GENERAL RULES
001: Treat Other Members With Respect – Treat others as you wish to be treated. Rudeness WILL NOT be tolerated.
002: Keep It Clean - Posts in general threads must be kept PG13. Use your intuition here guys, if there is touching below the waist, then you must place [Mature] or [M] in the topic title.
003: Read the FAQ – That’s what it’s there for… If you have questions not answered, reply to the topic.
004: Don't Spam – One line posts IC, advertising anywhere but the advertiding section of the board and using excessive chatspeak are all considered spam.
CHARACTER CREATION
005: Don't Make Your Character Undefeatable - If you don’t understand this it’s better explained in the FAQ. Your character can not have every power going, your character cannot be unaffected by all the other characters powers, your character can not be better than everyone at everything – let’s face it, no one likes a show off! Also your character cannot use powers not mentioned in their profile except under special circumstances, and you MUST explain these circumstances in an OOC note.
006: Don't Post IC Until You Have Been Accepted - You can only post IC once your character has been accepted by an Admin. Until then stick to the OOC sections of the board.
007: Don't Post Comments On Applications - Unless someone asks for comments, the admins should be the only people to post in character applications.
IC POSTS
008: Ask Before Controling the Actions of Another Character – This is just polite, further explained in the FAQ. A little OOC note in your post is all it takes.
009: Post At Least Two Decent Sized Paragraphs - Please try and put some substance into your posts – especially the RPG ones. One line posts or less is not RPing – it’s spamming. Put thought into your posts, try and give the other players something to respond to. Occasionally there is a need for short posts, but only occasionally. If your post is short try to make sure you give the other players plenty to reply to. Also please try not to double post – the edit button is there for a reason, it’s not hard to use it if you need to add to a post.
010: Use This Code in Topic Titles - In the RP forum it would save a lot of trouble if everyone remembered to use this code in the Topic Description.
(Open) - Anyone can just jump in.
(Private) or (P) or (Character name, Character name)- This thread is private, likely because it has already been scripted by the people involved. Members not invited cannot join.
(Mature) or (M)- Younger or easily offended people beware. ^^
011: Don't Hijack Threads - If someone creates a thread, they probably want to RP in it! Please don't go into someone elses thread with your friends and then proceed to make 50 + posts that has nothing to do with the original character. What is that character doing while your characters are doing all this? Picking their ear? lol. This can happen by accident - so don't panic - just pm an admin and we will split the topic for you. However if this happens a lot you will be warned. If you are in a thread and another character leaves that thread, then thread is then yours so the rule doesn't apply in that case.
012: Don't Post Incomplete Replies - Don't jump in a reserve a thread or post a half finished reply. Only post once your response in complete. If somebody else replies to a thread that you wanted to be in then don't worry, either ask if you can join in anyway (there is no limit to the number of characters allowed in a thread) or ask the person to start a new thread meant just for you.
GRAPHICS
013: Don't Make Your Signature Bigger Than 450 x 300 Pixels - This is simply for ease of use for all our members, as some of us are still using dial up and loads of superhuge images will kill their internet (which is why we have a dial up friendly skin option). We'll give a bit of leeway with height (length is NO bigger than 450 pixels), but we don't mean people can have 450 x 600 images, be reasonable. Also, please stick to ONE image unless the combined ones don't go over this limit. As a final note, we really love it if you link your profiles in your signatures, it makes it easy for everyone.
014: Don't Make Your Icon Bigger Than 150 x 200 Pixels -
For the sake of not mangling the board and keeping things pretty.
