph on the prowl for unsuspecting men. Occasionally (usually in the face of disapproval from others), she is struck down with guilt at her man-eating ways and will tell anyone who’ll listen that she “just wants to be loved!” She knows that it’s a terrible thing to toy with people’s emotions the way she does, but somehow she can’t seem to stop.
As she has grown into adulthood, most other concerns have fallen to the wayside in favour of her desire to validate herself through many and varied relationships. It’s very important to her self-image that she is attractive and desirable.
She considers Fred to have taken up the position of ‘sensible one’ in their family and feels free to misbehave as a result. Her parents have one good child to dote on, they don’t need another, in her opinion.
To the Outward Eye:
Roxanne hopes to come across as flirtatious and slightly aloof. She is coy and mischievous around any male she’s not related to, regardless of their attachments to other females or the inappropriate nature of any suggested relationship.
Social Status:
Roxanne has alienated a lot of other girls at school in her romantic machinations. Having absolutely no qualms about sleeping with someone’s boyfriend or, indeed, stealing him from right under some other girl’s nose has meant Roxie depends more on her cousins for female companionship than schoolmates.
She forms friendships very easily with boys but usually means for them to go further. This means she either ends up with a friend ‘with benefits’ or a very awkward friendship. She much prefers the former.
Positive Traits:
Negative Traits:
Skills:
Roxanne is an excellent dancer and is trained in classical ballet, modern ballet and urban dance. She is also a fair stage actress and can direct well. Her voice is unsuitable for singing, but it doesn’t stop her from trying. She’ll tell you she’s a good singer if you ask, but will usually refuse to prove it (consider yourself lucky, really…)
Likes:
Dislikes:
Patronus:
An Indian cobra. Venomous, but rarely actually bites. It opens its hood as a warning before it strikes. Roxanne is similarly fair in allowing her opponent a little while to contemplate their doom before she inflicts it.
Boggart:
Herself, except disfigured. She really is that shallow.

Report:
Roxanne is a very distractible pupil and doesn’t seem to have much time for her studies. She is, however, clever, and could do well if she applied herself. Her teachers hope to see her take N.E.W.T level studies more seriously than she did her OWLs.
Personal Statement:
All of her subjects bore her, and she makes little effort to hide it. She only tries in Defence, Charms and Transfiguration because she knows they’ll be useful someday.
History:
Roxie harbored dreams of stardom from a very young age, and was allowed to begin dance lessons at the age of five at a small, private dancing studio just around the corner from Diagon Alley. Her enthusiasm for it grew and she also began acting classes at a performing arts school a few years later. She was eventually attending five days a week and she dreaded receiving her Hogwarts letter and having to leave her ambitions behind to learn to use her magic. Initially she protested that she was, in fact, a squib, but her letter arrived and she was packed off to school with the rest of her family.
Her parents had hoped that she would see the possibility of the wizarding world when she went to school and would direct her ambition towards something within her own world. This was not to be the case, and Roxanne’s hopes for a career in performance are stronger than ever. During the summer and holidays she attends intensive classes in order to be as good as other hopefuls her own age.
At school she reluctantly took up her magical studies and spent many a night crying into her pillow for her lost dreams of fame and adventure. Eventually, one of her cousins noticed that she was unhappy and after a bit of thinking a solution was happened upon that would allow Roxie to continue her dancing even at school, albeit without tuition. James showed her the room of requirement, which transformed itself into a gleaming dance studio for her use whenever she wanted to practice.
As she grew and developed a more mature figure she realized that having a lean, curvaceous body was going to be an advantage, and put it to use in experimental fashion on the unsuspecting male population of Hogwarts. Within a few years she gained a reputation for flirtatiousness and a lot besides, which she doesn’t mind, but it drives her cousins and brother mad.
Roleplay Sample:
Roxanne had known this was going to end messily, but she hadn’t known how messily. Her only saving grace was that tomorrow was the last day of term and she would be free, mercifully free, to go home and bury herself in her dancing again. But for the next twenty-four hours, she was going to have to face the people in the corridors. Everyone was looking at her, even the bloody teachers knew, for god’s sake.
It wasn’t such a big deal, she thought, so what if they were the longest-standing couple in Hogwarts, too-cute-to-function and just perfect for each other? So she was a home wrecker, what else was new? Besides, she hadn’t forced him to sleep with her, so it was as much his fault as hers. But people never remembered that. The judgement fell on the woman’s head. Roxie sat down in her transfiguration class angrily and slammed her books on the table, earning a sharp look from the professor. She glared back and proceeded to spend the rest of the lesson doodling on a spare piece of parchment. Who cares?
She could face their judgement, she didn’t care, she’d had her fun, gotten her own way. As per usual. She gave a satisfied smirk and looked around the room boldly. They were just jealous, really, weren’t they? That must be it. Stupid, ugly people with no chance at greatness. No wonder they were bitter and gossiping.

