(ooc- I hope I'm not assuming too much by saying she went through him. I would love that scenario!)
Oh Thaniel loved it when people walked through him. Until now it had mostly been muggles who didn't see him and then he got to watch them suffer horribly after. One muggle woman walked through him in his home, cried for weeks, had to seek therapy and refused to ever go on the third floor again. That wasn't even the worst reaction he'd ever seen.
But this girl was bold enough to got through him on purpose. She would be in for a shock if she were of a delicate nature. Walking through him could almost be like getting a kiss from a dementor. Well, a bit more like an air kiss from a dementor but the sadness was still there, even if it was a whisper.
Thaniel closed his eyes as he felt her warmth for the second it lasted. It was a little intoxicating, especially when it was a girl. He bit his lip and when it was all over, he spun on his heel to face her.
"You're a brave one, Gryffindor. Would you be bold enough to try that again?"

Siren watched the ghost's interaction with the girl in amusement. "You crave warmth, and yet, you scorn those who come near you for a simple mistake," she murmured softly, looking into his pale face. "What a walking contradiction."
She reached out and, in interest, ran the tip of her finger along his neck. "Can you actually feel?" she questioned, her eyes bright with obvious interest. "I'm not trying to be rude," she added, to forestall any offense that this moody ghost might take to this statement, "just curious."
She studied the smoke-like body, as though only held together by wisps of noise and matter. "It must be a terribly odd state of being," she added.

Okay, Vivian already knew the feeling was going to be strange, but how strange she had absolutely no idea. The bucked of ice sensation was dead on and she could feel all the hairs on her arms prick up in protest at the sudden chill, which seemed to sink down to penetrate every major organ there was. What she wasn’t expecting was the sudden inability to breathe; it was as though her chest was suddenly constricted. Vivian came out of Thaniel’s back a shade paler than usual with a loud gasp that was partly want for air and part shock at the subzero temperature of what might be called his body.
At least she had been expecting it, she didn’t get the feeling she’d appreciate stepping into one by accident. It would be enough to give anyone a heart attack.
The sudden despair on walking through was, admittedly unusual. No reliving of a worst memory, just as sudden, acute feeling of depression that quickly faded as the much warmer room temperature reversed the effects. Perhaps it only came with those who had suffered significantly violent deaths or something? She felt almost contaminated now.
Not something she was doing again voluntarily if she could help it, she was going to be feeling weird for a while.
”I’ll pass,” she replied curtly with a backwards glance that revealed she was looking more than a little shaken, and now feeling extremely unwilling to hang around any longer more than ever, she gave a nod to the Ravenclaw in recognition and continued walking down the passageway to the common room as fast as possible without looking like she was running to escape the ghost. ||OoC|| Exit Viv then, unless anyone wants to stop her. ||

(ooc- I do want her back but I'm stuck for a natural way for Thaniel to call her back. Maybe Siren has a way.) (ooc- Sorry for the confusion. I do want her back. But I guess you all got that. I hate it when I make typos.)
It tickled when the Ravenclaw put her hand in the back of his head. He fought the urge to giggle a bit. Her touch was just hitting the right spot. He didn't even know it was possible for him to giggle. But he couldn't giggle right now. He was being very stern to the Russian girl at that moment.
He held in a laugh, for fear it would turn into a giggle, when the Gryffindor scampered off. It was clear she was feeling the despair quite heavily. That would serve her right for galloping down the halls in a clumsy manner and not giving a care abouy those around her.
The hairs rose on the back of Thaniel's neck. In life he'd been ticklish there. Lumina knew that and always took advantage.
He spun on his heel and then reeled back so her fingers couldn't go through his face. He didn't want her aware that she may have found a weak spot on him.
"Do any of you little brats have names? What was hers and what's yours?"

| ooc - I'll have a shot at it. | "I think you upset her," Siren commented calmly, watching Vivian go. "No worries, he's full of it!" she called after the Gryffindor, hoping on some level that she'd come back. She didn't necessarily want to be alone with the ghost. "He certainly can't hurt us, at any rate."Shrugging, she turned back to the ghost. "I'm not a brat, and the name's Siren," she added, lip lifting in a slight sneer. "I can play your stupid Slytherin games. The hat nearly put me there, I must have some of the qualities you possess. We might even be quite similar, you and I. Both determined to keep people at arm's length...but both okay people, deep down."She surveyed the ghost before her, and then her lips quirked in a smile. "I could have sworn you nearly giggled just now," she said, fighting the larger smile that threatened to overcome her features. "Ticklish?"

