Age:
February 12th, 17
Gender:
Male
Year:
7th
Birthplace:
London
Ethnicity:
Caucasian
Nationality:
English
Blood:
Werewolf
Relatives:
Fenrir Greyback
Amelia Frenoni
Pets:
Pets? Yum.
Wand Type:
9 and 1/2 inches, redwood, stiff, phoenix feather. A 'cold' wand, precise and logical, although it doesn't exactly excel in any given subject, slightly good for Transfiguration, although not always the best for Charms.
Appearance
Picture:
Hair Colour:
Dark brown
Eye Colour:
Dark brown
Build:
Mikeal is muscular and broad shouldered. There is obviously a careful amount of attention paid to his body. Making himself stronger is something that the young man strives for. Pure, undeniable brute force. Then again, he doesn't exactly go crazy. No, Mikeal has not deluded himself in thinking he needs to be strong. Rather, he likes to be able to lift and toss someone with ease. Besides, intimidation tactics tend to encourage people to leave him alone.
Skin Tone:
His skin tone could be perfectly describe as dark tan. Though, this is probably because he enjoys spending much of his time outside. Naturally, Mikeal's tone would be much paler. His love of the outdoors is one saving grace.
Height:
Six foot five
Dress Style:
Mikeal has no outstanding or radical style to speak of. His clothes are his clothes. On the average day, one can expect jeans and a plain t-shirt. He has little patience for his appearance, so it's not like he goes out of his way to look nice. One occasion, one might find him wearing a button-up shirt, but that's as fancy as one is going to find. He always wears something under his robes, and frankly doesn't like robes very much. Formal wear is also something Mikeal has an aversion from. Anything stiff and stuffy simple irritates him.
Once thing he definitely is not is someone who wears any sort of make-up. Guys who like to put on eyeliner generally just alarm him, other than giving him an irrational desire to hurt them. Then again, he has that desire for almost anything.
Specifics:
Mikeal is broad-shouldered and very tall. Six foot five, in fact. He's also, quite frankly, probably going to beat you to a pulp, if you approach him. Thankfully, like a snake, there are several warning signs to be observed to tell you to back off. His eyebrows, thick and dark, always pulled down forward. They set off his hooded gaze, which frankly is more than enough to make most quiver with fear. And ah, his eyes, the most dangerous part about this slippery bloke. Like deep wells, one could almost believe him unmoved by anything. Cold, like a snakes. But one would be surprised how quickly his indifference can mutate, like some beast in primordial slime growing multiple limbs. Yes, one would be surprised how they can suddenly scrunch, pulling the whole face into a vicious sneer to send shivers down one's spine.
But ah, the lips, those are definitely one part of him that he can get into. They're somewhat thin, but that's fine, for they're just the right length. How quickly they can sneer, too! How easily they pull back in just they right way, expressing his emotions perfectly. Perhaps they stretch languidly, in a slow, drawn out smirk. Or maybe the upper lip twitches slightly, revealing minor irritation. Or perhaps the left end curls in a sneer than one can be confident to see most every day. But oh, watch out! For when his lips draw back to reveal all his teeth, the beast is out! Thankfully, those teeth are much better groomed than his fathers. Mikeal brushes twice a day and flosses once a day.
Well, now we've made it down to his chin! A fine chin, too, it is. It's hard and well defined, but not too square as to be unattractive. And, the jawline is always a plus. Easy to see, with little flesh covering the bone. Thanks to all those workouts, finding an inch of fat on our most moody man would be a task difficult for the average person. Not that one would want to go feeling up the man of the hour, though! He wouldn't like that at all.
Finally for his head, his hair. When it is allowed to grow long, one can expect thick, dark brown curls. A definite feminine feature that Mikeal used to be finicky about. However, it was bothersome to keep trimming it every week. Eventually, he decided that it didn't matter.
However, if one were to take off Mikeal's shirt (which would be hazardous for you health) they would find scars all over his torso, from the time he was first bitten. Great wounds come across his ribs, pink and puckering. However, none are on his belly.
