Gender:
Female
Year:

Birthplace:
Brussels, Belgium
Ethnicity:
Caucasian
Nationality:
Mostly Belgian, a bit French and Irish
Blood:
Half-blood
Relatives:
Sylvia Marie Stryker; Biological Mother
Jay Markus Flyte; Biological Father
Victoria Cynthia Stryker; Half-Sister
Pets:
While there have certainly been pets stranger than Bambi's, she likes to think that hers is quite unique. Bambi's companion is a small tame silver fox kit named Danger. The little male fox is a fuzzy thing that loves to cuddle. He's quite meek and gentle, which suits Bambi just fine. Danger prefers to nose around things and check out everything before he makes a decision; thus, he spends most of his time sleeping. Danger considers life very stressful with all the decision-making and whatnot, so he often takes a backseat in Bambi's bag/hood/pocket - whichever is big enough to hide him from the world, really. He's quite a tentative little fellow and doesn't like strangers too much, but if you treat him with a gentle hand and a few tasty tidbits, Danger will warm up to you quite quickly. Bambi doesn't like sharing Danger with many people, so most often she keeps him hidden while he snoozes.
Wand Type:
Birch with Unicorn Hair
Wand Description: Soft and light, one of the best choices for charms. In transfiguration, can be used mainly for renewing spells and is less useful for major altering of the object's structure. Also is very good for healing; especially for soothing, cleansing, and calming practices. It is also useful for providing help in the delivery of a child. Not suitable for dark magic or active spells, but can successfully dispel most harmful illusions.
Appearance
Hair Colour:
Her hair is a cacophony of colors are fighting for supremacy. Currently brunette is in the lead, closely followed by bleached blonde with pink coming in at a trailing last place.
Eye Colour:
Green; sometimes appear hazel in the right light.
Build:
Bambi is almost frighteningly slim, mostly because she spends a good deal of her time running. Whether it be from the various authorities in her life, for her sanity, or just to get away, Bambi is always on the move.
Skin Tone:
Her skin is a porcelain shade that is almost unnaturally pale. Due to spending the majority of her time indoors, Bambi doesn't retain much color.
Height:
5'5"
Dress Style:
Bambi enjoys large cardigans that hang off her almost skeletal shoulders. She likes feeling protected, and one of the ways she does is this is by wearing bulky layers and needless amounts of clothes. She's most often seen wearing a brightly striped or patterned tank top with a large black sweater over it, paired with tight jeans and leather faux-fur lined boots. If she's feel especially comfortable, she might wear a t-shirt or a dress, but usually she likes to bundle herself down with many-patterned shirts and sweaters. Bambi likes her denim - you probably won't see her in anything that isn't a pair of jeans.
Specifics:
Her jeans are usually torn. This in itself isn't typically noteworthy, but Bambi's keans are often torn beyond recognition of being actual jeans. They're little more than patches of denim and striped fabric that hold together the strands of pants that remain. Her jeans are so worn that they often have large holes in various places, covered haphazardly by hand with various pieces of patterned fabric. Bambi doesn't like to draw attention to herself, but she does love her pants. She wouldn't trade them for the world.
The second thing one might notice is her hair. Bambi likes to play with the color because she never quite feels comfortable in her natural state - hence the layering of clothes and her strange pants. Bambi likes to change things, perhaps to distract herself from what once was. Her hair color is ever-changing if only to remind herself that nothing is ever permanent.
In Front Of Friends
Sexual Orientation:
Heterosexual
Self Image:
Bambi is a stewing pot of self-loathing. Every time she passes a mirror, she quickens her step. Her body no longer feels as if it is her own, and she hates this. Bambi can't yet accept what happened to her when she was younger, so instead she buries herself in clothes and refuses to acknowledge her past. Bambi avoids talking about herself at all costs, because often times a bitter sense of resentment will leak into her voice. As much as everyone attempted to tell her it "wasn't her fault," she still blames herself. Though Bambi resents what was, she is beginning to come to terms with the past. With a few helping hands, she'll soon be able to move forward.