"I did not giggle and I'm in no way ticklish." He was thrown. How did she pick that up. He thought he was hiding it and well but she'd completely picked up his vibe. He'd lived alone for so long and had no one to talk to but cats that perhaps he was giving off tells that he was ticklish.
Now he was just disgusted with Siren. She thought she understood Slytherins? Obviously she wasn't good enough to be one if she was shuffled off to Ravenclaw.
"And I'm not playing any games with you." He attempted to change the subject. "If I were the game would 'Who is the most annoying student at Hogwarts' and you would be winning." He frowned at her and kept a sharp eye on her wiggly fingers. All he needed was for that to get out that he was a ticklish, giggling fool of a ghost.

Siren scowled at the ghost, crossing her arms over her chest. "Look, I'm actually having a shot at being nice. Ghosts interest me. You interest me. There's no need to get so irritated and think I'm harming your Slytherin pride. Trust me, my intricacies can't be bothered with that." She glanced over her shoulder, noticing that Vivian had disappeared from eyesight, and sighed heavily.
"It's not like I'm going to go shouting to the world that you're ticklish," she continued, looking straight into his face. "We all have our weak spots. I have plenty of them. Show me a pretty flower and I swoon like a three-year-old. It's okay to be ticklish in the most ticklish region of the human body. It's absurd to be irritated about that. It's not like people usually touch you there, anyway."
She sighed again, huffily, and took out her wand. "If it makes you happy, I can levitate all the freaking coins in the world you want," she told him. "I just want to know a few secrets about ghostdom. Swear to Merlin it'll be worth your while. I'm very apt at finding what people need."
She just hoped he believed her. It was the truth, but the damn ghost was so finicky. And she really was quite curious.

(ooc- Careful not to know everything Thaniel is thinking. I'm sure he may give a few indications that he's being tickled but your taking things that he's thinking and talking about them out loud. He needs to have some secrets.)
"You want secrets of ghostdom?" How ridiculous was she? Was she serious about helping him lift coins? There was no way he was going to let someone do things for him. He wasn't helpless... not totally.
But if she were so eager to do things for him for the promise that she were getting some inside track on what's it's like to be a spirit, he could work with that. It would be quite amusing, actually, to have a little servant.
"You want to do favors for me and find out more about what it's like being dead? I think that can be arranged but you have to do something for me." He rolled his eyes as if this were hard to admit. He even took the extra measure of looking around to be sure no one was listening in. "There is something I've been trying to do but I've been unable to make it happen. If you could assist me, I think I could give you what you want."

[ooc - Sorry! :X I fixed it a bit.]
Siren smiled to herself. Something the prideful, competent ghost couldn't accomplish? She was all in. Undoubtedly, this would build a fruitful, cutthroat relationship - perhaps her favorite kind.
She considered the proposition, tilting her head slightly to the side. "You know, you demanded to know my name, but I still haven't heard yours," she said, her voice innocently sweet. "And, quite honestly, I'd be entirely willing to help you with this little project of yours...if you tell me what it entails, of course."
There were few things that Siren wouldn't do for knowledge - surprisingly few - but she had to be sure, just in case. Undue caution was sometimes a necessity when dealing with tricksters, and this ghost stank of that quality. His bitterness, his quick irritation, his cunning, all pointed towards a double-dealer, and she wasn't about to have that.

(ooc- I have an idea for a short plot if you're up for letting Siren get tricked a little bit. Nothing major but it could be fun and you could bring someone else into it.)
"My name is Thaniel Warren." He was very happy to at least find one person who hadn't heard his name or the gossip that surrounded him. It wasn't every day ghosts were moved into Hogwarts let alone ones who were wavering between the school and prison.
"My needs are simple. I can't leave Hogwarts and I'm getting very bored here. There's only so many books to read and students to make fun of that I can fill my days with. When I was alive I used to enjoy playing cards. I'd like a deck of cards. I don't have money of my own, obviously, so you may even use the coins on the floor if they are of any help to you. When you present me with the cards, I'll tell you a 'Secret of Ghostdom.' Now that's not going to be hard for you, is it?"
