That sounded a bit, well, she didn’t really know, but it sure didn’t sound right. Like either he was just saying it to make the place sound fun, or there was actually a group of strange eternally fifteen year old vampires lurking in a group that knew everything about her and just... yeah, creepy.
Still, it was just a typical invitation until the man warned that Lenora would have something to say about them. She knew Lenny, and trusted her. She trusted Dacian too, most of the time, and his advice had always been to be cautious and now seemed as good a time as any to start. What was the place really about if Lenora was going to have reservations about it?
But then again, both Dacian and Lenora were a bit on the paranoid and antisocial side of the spectrum. Vivian had also promised herself she wasn’t going to become like them and this man seemed ni— Yes, ‘seemed’. He was trying to sell something so of course he seemed nice.
The Three Broomsticks? Yes, that worked. Nice and public. Vivian quickly gave a thought over as to how it could be used for a trap or something, but the fact she was even considering it was a little stupid. If the man wanted to kidnap her somewhere there was absolutely nothing stopping him from doing that right here and now.
All this sounded... surprisingly reasonable. Something she hadn’t come to expect from many other vampires lately. Vivian shuffled her feet nervously. A month? He was willing to hang around for a month? Yikes. She couldn’t have that. She’d feel awful!
“Will you be there tomorrow?” she asked quietly, starting to second guess her decision before the words had even finished coming out of her mouth.

He could see her working through it. He pitied her. She was young, and any big decision at this age would affect the rest of her life. The idea he was proposing would not only change one lifetime, but many of them. Well, living with a coven drastically improved her life expectancy, young rouges didn’t last long. He waited while she thought, no sense of impatience about him.
He gave a nod to her quiet enquiry, his half-smile encouraging. She was starting on the right course of action. “Yes, I’ll be there tomorrow. By all means, ask Lenora about us, but I’d keep this from your mortal friends for now, I don’t wish to worry them with my presence. Lenora will sense my presence soon enough, but please take her words with a pinch of salt, she won’t be flattering. She’s rouge, and has never been with a coven. When you visit me, I can tell you more about her, and Dacian if that’s what you want.” He added the last with a soft edge to his voice.
That would be amusing. Dacian was typically secretive and kept himself to himself. While Vivian thought him dead, enlightening her on some of his old habits and escapades would undoubtedly annoy the younger male vampire and hopefully give Vivian insight into her sire’s life. Dacian might have had more luck convincing Vivian to leave this place if he exposed more of his emotions. Samuel suppressed a sigh. That boy needed to get out of the medieval age.
“I’ll let you on your way now, Vivian. I’m sorry to have surprised you. I shall see you tomorrow night, then. Dobroj nochi.” Winking, the vampire turned and made his way down the street, footsteps quietly echoing off the stone buildings. *Dobroj nochi = Goodnight

Dacian never told anybody anything. Hell, she didn’t even know that there was a wizard trying to kill him until she found out by accident, and that was something she’d consider to be on a need to know basis. What did Sammy and the coven know that she didn’t? Well, probably a lot more, because Dacian seemed to trust her like he trusted a suspicious soup from Edward, which was really bloody unfair as he’d gone and turned her and everything.
Keep it from her mortal friends. Hrrm, as much as she liked to keep everybody informed, perhaps he had a point on this. Ed would only worry and so would Scotty and that was no good for anyone. She was big enough to do things without being constantly monitored now right?
Vivian almost jumped when Sammy bid her goodnight in her native language. Before she could stop herself she’d replied the same and watched him leave with a bit of bewilderment. He knew Russian? The link back to her home country, if even only small, had her warming up to him more immediately. There was a familiarity about it. And, again, he did seem like a nice guy.
All of this was going to make her head spin. And, perhaps, more confused than she had been for a while, Vivian turned back for the Hogs Head for the night. She was going to have a lot to think about.
