♥ ♥ l e v i. there's always some reason to feel not good enough and it's hard at the end of the day. ”Yeah, I think so. I’ll probably miss loads of stuff here, but I’ll still go. This school’s all drama, Levs.”
Acia had definitely gotten that right; Hogwarts was hardly anything but drama, and especially in the relationship department. It didn't seem like there was a single couple in the entire school that wasn't somehow involved in some sort of love triangle -- or any other many-sided shape, for that matter. People cheated on each other, got cheated on, asked each other out, got dumped, fucked, made out with, and did just about everything one could think of with each other -- and it was just about the only thing that got talked about. The school newspaper was nothing but gossip about people's love lives, filled with drama and causing even more to stir up among the students.
Luckily, Levi had done a pretty good job at staying out of the whole drama thing for the past five years of his life, and he doubted that would change any time soon.
"Yeah, that's for sure," he nodded, "and it's not like break is all that long, anyway. An entire school year without seeing my parents is a bit much, especially from my mom's point of view." Levi glanced at Acia, a grin spreading its way onto his lips. "You know her -- if I decided not to go, she'd throw a benny." His mom would probably personally come and collect him even if he did try to stay here over break. No; Levi had to go back home. His parents would be crushed if he decided to skip the visit.
Not to mention, staying here would be rather useless. He'd just sit around and hide in the library or his Common Room, like always. [ "throw a benny" is british slang meaning "have a tantrum, a fit of anger.", just in case you didn't know. :3 ]

Acia laughed in agreement to Levi’s comment about his mother. She’d met the woman and, although she thought that the mother was very sweet and loving, it was obvious that if her son failed to come home for the festive season she would hunt him down and drag him back by his ears. She seemed to be the sort of person that would follow him to Hogwarts if she could, just to spend more time with him. Reflecting on it, her mother was probably exactly the same. She’d not had to face that situation yet, and didn’t intend on doing it any time soon either.
”God, I know what you mean.” She giggled, with a fake exasperated sigh. ”My mum’d go skitzo on me. Plus, I promised Rory I’d be there too. I haven’t seen him in ages, and apparently he has a new woman...” Levi knew how close Acia and her brother were. Rory was probably the only person she trusted and loved more than her best friend, and Acia wouldn’t dream of breaking a promise to him.
As for staying out of drama, well, Acia herself managed to stay out of it, in that none of it was about her, but it still affected her. With Ryan Robins being one of her best friends, she was constantly getting news that would upset her because it involved him. Every now and again, some unpleasant information would arise. Ryan did this, Ryan did that. Most of it would be fine, of course a little annoying, but it was only a matter of time before something would come up that would really shake the boy. She hated this thought, because the poor boy didn’t deserve it. She was thankful that nothing had been said about Levi so far, because that would really distress her. She couldn’t see how anyone could think of something bad about the boy, or any reason why they would. He was adorable, and the gentlest person she’d ever met. If they could find anything bad about him then the world was doomed.
”Do you think they’ll decide to do anything together this year?” She mused, referring to their families. It wasn’t unusual for her to see Levi at some point over the holidays, but every time she did it was a total surprise. One day, the family will just pile into the car and drive off, or she’ll wake up one morning and the other family would be in her house. Either both parties were bad at planning visits, or they just didn’t bother telling her.
