7th year.
Birthplace:
London, England.
Ethnicity:
1/2 German, 1/4 English, 1/4 Italian.
Nationality:
English.
Blood:
Pure-Blood.
Relatives:
Father: Aliec Wiedman
Mother: Beatriz (Reichmann) Wiedman
Older Brother: Dominik Wiedman
Uncle: Alexsander Wiedman
Pets:
Dazmond has a female rat named Chloe. She's all black, soft, and shall we say well-fed. Chloe has grown up with Dazmond and is, as a result, every bit as laid back as her human counterpart. Daz has no problem bringing her rat just about anywhere; usually all Chloe wants to do is sleep and be close to Dazmond. She can typically be found in Dazmond's hood or pocket, or up on her shoulder when outside of class.
Chloe is a patient and compassionate rat, at least with Dazmond. Generally anyone that's close to Dazmond can get along with Chloe, but if a stranger tries to handle her she'll probably bite them. Otherwise, Chloe is very mellow. She's trained to not releive herself on Dazmond; usually she'll nibble on Daz's skin when she has to go, and the two will coordinate something. She's a fairly intelligent rat.
Chloe also likes very much to build nests, and no parchment is entirely safe from her chattering maw. To prevent her from using her homework, which has happened on multiple occasions, Dazmond tries to give her special things to tear up. There's a large collection of shredded trash under Dazmond's mattress where Chloe likes to hang out when not with her favorite human.
Wand Type:
Elder wood with a core of ashwinder ash, 11 inches. Steady, firm, and strong. Best with spells of protection and charmwork. Good with hexes and dark or ancient magic.
Appearance
Picture:
Hair Colour:
Black. Shocks of crimson. Dazmond brews potions for her hair quite regularly; sometimes she uses other colors to augment her raven locks, but it's usually scarlet that she goes for.
Eye Colour:
Bluish-green with a hint of gray.
Build:
Short, thin, slightly muscular.
Skin Tone:
Fair.
Height:
5'
Dress Style:
Dazmond likes bold colors because she enjoys standing out from the crowd; she loves the attention. For this reason she tries to find more eccentric robes and cloaks, scarves and gloves. A simple black, traditional witch's outfit goes a long way, if tailored properly, but Daz also likes flashy garb in purple, turquoise, orange, and red. Because she likes to make a scene, Daz will even wander into muggle London to go clothes shopping at the more avante-garde retailers (assuming she has a means to get her hands on muggle money). She has no desire to imitate muggle fashion, and her clothes of choice would probably be considered strange to muggles as well as witches and wizards, in such a case.
Dazmond likes to look sophisticated, if not a little wacky. Therefore, even the strangest get-ups are put together with some tact; she finds it important to present herself well. She comes from a fairly well-to-do family, and her own exploits equip her with a fair amount of galleons, so she does tend to buy some of the best fabrics tailored specifically for her when she can. Dazmond prefers well-fitted clothing. She doesn't like to be baggily clad.
Another aspect of Dazmond's wardrobe is her collection of gloves. She has a wide array in different materials for brewing acrid potions and for working with dangerous plants.
Specifics:
Dazmond is incredibly tiny; she stands only five feet tall and is skinny to boot, though she's still a little war machine. That is to say, of course, that her aura takes up a vast amount of space, far outside the scope of her small frame.
The first thing many people notice about Dazmond is her hair. She's a fan of home-made hair-care potions and, as a result of her fail-safe cauldron skills, her locks are well-taken care of, voluminous, and as colorful as her abstract garb. Most often Dazmond sticks to her signature blood-red streaks; sometimes she changes them to suit her mood.
Daz sports a vertical labret piercing and several ink spells, mostly located around her upper arms. Most notably she has a rainbow marked around her right bicep.
In Front Of Friends
Sexual Orientation:
Bi-sexual.
Self Image:
Dazmond has a positive self-image. She believes that it's her god-given right to be the star of the show. She doesn't push this, it's just an expectation. Dazmond is rather conceited and self-centered; the way she sees it, she deserves to have it her way. Dazmond also believes that she can do anything she wants. Dazmond sees herself as driven and independent, which is probably why she frequently refuses help when it's offered to her.
Wiedman's superior, self-centered, and even egotistical existence is marginally offset by her expression of earthiness. This aspect makes up a large part of Dazmond's self-image. She sees herself as well-dressed and feminine, a Venusian warrior, but only as it's tempered with dirty fingernails from a day's romping in the woods.
Dazmond considers herself to be tied directly to the plant spirits she works with, a part of some higher divine plan associated with her potions. She is the wise old crone potionsmaker, soon to be the best the wizarding world has ever seen.
To the Outward Eye:
In one word, superior. Those who are shy in disposition might find it intimidating to approach Dazmond. Although she isn't nasty or mean, she does seem to be sort of off-limits to most. This is most-likely a result of her high level of confidence and her ferocious inner drive.