She forms friendships very easily with boys but usually means for them to go further. This means she either ends up with a friend ‘with benefits’ or a very awkward friendship. She much prefers the former.
Positive Traits:
- Charming –It is more or less her raison d'être to be a charming and attractive individual. Her charm is something she has cultivated to the point where she can switch it on and off as required. It usually takes of the form of a lot of subtle touches and small smiles, nodding along with whatever you are saying and laughing at jokes, no matter how bad they may be. Simple but effective.
- Gutsy –If she doesn’t immediately get what she wants, Roxanne is not afraid to reach out and take it, whatever this may require. She likes a good dare and rarely backs down, but at the same time she’s not going to do anything that’s not in her own best interest.
- Self-preserving- She has an instinct for looking after herself and keeping herself out of serious trouble, even if it means she has to jump ship in the process. Despite being impulsive and having a love of dangerous people and places, she has evaded serious consequences thus far.
- Ambitious – She wants to be famous, rich and loved. And she will do anything, and step on anybody, to get there. Her main ambition currently centres on the muggle world of dance and musical theatre. Her ambition often extends to 'conquests', men she desires, and she is no less zealous in getting them.
- Persistent – When Roxie wants something, she won’t stop until it is hers. This influences her attitude towards everything; people, her dreams, material desires, and she is quite happy to put everything else aside while she tries to get whatever it is she wants.
Negative Traits:
- Ruthless– Roxanne’s ambition and persistence often lead her down the path of ruthlessness and she can be very callous with other’s emotions and wellbeing when she has something she wants in her path.
- Shallow – Well, if you’re not beautiful, then why are you standing in her line of sight? She likes to surround herself with good-looking people and has very little patience for discovering 'innr beauty' in anyone.
- Single-minded – It can be quite difficult to get Roxanne to seriously consider any topic of conversation which she does not have a personal interest in. She will usually just pretend to listen instead and nod in a vacant fashion. It's a good idea to make her repeat back what you've just said if it's something important, as she's probably fantasizing about being famous while you're talking.
- Unreliable – You can arrange to meet Roxie at a particular time and place, but whether she turns up or not is a different thing entirely. Roxanne’s priorities are usually fairly set and day-to-day life is just a distraction. You may not be close enough to the top of her list to be worth her time.
- Impulsive and Reckless – Because she likes to grasp the nettle and take opportunities where she sees them, Roxanne is seen by some as a flaky and slightly dangerous individual. She protests that she’s merely an opportunist and likes to strike while the iron's hot whenever possible. She is dazzled by her dreams sometimes and will go ahead with risky plans if she thinks she's going to get something out of them.
- Vain- Roxanne is undeniably in love with her own reflection and can happily spend hours in front of a mirror, preening and primping.
Likes:
- Dancing: Pure exhilaration. All eyes on her. Perfect.
- Acting: Also known as lying, or pretending. Comes in useful in her day-to-day life as well as when she’s on the stage.
- Muggle music: She attended a muggle school of dance in London throughout her childhood and was constantly immersed in muggle culture during that time. Because of this, she has a deep fondness for muggle music. Particularly techno.
- Snakes: The most elegant animal, in her opinion. Siegfried the snake comes everywhere with her.
- Her cousins: Who could help but love them, strange bunch as they are. Roxie likes knowing she can depend on Rose to listen to her woes, James to punch those who gossip about her, and Lucy to brighten up everyone’s life with a bit of mischief.
- Candlelight: Flattering and mood-lifting, Roxie likes to scatter a room with candles whenever possible.
- Perfume: And lots of it, but it has to be the musky, sultry sort. Flowery just won’t do.
- Make-up: She doesn’t leave her dorm til she has her face on. This usually includes full eye-make up even just for school.
- Compliments: For all the obvious reasons.
- Bad boys: Roxie just can't resist a badboy, especially if its someone she knows is bad for her. She gets off on the danger and the thrill.
Dislikes:
- School: Pointless, since she wants a career in the West End. And she finds it hard to practice her dancing and acting while at school, but was shown the Room of Requirement in her first year by her cousin so that she could have somewhere to keep up her dance training.
- Rain: Ruins her hair, and makes her already tight enough clothing shrink.
- Tomboys: If you’re a bloody girl, then act like it. You’re just wasting your influence, otherwise.
- Gay boys: Useless to her, since she can’t attract them (she managed it once, but it was before he came out, so she’s not sure it counts).
- Furry Animals: They make her sneeze, and they’re smelly, so…
- Writing letters: Writing letters home and to her grandparents makes her feel all wistful and warm inside.
Patronus:
An Indian cobra. Venomous, but rarely actually bites. It opens its hood as a warning before it strikes. Roxanne is similarly fair in allowing her opponent a little while to contemplate their doom before she inflicts it.
