His words cut her deeper. Was there no end to his poisonous words? She just wanted a peaceful time by the lake, but he had to sit next to her and ruin it. Why wouldnt he just leave? Why couldnt he just go back to kicking puppies or something?
"Why..... why are you so cruel....?" She asked looking at him with with tears still pouring out her face. She couldnt understand how someone could be so mean, even she wouldnt be that mean to someone she hated. She glared at him, ready for him to spit back one of his stupid remarks.

Despite the fact that she was looking at him, he wasn't about to look at her. People who cried rivers made him sick. Finally letting go of the blades of grass that he was desecrating, Cyprian pulled himself to his feet. He brushed his hands off on his pants, a small breeze blowing across the lake and making him feel a bit chilly. Already, he'd decide that he'd had enough of this snivelling, whining girl. Running his hands through his messy brown hair, Cyprian snarled slightly.
"I'm not cruel. I'm just honest." If honesty was cruelty, then Cyprian Russolini needed to be condemned to Azkaban for terrorism. Of course he was stating his honest opinion, but it was something that would have been better left unsaid. Either way, he really didn't care. The Slytherin shot a glance down at her before turning on his heels to walk away. His damage had been done.

The usual reason had lured Tenebrus away from the relative familiarity of his herd in the forest, and that was a mixture of hunger and laziness. After all, why go hunt down your own food when kids at the school basically gave the stuff away? It was like an all you can eat buffet down there! Sandwiches and hotdogs and muffins and funny little bean things... awesome. Effort was for losers.
The journey was fast as usual, and all of a sudden a powerful blast of air hit the two students from behind as Tenebrus made his silent arrival from the skies. His landing wasn’t exactly graceful and there was a definite thud of hooves as his front legs made impact with the ground. Ghostly silent as Thestral’s were meant to be, youthful exuberance hadn’t quite set in enough for Tenebrus to learn any style yet.
Announcing himself with a loud, throaty squawk, the rather demonic looking horse rustled his wings happily before folding them up and going to explore his two victims. Head high, he made his way over. There was a green student and a blue one who was making strangled noises and squirting water from her eyes. Not a good sign. Green students were always mean and the leaky ones never wanted to play, because it was usually his fault they started leaking. He wasn’t even sure how he’d gotten the magical ability to do that to kids, but it was an incredibly annoying superpower.
Thinking the blue girl was a safer option than the green one who could potentially be violent; Tenebrus picked her first, approaching with his head lowered to her eye level and blowing out loudly through his nostrils in greeting, blasting her with a load of hot air.
By default he went on the assumption that he would be invisible to these two. There was no reason to think any differently, so he was expecting Cyprian to ignore him altogether and Athena to have a heart attack at something invisible going at her. It was a strategy he was used to, they took a moment to panic and then eventually became sociable. But still, it’d be nice for someone except Idris to actually know where and who he was for once. Oh well, as long as they had food!