To the Outward Eye:
Others would most likely assume that Bambi is self important and egotistical; because, honestly, with a name like Bambi? You've got to be self-important to not have shot yourself by now. However, the opposite is quite true. Bambi is the epitome of self-sacrifice. She likes to put others before herself, but few bother to get close enough to truly know this side of her. This isn't the fault of others; the blame often falls on her own shoulders. Bambi is too nervous to let anyone too close, so her first impression is often her last. She'll often try to go out of her way to please others, which sometimes makes for a bad first impression as well. No one likes a kiss-up, though this isn't the image she tries to project. Bambi is easily malleable, but she takes it personally if she discovers that you've been using her for an ulterior motive.
Social Status:
Bambi is a social outcast of her own design. She doesn't like it when others get too close; it makes her feel very uncomfortable. Due to her best efforts, Bambi has successfully succeeded in ostracizing herself from nearly everyone at school. She's "that quiet girl" whom no one talks to - and she likes it that way. With no one close to her except Danger, Bambi is comfortable.
Positive Traits:
Negative Traits:
Skills:
Bambi isn't quite skilled in many things, though she does enjoy painting and drawing. She doesn't think she's very good, but there are some that would disagree with her. Her lack of confidence in her abilities prevents her from practicing this skill often, so she's not as good as she could be if she honed her abilities.
Likes:
- Danger, because he can't tell her secrets or be cruel.
- Quiet, because it gives her time to focus her scattered mind.
- Friendly people, because they help restore what little faith she has left in the world.
- Smiles, because they make her feel a modicum better.
- Rain, because the sound of rain soothes and relaxes her often racing mind.
- Peaches, because they're delicious.
- Animals, because similarly to her own pet, they don't tell secrets.
- Colors, because they brighten her day.
- Optimists, because even if she isn't one, an optimist always makes her feel better.
Dislikes:
- Rude people, because no one deserves to be treated badly.
- Indecisiveness, because even if she is indecisive herself, Bambi doesn't like it when people hesitate.
- Liars, because they're dirty, foul, terrible people.
- Jumping to conclusions, because a situation always needs to be evaluated three, four, maybe even six times before a smart decision can be made.
- Helplessness, because as often as she feels it, the emotion still makes her feel inferior and pathetic.
- Intimidation tactics, because they always work.
Patronus:
Bambi's patronus is a phoenix, symbolizing her uncanny ability to reincarnate herself even after her life's hardships. Though she may have wished her own death upon herself many times, she's always "come back to life." Though Bambi's soul has been trampled upon, spit up, and hung out to dry, somehow she always manages to recreate herself in a better and more positive way.
Boggart:
Her father. Bambi's biggest, most integrated and primal fear is her father. Not her biological father, but her mother's husband. Though she'd never admit what really happened, he raped her when she was ten and was directly involved with the destruction of her life as she knew it. Will be explained further in her history.

Report:
Most teachers consider Bambi expendable in class. She isn't especially good or academically inclined, but her notes are phenomenal. However, she rarely studies and is prone to dozing off during History of Magic.
Personal Statement:
Bambi enjoys the Care of Magical Creatures very much, as well as Charms, which is partly why she excels in both classes. Very little else manages to capture her attention, so she often does the bare minimum for her other classes.
History:
Bambi was born of a muggle woman and a renegade wizard, the product of a clandestine relationship. Her mother knew of her biological father's magical origins, but she laughed it off when he told her. She refused to believe such nonsense, even if he told her in all honesty. Bambi grew up without knowing her true father, raised to believe that her mother's husband was her biological father. However, things grew sketchy as she grew older. When she was born, her hair was a halo of blonde. It was believable for a while as both her parents were fair haired, but as she aged her hair darkened. Bambi became a dark brunette before the age of six. Questions about her paternity ensued, as both her parent's lineage contained a steady stream of fair haired, blue eyed genes.
From the beginning, her mother didn't have any interest in taking care of her. Her daughter reminded her of the mistakes she'd made and her own wayward ways. Rather than show her the normal affection a mother shows her daughter, her mother pushed her aside to try forget about her past mistakes. In doing so, her father followed suit. He wasn't entirely sure why his wife treated their daughter so, but he merely wanted to make her happy.
