Pets:
Ernie the Tawny Owl: Ernie is slightly larger than your average tawny owl, and is spreckled from his head to the tips of his wings and legs. He has a deep copper beak, and is quite silly, for an owl anyway. He has large hazel eyes which may appear comical to some. He is normally a very friendly and accepting owl.
Wand Type:
Cedar, Dragon Heartstring. Great for Transfiguration and Defence against the Dark arts. Poor at the actual Dark Arts. 13 inches.
Appearance

Hair Colour:
Brown
Eye Colour:
Brown
Build:
Light and lanky. Skinny.
Skin Tone:
Average complexion. Doesn't stand out in any way.
Height:
About 6 feet
Dress Style:
Leon, in everyday life, dresses like a common muggle. He wears a jacket and t-shirt and jeans, with light trainers. He does not want to stand out, and thus normally wears darker colours, despite brilliant white being his favourite colour. His commonly worn white t shirts and shirts reflect this. He is commonly seen with headphones for his MP3 player, but not during Hogwarts term time.
Specifics:
Viewers will notice he is long and lanky, with deep brown eyes that seem both warm and compassionate (about what he is doing) and cold (to most events). His hair is relatively long for a male, and he seems generally laid-back and relaxed. He has long legs and arms, and large feet. He is also strikingly skinny. Leon's expression rarely ventures outside of either general apathy, or a lazy grin.
In Front Of Friends
Sexual Orientation:
Heterosexual
Self Image:
Leon, despite any signs of modesty outwardly, knows all his limits, and know they are greater than n average wizards. Much greater. He sees himself as an intelligent individual, but also recognizes his faults and flaws. In short, he knows himself, because he believes that knowing yourself is the first path to success.
To the Outward Eye:
Leon is generally perceived as a quiet yet pleasant individual. He keeps his feelings bottled up, and very few people could say they really know him. He is seen as being different and odd (Not Luna Lovegood odd, just not the norm). He is seen to be eccentric, and no matter how much he lets on otherwise, people see him as a know-it-all, but respect his intelligence.
Social Status:
Leon is quite simply, a social outcast. Out of his choice however, due to the fact he rarely talks or confides in people. He is generally perceived as a "nice bloke" but remains an outcast due to his unwillingess (or is it just pure laziness?) to interact with others, preferring to stay in the company of his own mind, and a good book.
Positive Traits:
Negative Traits:
Post at least five positive character traits here, and explain them.
Skills:
Skilled at schoolwork, Leon is able to obtain high marks in almost every subject with relative ease. This transfers into general spellcasting and magic also.
Despite being Muggle born, Leon shows talent on the quidditch pitch, if he were to work at it, rather than laze.
Likes:
Sleeping: He enjoys his rest, and tends to lie in alot.
Good food: APpreciates good food, and comments on it when he does. He has very refined taste buds, and a good meal always cheers him up.
Quidditch: Fascinated by the sport, being Muggle Born. Enjoys playing it greatly.
Chess/Wizard Chess: With a tactical mind, Leon is very good at chess. He enjoys playing it greatly.
Experimenting: Leon enjoys experimenting with various spells and the like. He hopes to create his own spells, become an animagus, and become a magical scientist of some sort.
Dislikes:
Loud Noises: Leon likes the peace and quiet of his own thoughts.
Bad Grammar: He has a pet peeve when grammar is used incorrectly, despite how many times he may do it himself.
Ice Cream: He can't comprehend how everyone likes it - he finds it too cold and strangely flavoured. Both Wizarding and Muggle ones.
People who think they are better than everyone else: In Leon's eyes, everyone is equal. He hates people who seem themselves better than everyone else for this reason.
Bad Dining: With a very refined set of taste buds, Leon sometimes refuses to eat low-quality food.
Patronus:
Falcon: Leon's desire to be freely spoken shows itself in the shape of a winged beast, as does his eccentric nature, as not many patronuses are flying creatures.
Boggart:
Leon fears nothing. Specifically, nothingness, as in the unknown. In life his intelligence has lead him to know many things, but that which he does not know, or cannot know, scares him. His Boggart takes on the form of a deep shadow, snhrouding the room.

History of Magic: Leon's worst subject. The lazy and long-sleeping nature of Leon is overwhelmed by the sheer bore of the subject. He has trouble remaining awake beyond the first 5 minutes.
Arithmancy: Leon's logical mind understands and comprehends the numbers in the subject perfectly, and allows him to do well.