Dazmond is seen as being very grounded and earthy; which is natural after all, for she is found mostly in the greenhouses or in the potions room even after class. Those who are confident enough to get close to Dazmond can benefit from her knowledge in these areas; though they shouldn't expect her to offer up all of her secrets.
To most, Dazmond is seen as being a dedicated and focused student, though this is most notably matched with an undercurrent of some darker aspiration.
Those who are interested in the dark side of the spectrum might find in Dazmond an enigmatic comrade. Daz tends to gravitate toward individuals who are interested in ancient dark magic and black market trade. Those who know her well know that she enjoys brewing potions that are not necessarily legal, and they know if they have a need that they can approach Dazmond; she may very well be able to assist them.
Social Status:
Dazmond chooses her friends carefully and is not won over easily. Generally she needs to be impressed. She tends to associate with a small and select group; this behavior could be construed as elitist. Dazmond is a presiding figure wherever there is mischief, so long as it involves gain on her behalf. This would almost always involve brewing a potion in exchange for something -- ingredients, galleons, artifacts, and sometimes books. Of course, her fellow students are limited in their ability to procure truly villainous offerings, so she is not above trading for favors. Dazmond capitalizes on opportunity, and that is primarily what she is known for amongst her chosen crowd.
Other students aspire to Dazmond's status; because she is in a sense off-limits and entirely confident, she creates for herself the visage of a god.

Patronus:
A racoon. The fierce but beautiful little bandit who has her hands in absolutely everything.
Boggart:
Dazmond's boggart always takes the shape of herself, dressed in rags and surrounded by screaming infants, in an indoor setting. Usually she sees herself scrubbing some surface clean; the children are all sick and clinging to her, begging her for something, but Dazmond is too wrapped up in her own despair. This chaotic scene represents Dazmond's fear of becoming a housewife, of marrying at all and definitely of having children. It may seem an odd boggart to most, but it is genuinely terrifying to Dazmond, who sees it as the ultimate failure.

Report:
Dazmond is a focused and resourceful student. She is diligent in getting her work done in class, and rarely bothers with the other students. Daz has been accused on multiple occasions of being the "teacher's pet," because she knows forming a connection with her professor will move her forward, much more than mindless chatter with her peers.
Personal Statement:
Dazmond is in her seventh year, which means that the classes she is taking now are refined for her interests and strengths. She's a potions nut plain and simple. Potions and Herbology have always been her foremost passion. Astronomy and Arithmancy are helpful in the art of potionsmaking, which is the only reason that Dazmond continues to work hard in those subjects. In previous years, any class not geared to her tastes would receive little of Dazmond's energy. She's a firm believer in choosing one's own way, and misc. subjects are simply a waste of her time.
History:
Dazmond was born and raised just outside of London. Her family is of pure-blood and has a spacious, hidden cottage on the outskirts of the city, nestled in a patch of woods. There are several complicated protections in place to guard against muggle infiltration. The Wiedman house has been passed down through three generations; originally it was a farmstead for magical plants founded by Dazmond's great great grandfather who migrated to the United Kingdom from Germany. The estate is on twenty-three acres in the center of a clearing, surrounded on all sides by thick foliage and tall trees. It is necessary for one to navigate in or out by floo, portkey, or apparition. It is still home to five large and flourishing greenhouses and many nefarious and charismatic forms of plantlife.
Dazmond in her youth was surrounded by rich folklore and mythology passed on to her from her uncle, Alexsander, who lived with the family from shortly before her birth until she was six years of age, when he married an English witch and moved to Devonshire. He inspired her voracious appetite for books and compelling stories, which later in her life morphed into the desire for adventure. Her parents and uncle lived through the first and second waves of war and have passed on tales which fascinated Dazmond at an early age. Her family had strong leanings toward the dark side of the spectrum, but their history is more concerned with Black market trade than direct involvement with the dark lord.
The key influences of Dazmond's childhood were primarily male; her uncle's tales of adventures, her father's logical and analytical intelligence, and her brother's laid back

How you found Hex:
It's actually sort of funny.... I was helping a friend brainstorm a name for her new site (the site we've adminned together for years seems to have bitten the bullet). I really loved the name "Salvio Hexia." Someone informed me that they did a search and found that it was taken; they posted a link and I came to check it out. Lo and behold I was very impressed with the layout and the "Before We Begin" board. This is the first site other than the one I came from that I've ever applied for. Scary.... It seems very promising though. Good job!

Other students aspire to Dazmond's status; because she is in a sense off-limits and entirely confident, she creates for herself the visage of a god.
Positive Traits:
- Ambitious - Dazmond is a true entrepreneur. She is driven fervently forward, and practically everything she does is with an eye toward her lofty, ultimate goal: to be the best potionsmaker the wizarding world has ever seen. Dazmond is not above doing practically anything to get what she wants.
- Independent - Dazmond has a strong sense of self and believes that she can achieve anything she sets her mind to. She doesn't need help or love to get her there; she can depend entirely on her own intelligence and skill. Dazmond is a natural born leader and cannot be governed easily.