Mikeal is definitely evenly built, with his upper body being the same length as his lower body. His legs he doesn't pay as much attention to as his arms (after all, he fights mostly with fists, not fight), but there is definitely some tough muscle under his skin.
In the end, Mikeal certainly isn't one to try and showdown in muggle fighting. Definitely best to keep one's head down and just walk on by this particularly specimen, unless one has a particular confidence in how quickly they can hex with their wand...
In Front Of Friends
Sexual Orientation:
Heterosexual
Self Image:
Mikeal has supreme self-confidence. In fact, he doesn't really care at all what other people think about himself. He sees his own weaknesses and strengths, and doesn't care. The young man knows he's intimidating, but doesn't mind it one bit. Frankly, he figures it encourages people more to leave him alone. He's absolutely fine with who he is, and is perfectly alright with how everyone else is, so long as they don't make any contact at all with him.
To the Outward Eye:
When one first looked at Mikeal, they would see an arrogant young man. They'd see someone who pulses with anger and resentment for, frankly, anyone who looks at him funny. He's a time bomb. Ticking away. One can't be sure who will be the one to draw the brunt of his rage when he's provoked. One may get away with something one day that would be swiftly punished the next. Regardless, it's usually a good idea to make minimal contact with Mikeal Greyback.
However, that isn't to say that everyone would avoid him. Certainly, just because he's large and strong, there are plenty would who voluntarily try to annoy him. Slytherins and Gryffindors are most likely cause an explosion from Mikeal. They tend to be more bold and confident, although it's usually only those near his age who dare come close. Mikeal is physically and magically more capable than most wizards and witches below the fifth year, after all.
Social Status:
Mikeal is a self-proclaimed loner. A self-outcast. He does not desire companionship, and seems only interested in taking care of himself. In his opinion, people are an inconvenience, to be tolerated only because they tended to be in great numbers. This is likely a deep-rooted trait inherited from Fenrir Greyback, who was known to loathe wizards and witches alike for how eagerly they shunned werewolves from society. Perhaps Mikeal's self-separation comes from the idea that 'if I reject them first, then they can't reject me'.
Positive Traits:
Negative Traits:
Skills:
There isn't much to be said that Mikeal is outstanding out. However, if one thought about it long enough, it would be dueling, both muggle and magical. Mikeal enjoys a lot of practice. Especially now that he can perform magic outside of school. In fact, often he considers joining a dueling club, since it's one of the few things he enjoys. But then, he rejects the idea. Mikeal doesn't like people, even if he does enjoy hexing them into oblivion.
Likes:
- Roses - a secret pleasure. They're pretty, but prickly. A combination he enjoys.
- Silk - a secret pleasure. He likes the feel on his skin.
- Muggle Dueling - cause there's nothing like punching someone in the face.
- Smoking - a desire he can't indulge.
- Cursing - a habit he refuses to break.
- Wand Dueling - it might be a hobby someday. Not as enjoyable as muggle dueling, but more acceptable.
- Scaring People - it's just fun.
- His lighter - a collectible cigarette lighter shaped like a dragon. Animatedly breathes fire.
Dislikes:
- Swimming - he can't do it.
- Questions of his scars - annoying.
- Talking about his past - see above.
- Talking to people in general - they're stupid.
- Flying - see: Boggart.
- Displays of weakness - cause when you cry, it's just embarrassing. Don't do it.
Patronus:
A jaguar. It resembles Mikeal in that it is powerful and sleek, but also independent and solitary. A predator that walks alone, and doesn't seek out other people. In fact, it is noted that they actually tend to avoid others. It seems to truly resemble the student.
Boggart:
Mikeal's boggart is flying and anything associated with it. It tends to turn into a broom which proceeds to lift him into the sky.