Ancient Runes: Leon dislikes the subject, no matter how good he is at it. He has always despised languages, but it is an extra O.W.L
Care of Magical Creatures: Leon throughoughly enjoys this subject, due to the fact he likes animals. He excels at both the theory and the practical sections.
History:
Leon grew up for the first eleven years of his life in a small town in Northern Ireland. He was highly intelligent, learning to speak at a young age, and getting top marks in everything the muggle primary school threw at him. He was a scientist by nature, and intended to become a scientist of some description after university. His plans were going well, doing everything fantastically throughout primary school, until one day, over the summer between Primary 7 and First year, he received a visit from a Hogwarts Official.
The man explained everything to him, and Leon didn’t believe him without concrete evidence, at first. The man was able to show Leon with a wave of his wand, that magic was indeed real. Excited, Leon informed his parents he wanted to attend. It conveniently coincided with Leon’s father getting a new job at Oxford University. So the whole family moved to Englang.
After learning what he really was, Leon, in haste, bought everything he needed from Diagon Alley. His parents were very well off, and he was able to exchange muggle money for galleons at Gringotts with relative ease. He received his wand from the local wand makers, and purchased a tawny owl, before returning home for another month, before Hogwarts.
At home, he regularly read through all his books, and was quite practiced in the simpler spells before even departing for Hogwarts. When the time came, he packed up, and was on his way. Leon’s time at Hogwarts seemed to fly by. He worked hard (well, what he thought was hard) and reached his fifth year without a single detention, and a mass of house points earned for his cleverness. He was well on his way to doing well, with his O.W.L.’s looming, it seemed like he would pass with flying colours….apart from History of Magic.
Roleplay Sample:
Leon awoke from bed one morning. One perfectly ordinary morning. He sighed lightly and pulled himself out of his bed, and looked around. It was a Saturday somewhere in July, he didn't know exactly whereabouts, but dates mattered little to him. He pulled on a shirt and trousers and fumbled around in his room. Leon assumed today would be another completely average day, like the past five months since his birthday, and the two between his birthday and christmas.
He sighed again. Just for once, he wished something extraordinary would happen. Little did he know, this wish would be coming true within hours.
He yawned and walked down the stairs, only to find a strangely dressed man sitting in the living room, talking to his parents. Leon eye him suspicously through half-closed eyes. The odd visitor waved at him, smiling. Leon was taken aback. Before he could react, however, his parents beckoned him into the room, and his mother began handing around a plate of toast. Leon reached for a piece a began to nibble in deep thought. The visitor declined a piece, and then began to rely his business here to Leon, who was shocked to learn it concerned him.
The man explained that Leon was a wizard, a muggle-born one. He politely added "that means your parents are non-magical folk". He continued to explain the basics of wizard society, and about a school called Hogwarts, which he was a representative off.
"Hog...whats?" Leon asked quietly, but still a little taken aback.
"Hogwarts" replied the man, who continued to explain about who the school system worked. He further explained why he was here, that muggle born wizards like himself occasionally required more convincing that the place actually existed.
He went on to ask Leon has anything strange happened to him, that he couldn't explain? Leon recalled in his head, an incident where he was supposed to be given a vaccine injection, something he was petrified of. 3 needles broke before they finally succeeded in giving him the injection, and that needle broke afterwards, too. There was also the time he had to go swimming with his school, but his hydrophobia kicked in, and he didn't want to go, but was also too scared to tell people of his fear. Needless to say, the roof caved in, inexplicably apparently, over the swimming pool as they arrived. NO one was injured, by swimming was called off.
Leon nodded politely in response to the question, and then the man handed Leon a letter, with a deep red seal on it. He opened, to reveal a book and equipment list required for Hogwarts.
The guest stood up, and offered to help Leon get his school supplies from a place known as Diagon Alley. Leon was all for going with just his parents, upon discovering said Alley was in London. He agreed to travel there with the strange wizard.
A few days later he had arrived in Diagon Alley, with his book lists and a bag of gold he got from the exchange centre in Gringotts. He smiled and began pouring over everything he could see, from books, to robes, to owls and the like.
At first, he got all of the books he needed out of the way, and then he purchased a cauldron and robes. At last he entered the wand shop, and exited with a 13 inch Redwood, with Dragon Heartstring. He grinned and checked his money bag. He still had a relatively large sum of Galleons left. His parents had misinterpreted how much he would need. OH well, their loss.
He emerged later again from the petshop with a medium sized Tawny owl, whom he called Ernie. ALl set for school, Leon returned home with more magical aid from school representatives.