- Intelligent - Dazmond is quick-witted, sharp, well-spoken and discerning. She believes that knowledge is power, and she pursues both with fervor. Dazmond also reads a lot of books in the belief that their secrets might propel her forward.
- Charismatic - Daz can be a devil with flattery; she knows it, too. She's a charming little faye at times, and she works it in her favor whenever possible.
- Clandestine - Dazmond has a way of getting what she wants. She is fearless enough to reach out and grab it, but smart enough to take the back streets.
- Passionate - Dazmond, being fiercely independent and ambitious, keen and discerning, has her eyes on an ultimate goal. Dazmond is sincerely passionate about the power of potions, the act of brewing, having her hands plunged in soil, relating and working compassionately with plant allies... and this leaning is evident. To all, the most obvious thing about Daz is her passion. She hardly pursues anything that does not inspire in her an intense fervor.
Negative Traits:
- Impatient - Outside of potionsmaking, Dazmond cannot be bothered with wading through long periods of gestation. Wasting time is abominable to her, and she is often impatient with individuals and situations that are beyond her control. This manifests in flightiness, foot tapping, anxiety, and in some cases bossiness.
- Impulsive - Dazmond jumps into impossible situations for cheap thrills. She's quite the adventurer and rarely considers the consequences of her actions when she is blinded by the prospect of danger and chance.
- Judgemental - Daz expects everyone else to be as ambitious and hardworking as she is. Because she believes that she is superior to the bulk of her peers, she judges unfairly and often operates from her first impressions of an individual or group. If she is not immediately impressed, she forms unfair opinions and will usually stick to them.
- Capitalistic - Dazmond will benefit off the losses of others if she can. In this manner she can be immoral, capitalizing at the expense of her competitors or merely some unsuspecting individual who finds themself in her way.
- Controlling - Dazmond needs to be in control -- of herself, of her destiny, of her present operations. She can be bossy or controlling with others as well. She'll try to tweak situations and individuals to her bidding, through flattery and whatever other means available to her.
Skills:
- Potionsmaking - Dazmond is skilled not only in following recipes without fail, but also in creating her own for a specialized reaction.
- Herbology - Dazmond works incredibly well with a diverse array of plants; she has an affinity and generally knows how to handle them.
- Leadership - Dazmond is fearless and ambitious; she can assume a leadership position in practically any circumstance.
- Quidditch - Although Daz would never play for a team (it would take up too much of her time), she is a rather skilled beater. She enjoys hitting bludgers with her brother Dominik during the summer; the two have done so since she was a little girl.
- Duelling - Unlike Quidditch, Daz would likely join a duelling club at school. She is a formidable opponent, but because she focuses more on potions and plants, she could be a lot better with her wandwork.
Likes:
- Bottles - Dazmond enjoys shopping for a wide array of strangely shaped and colorful glass bottles. Her collection is ever-growing and she has almost a fetish for it.
- Forests - Daz loves to get dirty and romp through the woods. She enjoys wild-crafting herbs in the woods, communing with the silence of the trees and plants, and coming across unexpected adventure.
- Ancient artifacts - Dazmond loves coming across rare and ancient artifacts from distant wizarding civilizations or other races (goblin-wrought silver, for instance). She especially likes it when they're actually worth something, but she likes to have them pass through her hands.
- Knockturn Alley - Daz absolutely loves sneaking around the seedy alleyway with all the wizarding world's rejects.
- Business Associations - Dazmond likes the feeling of importance that arises through a business partnership, especially of the darker sort.
- Doughy Confections - I can't say exactly why, but Daz loves pancakes, french toast, croissants, and all other pastries almost fanatically. She'll eat pancakes every day if possible; she prefers them to not be cooked all the way through -- left battery, if you will.
- Ancient books - Disintegrating books written in old English with ancient spells really turn her on. Especially old Potions textbooks or herbal catalogs.
- Severus Snape - She's studied him closely and has found in his personal history a bit of a personal hero, mostly in his aptitude for potions and his darker leanings.
Dislikes:
- Most people - As a result of her judgemental qualities.
- Goblins - Oddly enough, they're her one of her worst fears.
- Muggles and Squibs - There's not really any hatred there, just a general dislike and repulsion. There's something wrong with them, right? Daz grew up in a pureblood family and never bothered to take muggle studies. She has a very warped view of muggle cultures as a result. She thinks they're just inept and genetically deformed.
- Meat - Daz doesn't generally like the texture or taste of meat. She tends to avoid it and scarf down the vegetables instead.
- Pretty, fluffy, warm and fuzzy things - Daz gets a bad taste in her mouth when confronted with cheesy happiness.
Patronus:
A racoon. The fierce but beautiful little bandit who has her hands in absolutely everything.
Boggart:
Dazmond's boggart always takes the shape of herself, dressed in rags and surrounded by screaming infants, in an indoor setting.