There is no reason behind this phobia. In his first year, he sat upon a broom and it lifted up, and up, and up. And all he felt was stark terror. Being so far from the stable earth, ready to fall at any moment, with only a stick to keep him there. He panicked and actually fell off his broom. The fractured arm from the experience has encouraged him to avoid flying and anything that does so. In fact, Mikeal never attends Quidditch matches, since he sweaty with horror, waiting for someone to fall at any moment. Just watching people fly makes him nervous. He also avoids muggle planes.

Report:
Mikeal doesn't seem to try. He rarely rouses interest in most of his classes, and more often than not doesn't do his homework. It is, frankly, not a lack of intelligence. Indeed, Mikeal likely could excel in class. It's just that he doesn't seem to care at all about school. He baffles some teachers, but generally disappoints everyone.
Personal Statement:
The only classes of note that he seems to take mild interest in are Transfiguration and DADA. Even just this small attention has made them stand out considerably in comparison to his other classes. However, the opposite is true. When Mikeal shows so little interest in something, the grade drops, as seen in Muggle Studies and History of Magic.
History:
Once upon a time, there was a man called Fenrir Greyback. He was not just a true Death Eater, but a werewolf, and leader of those in support of Voldemort. Some of his greatest accomplishments included turning Remus Lupin and making Charlie Weasley into a freaky raw meat eater. He was also known to have bad teeth. But that's not important right now.
What is, that once upon a time he met a woman. Now, we're not saying he ever loved her, but he darn did like and lust for her (which would of been a scary experience for most). She was pretty, to be sure. And oh, she was a former Slytherin. Not a Death Eater, but a firm supporter of Moldy Voldy nonetheless. After the final battle, Greyback was on the run for a long time, when he ran into the fox that took his interest. Unfortunately, it was a little too much interest.
Greyback loves children.
To eat? Maybe. But he managed to spare his own son. For sure. But, that didn't stop him from turning the little sucker, once he was old enough to take the change. Fenrir encouraged his son to attack people he didn't like. While Mikeal did grow to become aggressive and moody, he has managed to ignore the advice on changing as many people as possible. Fact of the matter, he usually drinks a potion to keep him sane during the full moon. Mikeal, unlike his father, didn't like other werewolves moving in on his status as top dog.
His mother died shortly after he was born. Mikeal barely remembered her, aside from a very nasally, annoying voice. He has strong reason to believe that his father killed her, although this is all based on his memory of the voice. It sure was annoying.
Raised by his father (which was a hell of an experience), it was just a few months before he was due to go to Hogwarts that Mikeal was bitten. Or rather, shredded. Fenrir often told Mikeal of when the day would come that he'd make his son a man. He said that Mikeal needed to have the strength of the wolf, to be vigilant and powerful. The old man trained his son physically and mentally, to become a perfect clone of the werewolf himself. A prodigy to take over the werewolf-turning business when the smelly older werewolf was long gone.
Rest be assured, it was the most horrific night of his life.
The teeth that ripped his skin, the claws that ground into his flesh, creating wounds that would surely cripple him for lip, surely leave him another tomb in the graveyard of those dead by Greyback's teeth. But no, Mikeal hung on through the night. It was his father's greatest challenge. He'd trained the boy to be superbly strong in body and mind. So he barely made it. But from then on, he would be... less-than-human. His emotions would be heightened, and he his father was regarded much more carefully than ever before. The man was a monster, he now realized.
Mikeal hates to talk about it, but it is burned in his mind, as clear as if it happened just moments ago.
It is such that when he got to Hogwarts, he was immediately hostile to all other beings, no matter their heritage. But no one could really tell he was putting an extra effort in for those special people that annoyed him, even if they never did anything to himself directly. Mainly because he seemed to be vicious to most people. The First Year amazed even older Slytherins with his nasty attitude. Eventually, people came to accept Mikeal, and learned that it was better just to avoid him and let him be alone.
While is just how Mikeal likes it.
Or so he said.