The summer months seemed to fly by after that, and he eventually found himself on Platform 9 and three quarters. He quietly boarded the train, being the very last one on, due to the fact that without any proper wizarding supervision, it had taken him half an hour to actually find the platform. The train lurched and began to move barely ten seconds after Leon had boarded. He walked down the length of the train and sat in the very end compartment, alone.
As he changed into his school robes, he heard people talking in the corridor. First years evidently.
"What house do you reckon you'll be in?"
"Gryffindor, I hope"
And with that, Leon was reminded about the houses that strange guest had mentioned. He pulled out "Hogwarts: A History", and began to read the section on the school houses.
After barely a minute, he had read it, and gave some thought to which house he would end up in. Gryffindor sounded like a good choice, but he doubted he was brave enough. Ravenclaw seemed quite likely, due to his high intelligence. Hufflepuff did not appeal to him at all, and he really doubted he would be in Slytherin. The book said Salazar Slytherin favoured pure-blooded Wizards. Leon was a muggle-born, and had no wizarding blood, that he was aware of anyway.

He is generally perceived as a "nice bloke" but remains an outcast due to his unwillingess (or is it just pure laziness?) to interact with others, preferring to stay in the company of his own mind, and a good book.
Positive Traits:
- Incredible Intelligence - Leon's best trait. He is in the genius section of IQ, both in the Muggle community and the Wizarding community. This is due to his constant attempts to furhter his limits coupled with a natural talent for being the "best". As he grew up, his parents always said he was brilliant and bright, and he never let them down.
- Calm - Remaining to himself most of the time, Leon remains unaffected by the world around him, to the point of seeming cold when he doesn't care about serious news. Leon is impossible to provoke, and no one has ever seen him angry. Despite this, he won't stand by and take punishment, he does stick up for himself and others, but remains perfectly calm about it.
- Patient - Time used to travel very slow for Leon, when he was still going to a Muggle Primary school. He had no friends, and little activities other than bettering himself. As such, he developed the ability to wait for incredibly long periods of times without barely so much as breathing. A very odd trait, but combined with his calm exterior, Leon is impossible to read or predict his next move.
- Kind - Despite his quiet and cold exterior, Leon is incredibly kind to all, even those who are beyond help. Leon does his best to avoid having to inflict any kind of pain, and if he does, he will try to make u for it in some shape or form. Inwardly, he is actually very compassionate towards life. Interestingly enough, his wand reflects this, and is poor at "the Dark Arts".
- Attractive - A combination of Leon's uncaring nature and natural good-looks make him a stereotypically attractive man, despite how many times he denies it or tries to pass it off. In Leon's eyes, it isn't a fantastic trait, and he doesn't believe it himself. That doesn't stop people thinking it, however. Leon has little trouble getting girls with this trait, but he rarely does. He feels himself above such things...for now, anyway.
Negative Traits:
Post at least five positive character traits here, and explain them.
- Lazy - Leon is incredibly lazy, preferring to do whatever comes, and only does what is needed. His intelligence allows him to get off with this during school. During days off he lies in to ridiculous times, and is almost always late for class. He calls this, being "fashionably late", but some teachers dislike it, even if he is only a few seconds late.
- Skeptical - Leon is extremely skeptical. Even though he may want to believe something, his logical side refuses to let him until there is substantial evidence to prove it. This part of him overrides any other part, and becomes mildly annoyed if people believe something that has no evidence. It has earned him more than a few enemies, yet he seems both oblivious and uncaring about changing it.
- Cold - Leon simply doesn't seem to care what happens, and people see him as cold, and he resents this trait, although he cannot get rid of it. THis is a result of his calm persona gone to the extreme - he doesn't show emotion. Despite this apparently being negative to others, who see him as heartless, Leon likes this trait, because he doesn't lose his head in stressful situations. This also makes him a highly successful liar.
- Show-off - Despite how many times Leon denies things, he can't help but show off his intelligence. He really does not mean to, but it just happens. Answering questions with ridiculously complicated answers, over nessacarily complicating matters for himself, yet still manages to do extremely well, and generally outshining people on tests. Needless to say, this is another reason some people dislike him.
- Need for Success - Despite his lazy nature, Leons parents always told him theres no future if you don't do well. Leon therefore puts all his efforts into doing his school work, before doing leisure activities (i.e sleeping), but still somehow has time for them later. This also stretches to an utter compliance of the rules, he doesn't want to make life harder for himself. And he couldn't be bothered to do a detention. SOme may see him as a "goody two-shoes", but this does give him high favour with the teachers.