So she grew up estranged from her parents, watching curiously as they showered her younger sister with affection and they appeared to ignore her existence. Bambi found this hard to accept, constantly trying to draw her parent's attention to her by performing the most ridiculous stunts. She jumped from her second story balcony when she was eight, breaking her right leg and her left wrist. Bambi nearly died from blood loss, but luckily her sister found her before too much had been lost. However, the incident became focused once more on her sibling. After her parents were sure she wasn't going to die, they immediately refocused their attentions on her sister. They became concerned about the "traumatizing" effects of finding Bambi after she fell; blood everywhere, her bone protruding from her leg... It was truly grotesque, but they held not a modicum of pity for their injured daughter.
Bambi came to accept her parent's blatant lack of affection. Rather than perform any more stupid stunts, Bambi took a back seat to the golden child and stumbled through life as an under-appreciated shadow. Everything was about Victoria - absolutely everything! Bambi could not get a minute of peace without hearing her sister's name. When she was nine, Victoria broke her leg while jumping on a trampoline. Unlike Bambi's incident, this became the central point of conversation for the family for months to come. Bambi felt hurt and confused, but she didn't question her parents' motives.
However, things soon changed. When she was assigned a family tree project in fifth grade, she proposed an innocent question to her mother. "Mommy, why is my hair brown?" Her mother's face turned ghost white and she fixed her daughter with a cold glare. Bambi was her mother's single reminder of the brief hiccup in her marriage - a ghost that personified past mistakes. Waking up every day to see that face at the table killed her mother inside, and she'd take any excuse she could to get her daughter away; preferably as far away as possible.
The excuse came when Bambi was ten. Since the family tree project, Bambi's father got thinking. When he questioned his wife, she denied everything. Unable to cope with her explanation, he began to drink himself into a stupor. After this went on for quite a while, Bambi approached him meekly one Wednesday night. She had a question about her math homework, and rather than brush her off as he was prone to do, her father sat her in his lap and stroked her hair. Confused but elated at the attention, she yearned for more. However, she got far more than she bargained for.
As her father proposed one sick demand after another, Bambi followed through wordlessly. When he asked her to take off her pants, she complied.
After that night, Bambi's life took a downward spiral.
Unable to cope with the inane guilt that clouded her everyday life, Bambi confided in her mother what her father had done to her. Finding her excuse at last, her mother accused her of lying. Bambi continued to plead with her mother to believe her, but after her mother refused to acknowledge her demands, Bambi gave up. A week later, her mother confronted Bambi about her supposed lies, demanding an explanation. Finally, with salvation in sight, Bambi expounded her father's exploits onto her seemingly willing mother's ears.
When she finished her gruesome tale, her mother looked horrified. Bambi felt elated - at last, someone who believed her! However, her mother's look soon turned disgusted. She turned up her nose and promptly said, "There's something wrong with you."
A few days later, her mother proclaimed that she was being shipped to a mental institution in London. Shortly after arriving, one of her fellow inpatients convinced her of the existence of magic by levitating her pillow. As she grew more confident in her magical abilities, she and her fellow witch began pulling various pranks within the hospital. When she turned eleven, an owl broke in through her window and left a strange letter on her sterilized, hospital-issued desk. Shocked at the existence of such a school, she showed the letter to her similarly talented friend. Together they devised a plan to break her out of the hospital.
Once they succeeded, Bambi sent her mother a falsified letter from the hospital, notifying her of a boarding school that had taken a special interest in her 'talents' and 'abilities,' stating that she would be living there from now on. Bambi never received a reply from her mother, whom she assumed was beyond caring about the whereabouts of her daughter.
Bambi discovered Danger when wandering about on the train platform before leaving. He was nestled in a box with a messily painted sign above it that said "Free!" Concerned for his wellfare, she'd pocketed it him and that's where he's stayed ever since. Danger was her only companion as she stepped onto the train, and he remains her only companion today.
Roleplay Sample:
Holed up in the library, she felt comfortable surrounded by the smell of molding paper. Bambi slumped down in the uncomfortable wooden chair and relinquished Danger from his hiding place. She smiled absently at her ever present furry companion, stroking his silky fur gently. The fox pushed his head into his mistress's hand, making soft noises of approval. Bambi felt guilty that he'd been holed up in her pocket all day, but he seemed to forgive her. Once Danger was placated, and perused the selection of books laid before her. There were several manuals on the are of griffins, and a guide to thestrals as well.