He passed through each year, gaining a reputation as a mean child, then a mean teenager. He was someone no one could approach. When he was a first year, he would even threaten someone three times his size, stoutly confident in his strength. Of course, people would laugh it off, calling him brave, or thinking he was joking. But Mikeal had meant every word of every threat, and this made people uneasy. It was in his third year that everyone soon realized Mikeal really wasn't messing around.
In his fifth year, that was the first time a girl approached him. She asked him to go to the Yule Ball with him, her eyes large and hopeful. Although Mikeal had watched this girl sometimes, wished she would talk to him, his immediate reaction was to say no, to insult her afterward, call her fat and ugly, saying he would never go out with such a cow. The Slytherin girl fled in tears. Mikeal immediately regretted all he said. He inwardly kicked himself, mourning his naturally nasty behavior. Why couldn't he ever get past that?! However, on the outside, his face was blank, his whole appearance withdrawn from the rest of the world.
He grew bitterer with every year, and soon longed for graduation, to escape the confines of civilization. Perhaps then he could be free from other people, whom he could not stand. But Mikeal knew he'd be more alone than ever if he found some place secluded. Even being able to insult someone was better interaction than none at all...

Family was a touchy subject for Mikeal Greyback. While most other topics would simply earn oen an annoyed glance, trying to talk to Mikeal about his own parents would warranted a Mike Tyson's Knock-Out punch. Fenrir Greyback was a very sensitive issue. While few understood the grudging relationship between the two werewolves, it was plain understood that any questions asked and there would be little mercy.
His mother was something he was softer on, since he barely remembered her. Granted, he'd probably turned out a little more violent than even she had expected. But then again, he'd been made a werewolf and his father was one of the most hated monsters known to wizarding kind. It was only natural that he become a bitter, angry man. Even fellow Slytherins gave him a wide berth. Messing with a Greyback would be the last thing anyone would desire to do. Unless they wanted their arms ripped out of socket, or to join the ranks of the furry.
Mikeal didn't seek other people out. For some reason, there was a stubborn few that insisted on trying to be his friend, on getting to know him. Even they wisely avoided the subject of his father. But the very fact he was almost stalked by some - especially a certain girl - drove the seventh year crazy. It was as if he couldn't find any peace. Everyone knew he preferred to be on his own. Alone, ignored, a presence that was easily provoked and therefore avoided. He didn't care about anyone's problems and would never unburden his heart to another. There was a strange sense of pride that prevented him from even thinking about his own troubles.
What he did with most of his days, few knew. Mikeal smoked, cursed, went to class, and perhaps stalked through the halls like a murderer on the prowl. In his free time, it was a mystery. The werewolf seemed to sometimes be around the dungeons, skulking about. At other times, he disappeared altogether, and no one could be sure where he had gone, or what he was doing. On the days before, during, and after the full moon, Mikeal seemed to become erratic and even would actively seek out a fight. He was like a woman on her period, having mood swings all day.
Sometimes, he could actually be friendly on the full moon, or perform a deed that was highly out of his normal, brooding character. At others, he was too angry, attacking someone simply for being a little too loud, or for coming too close to him. This unpredictability made him a poor prospect for a friend. That was the idea, of course. Some might guess that deep down, Mikeal did long for company, to have a group of friends. A 'pack to run with' in wolf terms.
Such suggestions would be denied and then the denial firmly backed with brute force.
Sitting in a corner in a hard-back chair, he fingered his favorite lighter. It was shaped like a Hungarian Horntail dragon. The most amusing part was one simply had to push down on the spiked tail to cause it to breath fire out of it's parted jaws. Pushing the switch, he made the dragon breath fire on and off again. While he did vaguely want to light up, Mikeal never smoked in the common room. Too many witnesses, not enough force to make them all stay quiet. While most assumed that he was a smoker, few had ever seen the werewolf with a cigarette first hand. Those that did were threatened upon torture and even death if they ratted him out.
Mikeal wouldn't actually kill anyone. He added the death part in for a joke.
Surprisingly, few found it funny.

Perhaps Mikeal's self-separation comes from the idea that 'if I reject them first, then they can't reject me'.
