||OoC|| End the thread soon? || Damn. So he had still been sixteen when the attack happened? Yes, that was bound to complicate things. “Ah, I see.” Silas replied rather flatly, feeling somewhat annoyed at this revelation. It didn’t have much consequence as Kris wasn’t planning to do anything anyway, but Silas hated having his options limited on principle. “I hoped it had been more recent than that so we’d have some more wiggle-room, but apparently not,” Silas sighed, unclasping his hands and leaning back again.
”If you think it’s going to cause more harm than good then that’s probably best,” he said, standing up and leaving his desk as it was. The clock was still ticking and although he suspected a late arrival for their none-too-prestigious guests it was still his job ensure that they, at least, were on time. ”If you want to do make a move make sure you tell me first though,” Silas instructed, hoping at least that way he’d had time to dissuade him. Stupid age laws fucking things up. ”In the mean time though, you have ladies to entertain.”

Kris listened to him in silence, looking up at the older man. He wondered if he should have said something earlier, but at the time he had been underage, so whatever information he would have shared with the other didn’t matter. There was nothing they could do unless they were both ready to get in deep shit. The Ravenclaw boy didn’t want to do that to the older male. No matter how indifferent Silas could sometimes be, he still owed a lot to him. Thanks to the man he had a job, money to help out his mum and stay in Hogwarts. In a way, he owed everything to his boss, and though his loyalty might be misplaced, he still didn’t want to be responsible for trouble.
At the same time, he really wanted to be able to quit. He knew he wouldn’t be though, not until he finished Hogwarts and found a steady job. Not unless things changed drastically. He would try talking to his mother if he didn’t feel so disgusted and humiliated by the job he held. She would understand, he knew she would, but she’d feel horrible for forcing her son into this, and it wasn’t her fault. Kristian had made this choice, knowing full well what he was getting into.
Smiling at his boss, he nodded and got up from the seat he had been offered during their conversation. ”Thanks.” Even if he hated his job, he knew that as far as bosses were concerned, Silas was definitely one of the better ones. At least he never hurt him or demanded things that were out of the ordinary. Yeah, he was lucky. As long as people didn’t find out, that was. Giving him a nod in goodbye, Kris left the room to prepare for another inevitable night.