Things like this had always fascinated her, and Bambi was anticipating an afternoon spent enthralled within the pages of the books. Her eyes scanned the covers greedily while she rubbed her fingertips together for warmth. Bambi always seemed to be shivering, even when it wasn't all that cold out. She huffed softly and buried her fingers within the folds of her scarf, yawning absently as she continued to read over the various covers. Bambi hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, though things like that never seemed to faze her.
Her fingertips now warm and filled with life once more, she removed them from her scarf and picked up Danger. The poor kit had begun to wander along the glossy tabletop, and Bambi feared he would topple off. She placed him in her lap and began to fondle her ears while she opened the first book. Soon she stopped paying attention to the curious fox and lost herself within the fine print.
Danger peered up at Bambi curiously, kneading his paws on her thigh momentarily before scrambling up her scarf and onto her shoulder. Startled, Bambi glanced back at the small fox and widened her eyes. Danger, however, had already curled into a ball on her shoulder. She smiled lovingly and reached back to stroke his spine. It wasn't long before the fox kit drifted off to sleep and Bambi focused her attention once more on her book.

- Aspiring - Bambi wishes for nothing more than to be better than what she is. Her only goal is to improve upon herself so that she isn't so much of a burden on others, as she sees herself now. She aims to do this by excelling in her subjects and becoming more friendly, which is an epic challenge in itself for the introverted girl.
- Self-reliant - She can do it - and she doesn't need your help. One of Bambi's core personality traits is her chronic mistrust of others. On the flip side, this has made her extremely self-reliant. She's able to accomplish most small and big goals on her own, simply because she's so terrified to ask for help.
- Courteous - Bambi may not like other people, and she may not trust them, but she is quite respectful. No matter how much she may hate you, she'll answer you with a smile. Bambi hates to start fights, so she'll often choke her adversaries with honey-coated words and kind deeds. As this often confuses her enemies, Bambi has gotten a reputation for being vapid and oblivious - simply because she doesn't fight fire with fire.
- Honest - Liars are something she despises. Telling a lie makes her feel physically sick. Bambi is almost incapable of telling a believing a lie; either her imagination will get away with itself and the tale will become far too fanciful to take seriously ("My homework is missing because my fox snatched it off my desk, carried it out of the room and soaked it in water before throwing it out my window! I swear!"), or simply because she gets a vaguely ill look on her face and stops herself before she completes her falsity.
- Caring - Despite her blatant distrust of almost all people, those whom she holds close to her heart are treasured greatly. When she finally feels comfortable with someone, Bambi is affectionate and sweet. She'll always put their needs before her own and become exceedingly accommodating. Once someone becomes important to her, Bambi makes it her business to see that they are always content and happy, even at her own expense.
Negative Traits:
- Volatile; erratic - Bambi rarely plans things ahead of time, and often things go awry. She gets angry when things don't go according to plan; whether it be at herself, those around her, or an inanimate object... when Bambi's anger is piqued, you better duck for cover.
- Lack of self confidence, insecure - She depends on others to feed her ego. Bambi is incapable of feeling good about herself or secure on her own. She used to keep a list of compliments that people gave her during the day in her pocket, but has stopped over time.
- Suspicious; mistrusting - Bambi is hesitant to trust most everyone. She doesn't like the idea of depending on someone else because more often than not, they'll let her down. Bambi finds it exceedingly hard to place something important in the hands of others; be it a personal possession or a secret, she likes to keep things to herself.
- Unfocused - Though Bambi spends the majority of her time concocting fanciful plans and schemes, very little of her time is spent actually carrying these plans out. Very few of her elaborate blueprints ever actually leave the confines of her imagination.
- Fearful - Stemming from her primal suspicion of others, Bambi is also perpetually afraid of what's going on around her. She can turn the most light of situations into a dire plot to end her life. Every day is just another round of World vs. Bambi in her twisted psyche.
Skills:
Bambi isn't quite skilled in many things, though she does enjoy painting and drawing. She doesn't think she's very good, but there are some that would disagree with her.