Positive Traits:
- Independent - Ever since he was just a wee lad, Mikeal has always been taking care of himself. He doesn't ask anyone for anything if he can get it on his own. In fact, sometimes Mikeal goes out of his way to make it so he doesn't have to rely on anybody else. Whenever he is offered help, Mikeal tends to become hostile, assuming the other person does not believe he has the skills to take care of himself. Standing strong and alone is something he takes a considerable amount of pride in.
- Self-Confident - One thing that Mikeal doesn't lack is self-esteem. It is difficult to make him doubt himself. He can't be pressured by his peers, because he tends to do what he wants. Insults bounce off him, and are ignored. He stands tall and says what he pleases without wondering whether people will accept everything action he takes.
- Courageous - Fear is something that Mikeal doesn't seem to acknowledge. Of course, he is only human. Of course Mikeal fears some things. However, conquering fear is something that the young Greyback accomplishes with ease. Like a Spartan warrior, he looks down upon cowardice, and respects those willing to march into battle, despite the hazards of death or dismemberment.
- Persistent - On the rare occasion that Mikeal actually sets a goal, he is an irresistible force. Without wavering, he will march onward and achieve what he must, despite all pain and problems. Pain, to Mikeal, is simply another temporary inconvenience, necessary to get where your going at times, but something to avoid if at all possible. Unfortunately, Mikeal is rarely roused to accomplish anything. Perhaps he perceives nothing worth pursuing.
- Intelligent - While Mikeal lacks motivation, that is not to say he doesn't have the mental capability to accomplish what he doesn't. If he applied himself, likely he would get better grades. However, grades an smarts have never been very important to him. Brute strength has always been something he acknowledges far more than the ability to brew a love potion.
Negative Traits:
- Anti-Social - Mikeal, plainly, doesn't like people. He looks down on everyone, and tends to keep to himself. When faced with a choice between being with people and being alone, he always chooses the later. Partner assignments are always something he dreads, for he had little patience with other people, no matter what house they're from. Smart mouth Slytherins, bossy Gryffindors, weakling Hufflepuffs, and, worst of all, know-it-all Ravenclaws.
- Stubborn - Making Mikeal do something he's dead set against is fairly impossible. Swaying his opinion is even worse. His persistence raises again in his resistance. Mikeal can be one of the worst people to have to work with, in that if he doesn't want to work, he damn well won't - even if he's the only one who can accomplish what needs to be done.
- Ornery - His irritability often acts as a buffer between Mikeal and other people. Quick to anger and take offense, the fury that seems to stew below the surface whenever he stalks about can be focused on other people. In short, he has the temperament of a bear.
- Rude/Blunt - Beating around the bush isn't something Mikeal does well. He saws what he means, and expects the same to himself. And, he tends to be very harsh in relaying his thoughts. Sparing feelings isn't something that the young man has often put into practice.
- Unreliable - Depending on Mikeal is a bad idea. He tends to do what he likes. If he feels like doing something then and now, he may not feel like doing it in the future. Or maybe he just won't remember. Regardless, Mikeal doesn't enjoy being a crutch for someone. He expected everyone else to be as lone ranger as himself.
- Foul Language - The cleanest mouth doesn't belong to this bloke. If one expected proper language, it won't be coming out of Mikeal's mouth. Expletives occur quite often, although they tend to be less common when in the presence of teachers. Then again, it may just seem Mikeal curses a lot because the only time he talks to people are moments when he feels like screaming the foulest things he can think of.
- Selfish - Mikeal takes care of himself. Caring for other people has never been his top priority. As said, they should be able to take care of themselves. He doesn't give, and doesn't expect to receive. In fact, often the large man is surprised when people actually go out of their way to be helpful or kind to him. And, right afterward, he wonders what exactly it is they want from him for their show of "good-will".

There isn't much to be said that Mikeal is outstanding out. However, if one thought about it long enough, it would be dueling, both muggle and magical. Mikeal enjoys a lot of practice.
